  • What would be the reason for using a distortion or OD pedal in an amp like this? No talen pedals needed.

  • LEARN BABY LEARN!!!!!

  • cranked all the way, can this amp stand up next to drums?

  • Is this the one with the EF86?

  • Is the input on the TMB channel a "high" input or "low"? It's placement suggests low but it seems insane to put n the low input and leave out the high.

    Cheers!

  • Does it sound muddy without the maxon? Mine does. Was wondering if the maxxon can solve the muddiness. thanks.

  • @dellorto33 the first 15 seconds or so is without the maxon and it doesnt sound muddy at all

  • @Jasonguitar73 sounds beyond muddy

  • @dellorto33 What are you using for a cabinet? Tubes?

  • @dellorto33 There are a couple of easy mods to clean up a muddy bottom end. You can add a choke or a solid-state rectifier quite easily. You can also change the values of the coupling caps too. There are many mods for this amp that are very easy to do.

  • @dellorto33 bias your amp properly!

  • sounds like an early motley record guitar sound !

  • i like it!!!!

  • so...how much did this amp cost? im considering one. but i would like to see if they can clone a diesel head.

  • e-mail Nik Kazim aand tell him what you're after... he'll hook you up.

  • that's the sound of rock n roll

  • but is two channel

  • Sounds good, nice playing too.

  • TONE!!!!

  • one of the best marshall sounds i ever heard was playing thru a ceriatone 18w (with rectifier tube) in a 1974x replica cabinet with a G12H anniversary speaker using an ultimate attenuator... fucken awesome man!! u will be surprised how many E and A chords u do over and over again cos it sounds so fucken kick ass... Just to let u know i blew my output transformer shortly after that

  • why did it blow? church?

  • is this amp good for ac/dc and led zeppelin ?

  • of course!!

    its a marshall style

with almost any guitar (maybe other than a strat) you will not find it hard to get a zep or acdc tone

  • @Kristianeb ive been buying/using/selling peavey transtubes, marshall mg's, JCM800, dsl's, mesa boogie rectifiers. They all sound both good and bad in their own way. But wasnt until I played a 18w ceriatone in a 1974x combo with a G12H 30th Anniversary speaker cranked through an ultimate attenuator I was blown away literally. You can just sit there and strum an A chord over and over again and be in awe everytime!

  • sounds great!

  • The settings are as following, normal channel volume on 10 tone about 7, At about 0:16 of the clip, i kick in a maxon 808 with the level crank and gain about 9 oclock, this is what pushes it into more of a jcm 800 tone, enjoy

  • this one sounds by far better than any of the others! Any mods or extra tubes? see you are in the right side input while others are on left? same channel right. great tone

  • I have one of these also great amp. sound good keep the videos coming

  • This is what I mean about the sound of the room.

  • Did this come with the enclosure for the amp? Like the black part (it looks like tolex maybe)?

Or did you make it yourself?

  • you can buy one from nik (you can also get a combo enclosure) or you can do it yourself. I dont know what jasonguitar did but if you are considering one you can have it any way you like it.

  • Ah thanks.

  • ok sounds good

  • Hey what guitar and string gauge were you using? jw

  • That tone is so sweet!!

  • How loud is the amp in this clip???

  • What kind of pedal were you using to drive that amp in the clip. I have the exact same amp and it doesn't really get that "raunchy".

I LOVE how you sounded there, that is why I am asking...Thanx

  • maxon 808, I switrch it on at 0:17, the volume on the 808 was maxed and gain set fairly low. it was just used to bump the front end

  • sounds great, love it

  • does anyone know the price of one of these clones in £?

  • @briceX Check out ceriatone d0t kahm

  • sweet sounds

  • Great amp. Did you build it? I'm planning a 18 watt project. I'm looking to replicate the 1974x as close as possible without spending 2300 on a new one. I've looked at MOJO, Weber, Ceriatone etc. Any advice?

  • metro amps???

  • George's Metro amps have more expensive parts because they are better parts and they sound more authentic to the vintage amps they were meant to duplicate. You get what you pay for.

  • getting a 68 replica metro amp! and it's worth the extra bucks!!

  • True but George only offers a 50w plexi, 1002 plexi, or JTM45, so the 18watt is best bought from Ceriatone. Now jason, did you wire this yourself or did you buy it pre-wired?

  • The GDS kit will get you the closest to a vintage 1974. A Soultone kit will get you the closest to a 1974x reissue.

  • I gotta tell ya, I just got a Ceriatone 18-Watt TMB delivered today, and I took it down to Guitar Center and played it head to head with a combo version (I played through a 2X12 V-30 cabinet) and I can honestly say this amp KICKS SERIOUS A-S, and almost identical in nature to the REAL $2300 Marshall (I paid $885for mine, handmade and delivered from MALAYSIA in LESS than 2 weeks flat!). No joke! Put a Marshall Sticker on it, no one would know!

    Las Vegas

  • yea, what were the settings on the clip? did u attenuate the sound with the master volume at all?

  • So i take it this is the TMB model?

    Ar eyou using any pedals?

  • Sounds sweet! Did you have any OD's on it, or was that all the amp?

  • that sounded killer ...mne is surreal amplification

  • Outstanding!! Great playing there too man!

  • Did Nik include the case? If not, where didja get it from, and how hard was it to install?

  • Thats some serious tone right there brother ;]

I love the breakup of those 84's. a little "voxier" than the bigger bottles.

  • Awesome tone, im going to get one of these.. that powerchord at :37, thats some marshall growl right there..

  • At first I felt that my 18w ceriatone didnt have enough gain. But that's going back to marshalls from mesas. There is absolutely no fizzy distortion just thick power tube breakup thats extremely addictive. All you need is an attenuator and a G12H (this combination will still sound good thru a shit guitar). My 18w totally blows my original 100w JCM800 away in terms of clarity and quality of sound.

  • this sounds ace man, how much did it cost for ceriatone to put it together?

  • nice~! sounz marshall.

    Like your playing too.

  • what does this amo sound like clean? It sounds really good so far! Nice playing!

  • that thing has a shit load of gain god damn

  • Great tone. What speaker(s) where you playing through?

  • This was wired by ceriatone. I however did replace The OT because it went bad. otherwise stock ceriatone 18 watt TMB. the recording isnt quite all amp though. it is my 61 reissue gibson SG with a dimarzio tonezone pickup.

the first 15 seconds is just the amp with volume at about 8 and tone at 8. at 15 seconds in the clip I turm on a maxon 808 with the volume cranked and the gain ony turned up a tiny bit, this takes it over the edge!!

  • Like a clean bust... Just great!

  • GREAT tone Jason!

I was thinking of getting one from Ceriatone myself. I am between the tweed deluxe and this 18 watter.

What's the volume and tone setting on the amp?

    What guitar are you using?

  • Cool tone....did you build this or have Nik piece it together? TMB with master volume? What setting for the clip?
