My dad owned this exact model and color when I was a kid - the stern drive model is actually a bit faster but we had the 460 Ford Jet and it ruled! I never forgave my dad for selling that boat! lol
So At first I was like this video sucks, and what a old boat... then he opened that baby up! I was impressed. Nice engine tone and performance. Hell of a rooster tail!
Braymeister doesn't know what he's talking about! He thinks it's an I/O drive, when infact it's a jet. There's no damage to be done to a jetdrive by running it that way. It actually makes the boat go faster because it gets the bow out of the water more.
This is really cool. Braymeister is a square! Besides, I don't think a rooster tail hurts a jet drive. This video brings back a whole lot of good memories of a friend who had a Glastron Carlson CV-23 just like the one in this video. Thank you whomever it is that has kept this classic boat in great condition. Someone really ought to start making this model boat again. It has a timelessly cool shape like a Mini Cooper.

Jets "wonder" a lot at low speed. Constant correction is necessary unless you are up on plane.
