I would be impressed if the cup demo where the car rolled over it - actually had someone wearing it - it it truly protected the wearer - then i would buy shares in the company. And... who would throw a sweaty ball cup into a dishwasher with their dishes? Note to self - don't have dinner at their house.
dude i used to have this cup and i got kneed in muay thai sparring and i fell to the ground for like 10 minutes, cried to :P. i got the shock doctor ultra carbon flex and tht was alot better. but the diamond mma cup is THE BEST cup u can get. this one is meant for basketball or somethin, not mma.
im going to buy this and if it sucks ill make sure everybody finds out, if its good ill make sure everybody finds out about that too and ill recommend this item to everybody at my gym lets hope for a thumbs up
@SickGear except in this case, the "Crumple zone" would kill the driver, of you catch what I'm saying. Definitely too much give. A cup and a car are completely different in the way they aim to protect. A cup must stay rigid, while a car has to give to a certain point.
i dont know about everyone else but this commercial reminded me of stepbrothers when there like research and development, we put liquid paper on a bee... it died-.-
This DIamond MMA cup is NOTHING different than every other cup out there. "Hard plastic or metal" is not better when it comes to cups...all the energy goes into the user....once you use a Spider Guard ...you will never go back to a regular cup!...
@SickGear You can see it flatten on any surface when it receives light damage. In most sports, you want a cup that will NOT flatted with impact but keep shape. Such as Lacrosse, Baseball, MMA. This cup may be ideal for sports like Soccer, and Football... But to say that you would rather have that on when taking a 80+ MPH Lacrosse Ball/Baseball is ridiculous. You showed us yourself by hitting it with a rubber toy mattel!
@NewRepair ..sorry but you are simply wrong in this case. The physics is based off the similar concept used in a crumple zone in a car where the surrounding area flattens up to the point of the driver. The hard frame of the car DISPLACES the energy INTO the driver....a crumple zone collapses up to the POINT of the driver. The same sort of thing happens with the cup. We can argue all you like...the fact is...there are many both pro and amateur athletes who use Spider Guard .. it simply works!!!
@SickGear If I take a full on shin kick with a flexible cup like the Spider Guard, I will be down on the ground for a half hour. There is a reason thai boxers use steel cups; the problem is, they are incredibly uncomfortable; the diamond mma cup, or even shock doctor's titan alloy, when used in conjunction with pocketed compression shorts, are much better. A hard cup protects the jewels, and sends all of the force into the pelvic region, a malleable cup will result in testicular trauma.
@RebelWrestler45 ...I teach and train Muay thai..used to compete bare knuckle karate...and still train it..using Spider Guard. Your premise is mis informed HARDER IS NOT BETTER...if you made a soft plastic cup without the crumple technology..you would have a point..the hard plastic cup transfers into your testicles as well . A physics analogy is to envision a cup going over your nose. If you got hit from any angle other than 100% front on.the cup would break your nose..not the blow itself.
@SickGear With a traditional jock, you would be half right about a hard cup; with proper compression shorts however, a shot from any accessible angle with a top line hard cup will be neutralized. Oh, and I owned a Spider guard cup, bought it b/c it was cheap, comfortable, and light weight; a missed inside leg kick made me reconsider. The 'crumple technology' provided me with the wort nut shot of my life.
@SickGear lets see you take a full on nut shot kick or need to the dink and ill consider buying one.. watching this video make me thank god i attest have a shock doctor
@SickGear alright then. but what about the other things? like you hit it light? the egg was wooden? or how a bout you used a rubber mallet? oh yea and next time hit the reply button so that way i'll know when you actually reply, and i wont have to check. and also your attitude alone would deter me from buying this product. and about the nutty budy, lets just say i trust my balls with steel more than rubber. and the nutty buddy sits in a jock strap, it isnt a jock strap. and wouldnt this cave in?
Bought this cup with the compression shorts with the built in pocket for jitsu. I gotta say that it works 100x better in just a strap. My nuts were in constant jeopardy with the spider guard built in compression shorts. But had taking some pretty hard knees and it was amazing how it didn't hurt!
Don't trust flexible cubs after having a 200 pound linebacker on my crouch it will protect against quick hit but not under preside like a tackle and the dude crushs your nuts getting off you. It dosnt do shit in that situation
what makes you say that if hundreds of people benefit from it? I sell it on my website and it sells GREAT! Have you actually USED it???..probably not.... I love the critics who judge things before they use them...I have used it for 18 months in kickboxing, and jiu jitsu and its awesome....its comfortable and protects me 100%....a bunch of pro athletes we sell it to also use it ....
I'm still skeptical, but I can see how thing thing is supposed to work. Absorption as well as spreading. Regardless, I need to see the egg thing first hand.

Will compression shorts do the job of keeping the cup close and secure? will it not shift or move around while I'm rolling?
