Again, running red lights is the typical normal behavior I see for bicyclists in Chicago. Apparently bicyclists are far better mannered in the UK, which I am grateful for. Actually seeing a group of bicyclists stop at a red light is unheard of in downtown Chicago. You'll see cyclists actually bully pedestrians out of their way, and I've personally witnessed people get knocked down and bicyclists flee the scene.
I reported this driver (LA08 LXZ - white Peugeot van) to the Police today because he nearly ran me and two other people over. He then proceeded to get out of the car and threaten me. He was pure evil! I am 99% sure he wouldn't have cared if he'd killed us. There was pure hate in his eyes. When I called the police they said that this is not the first time he has been reported and that they would take further action now. They better before he does actually kill someone.
@louloveshorrace hey horrace. sorry to hear about your incident. he certainly stood out as one of the more crazy drivers I've come across - really impatient and reckless...
@louloveshorrace I'd think a s59 warning under the Police Reform Act 2002 would be an appropriate form of further action - unless of course they already gave one, in which case there may be a Peugeot van heading to the crusher pretty soon.

"Jumping red lights at a junction near a school = unforgivable"
Unforgiveable??
Stupid and reckless, definately!
But 'unforgivable' is an extreme word for an event like this.
Now if she's run down a kid, then it's an appropriate word.
