And i will say AGAIN this car is no where near 600 rwhp... lmfao.
This car does 60-100 in 5.4 seconds.
A stock 450 rwhp LIGHTER z06 does 60-100 in 4.2 seconds.
this sts turbo equipped vette isnt even close to making 100 horsepower more then stock, let alone 600 rwhp. matter of fact its probably a stock LS3 vette... LOL cant hear the turbos in the car at wide open throttle anyways
there is absolutely no way this car is anywhere near 600 rwhp if that 100mph run was floored. Measuring 60-100 timed out at 5.4 seconds 60-100.
My trans am dynoed 550 rwhp on 12lbs with a pt76 turbo on a mustang dyno and does 60-100 in 3.2 seconds on 12lbs of boost and 3.7 on 9 lbs.
There is also no way that the turbo helps with fuel mileage. Its produces no boost at cruise and the turbine is just in the way in the exhaust out of boost. I can get 50mpg driving down a long hill as well.
@uscgjake22 hahahahahahaha.... fucking youtube comments.. hey look going down a long hill will help gas mileage too. I have a fucking turbo, i have a fucking ls1, i tune these fucking things all the time. Hey guess what also??? Light throttle and crusing the turbo is just sitting there not spooling, not doing ANYTHING. It will not help fuel mileage, but it wont hurt it either. If you think this vette is getting 40-50 mpg your a FUCKING idiot. STS is running BULLSHIT marketing.
@uscgjake22 also it is absolutely no surprise for a stock vette to average 30+ mpg just cruising in 6th gear on flat roads.drafting a big truck, going down a slight incline would easily show these stupid numbers from the DIC. They only show short clips and never the road during those amazing 50mpg shots. STS is bullshit that needs to stop false advertising that their kit helps fuel mileage. This vette would show those numbers on the display with or without the turbo.. Its how they are driving.
@uscgjake22 Not to mention that these are INSTANT MPG. You can drive down the road with instant mpg and get dumb numbers like this... but drive 30-40 miles of varying terrain and guess what will happen to your mpg avg. No where near what you would seeing in your instant shots. i really hope people dont believe this bull shit.
This is only because when you're cruising, instant MPG refers to how much gas the car is using at that second (which isn't much at 1200rpm in 6th gear). The EPA estimations are averages, which make the numbers much worse. I also feel that car companies grossly skew the numbers on MPG calculations done in the car, because I'm sorry to be hating here but there's no way he is actually getting 40mpg with 600hp. Turbos do NOT help gas mileage.
@clevername209 haha edumacate. Sorry to come of as ignorant but no, turbos do NOT help gas mileage. Turbos increase the volume of air in a cylinder. So, the engine's fuel/air computer adjusts the ratio and puts more gas in. More air + more gas = bigger boom = more power. Notice the second thing there? More gas. When you're cruising however, this additional gas isn't used, as the turbos don't even have enough spool to shove air into the cylinders anyway (until higher rpm). Educate YOURSELF haha
@crimsonjets We have seen similar gains on all of our turbo systems. The C5 & C6 corvettes can achieve the highest gains with the 6-speed transmission and sleek corvette body.
you have no pumping losses, which is the pistons sucking and pulling the air in, which obviously slows crankshaft speed. with a turbo, the air is pushed in which creates no pumping losses giving you 50 mpg. that is bad ass.
yeah it can actually re-use that power coming out of that exhaust, and decreases the volumetric losses of the engine by routing some of that pressure into the intake, and the turbo backpressure helps scavenge the exhaust gases better. most places say 7-8% gains, but what he is showing you is possible. the other part of his gains where just chilling, not speeding so much, and just taking it easy on the accelerator
Also I am willing to bet the car is still under vacuum when cruising. The gains from turbos come from atomizing the air more efficiently. If you're building these kits you should at least know these basics and you should at least respect that your customers don't like to be taken for idiots.
The instant fuel system is "accurate" in a sense but it really doesn't matter. The fuel computer wont be accurate on this car unless the stock injectors are put back in (they get changed with the turbo kit) because cars today measure the fuel output via the injector pulses. It's not hard to figure out that when you are running 1200cc injectors but the computer still thinks its 600cc that there will be some error.
this guys an idiot, thats instAnt fuel economy, not average. it gets good instant fuel economy at 70 or 80 mph because the rpm is so low at that speed.
@edawg305 I remember my old '96 camaro in 6th gear was around 1600-1700RPM@70MPH, and was only getting lie 26MPG. The instant might be instant, but it's a better indicatior to what it may produce toward the long run. Remember, YouTube restricts videos to 10min. So, I was hoping you didn't want like an hour long drive
@edawg305 ...which means that over a long period of time it's still going to get that kind of mileage. most cars will not get that kind of mileage cruising at that speed.
Nice vid, but too bad you didn't show that you were going downhill and behind a truck. Yeah I can gett that good gas mileage in my accord, but I am not as happy as I would be with a 2011 Grand Sport. Anyone can get that good mileage, until they have to turn around and have to go the other way. I like your systems alot and I want one so bad, but this is like a McDonalds commercial, LOOKS great until you have some minimum wage, teen zit farm behind the counter. P.S. sorry for making this long.
I dont believe that. The DIC is pretty accurate but can be skewed by the driver. Take your foot off the gas and watch the MPG rise! Do an actual test with Gallons used and Miles driven and report back with your increase.
@CAMAROZ28AQUINO MPG is based on different factors.... Ofcourse when youre not opening the throttle... the mpg will go up... EPA estimates the MPG on 70mph highway and 45mph city (stop and go)...
@rodneyj14 You should see an increase in gas mileage. I wouldn't expect the exact same result as the Corvette. It is a much lighter car. However, you would still see an increase.
Thumbs down for 1 word, automatic.

Do you have a kit for the 6.2 in the 2011 Denali, or the 6.0 in the 2011 Yukon 2500?
