Hyper hurricanes are the kind of hurricanes that is 100 times more powerful then Hurricane Katrina. The size of hyper hurricanes could be as large as North America and packing winds of over 500 mph. It can create also create 60 ft storm surges. The ocean temp must be very hot of 122 degrees or higher. This can be caused by an asteroid, supervolcano eruption, large volcano eruption, or very intense global warming.

Every 3 days, a pocket of air escapes the Sahara desert and travels westward. This pocket of air is called a tropical wave. As the tropical wave travels west and hits the ocean, it begins to gain strength from evaporating water. If the globe warms up, and water temperatures rise, there will be more evaporation. As there is more evaporation, the storm strengthens and begins to rotate. As the storm strengthens, even more, wind speed increases. Eventually it could become a hurricane.

I am sure she has thought this through, but it is just that she bases so much of her study results on this finding and not other alternative showings.
