@ironman197268 No one said that evolution explains everything, nor did anyone say that we understand everything about the evolutionary process. The defective human bodies shown in the video make perfect sense it the light of evolution. Mutations occur. Some are neutral, some are beneficial, some become beneficial at a later date (in a later generation), and some are deleterious (such as the unfortunate children pictured in this video) Isn't god the creator of all living creatures? like these?
@pardh1961 Yes God is the creator of everything and The Bible says we live in a fallen creation because of mans sin, so don't go blaming God for bad mutations.
I watched your whole video, thanks for keeping it short ;-)
1) Are you aware that plate tectonics and vulcanic activity might be part of a functional bigger whole in order to make life possible?
2) Do you reckognize that many (not all!) disasters are intensified by, or even the direct result of selfish, careless human activity?
3) The disaster risk is geographically highly concentrated. If people can avoid to live in such high-risk areas, it will reduce the risk of suffering from disasters.
I'm sorry. I tried to show you a bigger picture (including man's own responsibility and actions) in order to soften some of your assumptions (such as: earthquakes and hurricanes (can) kill people, therefore the earth's conditions are not perfect and therefore the earth cannot be designed). My point also contains some elements of the gaia-hypothesis. Have you heard of it? .
@DefendingDESIGN Oh, and yes I familiar with the gaia hypothesis. But if your trying to defend intelligent design you've given a very poor example. We understand how and why natural disasters occur. There is no need for a deity or designer. Any way you want to look at it the world (by our standards) is not perfect.
I bet you do, but on the other hand, is there any scientist who knows what would happen with the earth's ingenious natural recycling systems without tectonic plate movement (which causes earthquakes & vulcanic activity)?
>>But if your trying to defend intelligent design you've given a very poor example.
Heat & gases expelled from a jet-engine will have harmful effects if you stand behind it. Is that bad design?
@StraightBlasphemy Your right; your a monkey. I may know how a watch is made and that doesn't take away from its need for a creator. We don't have all of the answers. We don't know how or why the mass that makes up this ball called earth exists, we don't know where any of the mass in the universe came from. We can only make an educated guess and hope we are right like everyone else from the beginning of time.
This is an example of deformity brought about by an interruption of proper genetic code transmission, most likely, but not necessarily, due to harm to the reproductive system, either through physical illness, alcohol, recreational or normal of prescription or illicit drugs . People as free moral agents bring about harm to the next generation .Fetal damage. through negligence is a cold hard fact of life Natural disasters are just that, man is out of step with God ,go figure.
Is it at all possible that the cells of the body should learn their functions, pursue their aim in a precise and orderly fashion, and crystallize so miraculously in the world of being, without there being a conscious and powerful being to instruct them?
Is it not rather the case that phenomena such as these prove and demonstrate, with the utmost emphasis, the need for a plan, a design, a guiding hand inspired by conscious will?
Christian science is always cutting edge and correct.
Like the fact that ring around saturn is actually jesus foreskin (its true google it) the pope supported this idea & it was the head of his library in the vatican that came up with this brilliant scientific theory.
Christians were still trying to spread the idea that the earth was flat in the beginning of the 1900´s google "flat earth map" and you will see a map of a flat earth with an angel standing in all 4 corners, like in revelation
I didn't see how your conclusion (God doesn't exist or is an idiot) was supported from the data you presented. Perhaps you were assuming that P(T/D) is low, where T = classical theism and D = there are deformities and other unfortunate circumstances (such as those you mentioned), and P(T/D) stands for the probability of T given D. But I'm unaware of any evidence for that probability claim (and have been investigating potential evidence for more than a decade). Perhaps you know something I don't.
And you call that evolution when evolution is to make things better not worst it is a prooven fact that mutations do happen but it does not mean they evovled it is still a human being and mutations are in the dna structure that allow such changes to occour god has nothing to do with it you people are as dumb ass the rocks evolutionist say you came from
@fultontrans1 True, some deformities are caused by enviromental factors, but the vast majority are genetic. Our DNA is prone to mutations, i.e. our genetic code is not the most optimally robust possible code. Evolution requires diversity, which requires mutation. The need for evolution is why our DNA is not perfect, which unfortunately makes us vulnerable to defects. It's called 'genetic load.'
And calling a kid an "idiot," very bad taste. He's clearly quite smart.
@StraightBlasphemy You should understand this that the world and we ourselves are not perfect but that we were perfect and so was the world and now we are becoming less and less perfect. The pictures are of what happened but we both know that it is not a natural occurrence and is caused by mutation, drugs and things not working as they should or were designed to. God designed us well and we are not that fragile. We can mend bones which are stronger than concrete and have flesh
@StraightBlasphemy made of cells which can replicate and absorb shock. The cells themselves are a marvel and cannot come about naturally.I don't know why you are angry at God but he is not the one your anger should be directed at and while I am angry and sad at the state of things it changes nothing being angry and this will not be the state of the world forever in fact very soon God will come and end the suffering.
@StraightBlasphemy Actually the leading cause of death are people who are selfish and that is that. Most people believe they understand God but they do not the do not even look at things from his perspective or try to understand that God has feelings and is Sad over the current state of things but it is not his fault that Adam and Eve chose to listen to the Devil who was cast out of heaven which was perfect before because of his jealousy and is now looking to prevent everyone
@StraightBlasphemy from hearing the word of God or making the sorce of salvation look like the bad one.God is the one who sent his Son to die and his Son is the one who died and suffered and was rejected not only by his people but by people now.God did not cause the devil to fall it was the devils jealousy which was just so wrong and stupid to incite rebellion in a perfect heaven and lie and make god out as the one who was wrong in placing rules as even the universe has to
@StraightBlasphemy have rules to maintain order.God just created him and perfect at that it was his foolish pride, jealousy and stubbornness that lead to all the not being carried out properly the design of the creator which was perfect but he was rejected so he is not there to make sure everything works out well but still you came out well did you not?Life is a challenge this I know but God is what keeps me going and the hope of what is to come is what i look for.
I think my favorite argument against Genesis (I know Intelligent Design and the Genesis account don't have to necessarily go together) would have to be the fact that God made a person so unintelligent, she couldn't resist the temptation of a demon disguised as serpent. That's a snake by the way, she fell for a talking snake. God created a person who had no logical thinking; a complete recipe for disaster. God must be an asshole or a person who hasn't grasped the whole creation thing yet.
Well said. I wish yours was a fresh perspective on this forum but that doesn't mean such an intelligent sentiment shouldn't be reiterated. Keep up the great work my friend. It is up to critical thinkers like yourself to overshadow all of the ignorance, fear and misinformation with strong intellectual reasoning and thought..

So evolution explains everything? Starting at 1:28, how does evolution and beneficial mutations explaining all that?
