Sony Vegas Pro 9: How to make HD/HQ Videos

The size is enormous though. I just rendered a vid of about 3 mins like this and the upload to Youtube has been taking hours now. Any ways of reducing the size which is now more than 400 MB?

Can someone help me please. I've recently made a movie using clips from a TV show and adding music to them. I rendered the video in full HD and everything. In the Vegas playback everything was perfect yet when i watched the video outside of Vegas the quality was perfect yet the music quality was very distorted and just sounded horrible. Any idea what I've done wrong?

Okay I know this is not in HD but the concept is there just follow what I say and you will be fine. I had an old laptop so I use the HQ format as look in this video and also this is two years ago and I was sick around that time and I was younger so yes I sound different deal with it and watch the video. When I click "Render as" and select "Custom", the width and height boxes below "Frame Size" are grey, and I can't type in them. It is 640 width and 480 height and I think that's the reason my videos don't render with the size I want them. How can I 'unlock' those boxes and type in my ideal video size?
