  • I love not only your cages and you (super cute!) lovebirds. I also love how you never once say "um" or "uh" in this video until the very end. =D Much love from MrsTweet!

  • I find it funny how you open the cage

The birds just fly out and you don't care were they go

  • i was on your site and i was wondering what dri-dek is, i found it in the breeding section

  • Are there any awesome cages less than $100 on ur site? im not much of a browser

  • Hi! I just bought a King's Cage ELT4_2217 I'm not sure which model you have but I was wondering (since you seem to care so much about your birds!) if you think my cage is appropriate for my 2 cockatiels. I used to have them in a bigger cage but it seemed to frighten them being in that large of a space.. I just want to make sure that it's okay to have them in the size cage I bought - it's 17 deep, 22 wide and 36 high.

  • Just wondering i bought my cockateil older... he/she is a very tame bird.. but does not play a lot with things.. at least i don't see her playing.. any tips to make her more playful?

  • i had a pet cockatiel before!!! i love them they the best!!!!!!! XD cutest things ever!!

    Thanks

  • The set up looks really nice. I'm concerned though, is there any danger that the birds will get their toes entangled in the threads or tassels of the cloth-looking toys once they start chewing on these and begin to unravel?

  • @evolvingmonkey If it gets unraveled, then you get a new one.

  • @stargazrt4 Ah. Frequent replacement will answer hygiene issues as well. Thanks. =)

  • @stargazrt4 Ah. That solves hygiene issues as well. Thanks for the quick reply.

  • I want the cage!

  • The setup gave some awesome ideas love the video. I have 2 cockatiels in my 32"L x 20"W x 53 cage and they work out pretty well. They have more than enough space

  • This is what birdy heaven looks like!

  • @CatSqrrlGrrl Thank you! You should see the budgie cage, lol.

  • I was wondering if you guys will be having finches as pets too? They're adorable and very smart as well.

  • @Punkylolita Nope, probably never. I did when I was younger, but I would want to keep them out all the time and Emma, Sierra, and Mia would eat them.

  • This is like real estate! For the birds~

  • This is GREAT, Rodney! Your babies have it made :-)

What size cage would you recommend for three 'tiels? Three 'tiels using the same model of cage you have here. Will you please let me know?

  • @1boidae Tough question! No smaller than 36x28x66 and a bar spacing no bigger than 5/8 or 3/4. You would have to tell them to make the bar spacing smaller.

  • @stargazrt4 Thanks for input.... a 36x28x66 it will be!

You guys ROCK! Thanks again, Rodney ;-)

    Carmen (Avian Avenue - myakando)

  • @1boidae ;)

  • nice set up. My cockatiel is still a baby, can't maneuver around the cage that well but I'm going to get him a few more toys as well.

  • That patio door is truly awesome!

  • I love your video's! Keep up the good work! I've got a lovebird nest with babies, 3rd egg will probably hatch tomorrow. I learned a lot from your videos. Thank you!

  • why do you have metal on the floor?

we take the metal bars (i dont know how to say exactly what imean, i hope you understand me)

so, we take that metal bar floor out, en put wood chips on the plastic ground.

Its better for their feet, and looks 'friendly-er'. Also its easier to put, for example, little things on the floor

maybe an idea to try once??

  • @djPalikA They are called grates. It keeps the birds out of their poop and mess. If a bird is sick it will stay sick if it is in constant contact with its own poop. Wood chips harvest bacteria and the fumes of cedar and pine destroy the bird's respiratory system. This is how BeBe's older brother died (who never was our bird.)

  • Hey I have 2 cockatiels, they do play a lot, but how do you manage to keep each and every toy clean, doesn't she poo on it and make it dirty overtime.

I want to give them more toys but I am also worried about their hygiene and cleanliness.

    Thanks ..

  • @CarbonDioxide1990 Place the toys where she does not poop. That's what we do. We line the perches up so that there is not a "landing area" for the poop. Plus change the toys monthly. She only has one toy per each perch. Something to do for each sectio of the cage.
