Rihanna's version is like a kind of bitch who have fun with a guy in a disco, and that's all. When you look at the music clip, you can feel it to. She's always touching her hair and doing annoyings faces, dancing without feelings with an unknow guy. She just seems to doesn't care of him.

In Jamie's version, I think there is more feelings and emotions. The beat, Jamie's voice and the instruments are much better. In this version, it isn't an unimportant meeting but a connexion between 2 humans.

Not to be anal but to politely correct you, there is no such thing as a "british" accent. Great Britain consists of Wales, Scotland, England and Northern Ireland. The english accent is so much different than the scottish accent, which itself different from the welsh accent and so on. Even England has a variety of different accents depending on the location of your background etc. But back to your remark, yes his accent is quite English.
