  • Well, well, well! Look who we have here! Nice video!!

    Keep it up!

  • cooles viddeo mach mehr saftey demos

  • i also often fly with austrian and swiss ;)

there is a great differnece in the language and i noticed it especially after starting to work for mobilkom

btw austrian is a bit over dominated by lufthansa, but hope it will become more independent

  • i do often fly with austrian i love it i love the safety demo in austrian very much very good video!!

  • GERMAN! :D

  • ja, in austria sprechen sie auch deutsch!

  • What other languages? Like I know, Switzerland speaks French and German

  • Switzerlands official Languages are German (totaly not understandable for Germans, more understandable for Austrians however totaly different), French, Italian and Rhaeto-Romance(Romansch).

  • well, I'm Swiss and I'll tell you... The German-, Austrian- and the Swiss-German are totaly different, as violinplayer21c said. (and the Swiss-German is also totaly different, in every part of Switzerland you speak another dialect. And some times they are so different, that we do not understand us ourselfs :) that's swiss) But, Swiss People understand (almost) everything what German or Austrian people say. But while Austrians understand us Swiss people a bit, Germans do not understand anything.

  • @swisshc But you can speak standard German too, right? At least in the cities.

  • So they speak German in Austria? Izzit same as the German from Germany?

  • Depending on the Region, Austrian German is understandable for most Germans. There's a lot of different words, Pronounciations and Grammar Differences. However, the official national Language is German. In certain Areas of Austria, Hungarian, Slovenian and Croatian are other official languages.

  • @violinplayer21c They speak Austro-Bavarian as a native language, but they also speak (Austrian) German as a second language. When Austro-Bavarian is referred to as a German dialect (it is an Upper German language, but really not German) you could say that Austrian German is a form of Hochdeutsch, like British and American English, so Austrian german is really A kind of Hochdeutsch.

  • @violinplayer21c Austrian German is German, only a few words differ, but most people mistake their first language called Austro-Bavarian (which is a real language) for Austrian German, which is basically a second language to them.

  • I love Austrian. Im Australian but am learning German . I hope yo get more fluent so i can work for them. Ive flown austrians longest route SYD-VIE in the 777-200( austrian dusent fly this as of March 2007) The uniforms are prob one of the most stylish ive seen!

  • question: do you work for qantas or etihad?

  • Etihad Airways - The National Airline of the United Arab Emirates.... fly me!

  • I tot national airlines was Emirates, the one that has "Fly Emirates" all over Chelsea Soccer Team

  • Etihad is actually the national airline of the Abu Dhabi emirate. Dubai has its own airline, Emirates.

That means the UAE has at least two "flag" carriers.

  • what airport is KBP?

  • Boryspil (Hint: Three letter codes are the airport's IATA code. Try open Wikipedia and type KBP or any airport code)

  • S. Petersburg (Leningrade)

  • Soory I was wrong KBP is Kiev!

  • So, there is people who likes to do the safety demonstration :O. I hate to do it :b.

    C ya!

  • The Steward is a beautiful beautiful man.

  • just so sexy...

  • Ja do schau här. Mai feeesch die Demontratiooon.

  • Did you let a passenger film yourself ;) ?

  • nope, just a collegue

  • i'd like to use that uniform is so beautiful! and colourful, nice video! ;)

  • the uniform is horrible!

  • SHUT UP! ;)

  • heyy .. I wanna be a flight attendant.. so.. i was just wondering if i could ask u some things... thanks. - Andrea

  • I must say...good job Matthias! Don't you ever get tired of doing the demos twice for the different languages? Its too bad you guys don't have a safety video instead, so you don't have to do it twice.

Where I work, all of our A319/A320/A321 and B757 aircraft use the safety videos. The only aircraft that the crews have to do a demo on is the B737 only because we don't have video systems on board.

Keep up the good work snd keep that smile going...I can tell you really love your job!

  • Hey ya! Yeah, we do have video systems on all our 320 series aircraft. It just was broken on that day, that's why we had to do it live.

    Hugs, Matthias ;)

  • Thats so funny that you mentioned that...I just got off one of our flights an hour ago and we had the same thing happen to us. Our video system was broke but it was only a 40 minute flight so it wasn't all that bad.

But what would we do without those video systems? I think I would go crazy not being able to watch anything haha.

  • Similar to Qantas, we had broken video recorder, so they didnt use life vest to show us how to wear it.

  • It's all well skiping the life vest, but what if the captain decides to make an emergency landing on water? - It does happen..

  • International Aviation Proceedures say that a life vest demonstration only has to be performed in case of flying to or from an airport which is in direct vicinity of a sea or lake and in case of extendet over-water operation where mainland could not be reached if an emergency descent has to be made origination from cruising altitude.

Hope that helped, any further questions, just ask. ;)

  • Nice safety demo! I like it LIVE. Airshow safety videos might be boring :-) Anyway I've never seen to show where to place cabin bags in safety demo :-)

  • Ha!

  • Achja! Ab Flügen über 65min wird der Mittelsitz der Business- class frei gehalten (durch das "Reserved for your comfort" label markiert) und der sog. Class Divider verschoben. Aha!

  • Auf allen Flügen mit F70/320/737! Auch München (40min), Prag, Budapest etc.

  • Short and sweet safety demo... I guess you skipped the life vest demo because the flight between Kiev and Vienna does not overfly water! Alles gute zum neuen Jahr!

  • i didn't know that you had to do the saftey demo twice. because of two languages i guess.
