6696ful, he does use his fingers. Watch at 1:40ish and you can see him chicken picking (country music technique). He cant use all 5 fingers because he is holding a pick. As he is a Rock n' Roll, Southern Rock, Blues and Country inspired guitarist he almost always uses a pick and rarely even uses hammers and pull offs- likes to pick every note cleanly. He is a master with his picking hand. Right up there with the technical greats like SRV.
