Most popular artists are with eSports media like buttonbashers and tek9. So no, more than likely they are not set up. I also reconize most of the names of the players and teams because most good frag movies are only staring teams/people top in the scene.

@WizeRetard Promod is the competitive mod used by all top competitive players. You can't get anywhere in the scene without playing promod. (the game is dead now anyway) Every other frag movie you see are mostly professional players who have a name for themselves and everyone knows. All their frags come from 5v5 matches/scrims against other teams that are of the same skill level as them. mIRC is a chat program people use to get scrims.
