Fireball spams can be common if you are versing a NOOB OPPONENT in ssfiv. such playstyles are very easy to get around and win against. it just takes some practice and thinking.. (training mode is there for a reason).

if any street fighter player complains about fireball spam and thinks its cheap, no skill etc... then chances are that the player does not know how to get around the basic playstyles (y complain if u can easily win?) and therefore is a total shit player in street fighter series.

The World Champ in SS4 a year back was a Ryu player that was exceptional at zoning and chaining combos to his Ultra. As much as it may take "practice" to learn this I still believe it's a horrible mechanic. You play on a 2 dimensional axis so your not allowed to merely side step fireballs nor duck most of them. Alot of people see SS4 and alot of fighting games like it as cheap and uninteresting because they glorify an unrealistic and unimmersive play style excluding other flaws

Every character is equipped with ways to get around things. tekken have sidestep and stuff, ssfiv has focus attack (which is ironically not easy to FADC without practice).

In ssfiv, ur opponent can use a variety of playstyles according to the character, therefore, in order to reach the goal of victory, you must find a way to bypass the playstyle.

So take that, if ur opp. constantly "spams" fireball, its UR JOB to find out to get around it and win.

While tekken 6 has a set number of combos (lots of them too) for each character, you must find your own combo up as well as all the existing combos and input strings available. Potential that there are many combos to be discovered but under restriction of frames and spacing from character to character. The problem is for many noobs without this knowledge, the bread and butter combos are not mentioned anywhere within the command lists of ssfiv.

highly doubt that. tekken 6 have longer inputs for specific combos. there is set number of combos for each character. unlike you must find your own combos and input them correctly during the precise frame. It takes me 2-5 minutes to get comfortable inputting a combo in tekken 6.

in ssfiv, it can take many days and weeks worth of practice for that one combo (depends how dedicated you are). mainly because the frame data has strong effect.
