Have you had any problems with the stock internals at the kind of hp if not how much do you run it hard how many miles have you put on it with stock parts have you had any drive train problems ? I'm having mine turboed right now just curious on what if any snags you run into
yes the car is on stock internals....what box? If you mean what ecu i am running it is hp tunner pro....it is a professinal products intake and the fuel system is custom -10 feed split into dual -8 under the hood, car is also running on e85
@Jakethysnake93 I was just reading about it actually on LS1TECH... you have a question about ANYTHING GM related, that's a great forum to checkout man. Are you thinkin about running your LS1 on E85?
@Jakethysnake93 Their are advantages, but I wouldn't unless I was running high boost on the stock stroke with stock compression ratio. I'd try to avoid it though... maybe once there is a good amount of E85 stations around me.
how much boost is that at? and little head work and a bigger cam it'll take more than you think acording to hot rod magazine lol but on the street idk how much the stock bottom end would like it.
@omarluis85 i am the owner of the gto...yes the car can make more hp than its putting out now but as stated in the video it is a stock motor, and i am just enjoying it right now but the cars setup was ment for alot more hp each turbo is good for 750 crank horsepower, so once i get a built motor i should have no problem making over 1000whp! :0)
@Marshmallowrex Bone Stock short block (Original Factory crank, rods, pistons, bearings, rings; top ring gap increased) 4.8L (294 CID) Chevy truck junkyard motor (ported stock heads and head studs, 228/230 Comp cam, and FAST intake) + two 76mm chinese turbos feeding 26.8psi intercooled = 1203HP and 1040 lb/ft
60 dyno pulls in one day (the majority over 1000HP) and still running strong. Considering a replacement short block cost about $500, Cheapest 1200 HP ever
yes i am still on factory heads...the only thing that was changed was the intake manifold, how much psi really depends on your tune! we have a couple of cars here with stock 6.0 truck motors running 20 psi, also my car is on e85 as well
@Marshmallowrex 570HP with just 12lbs of boost.....That b18 would need easily double that to get to your 400HP mark. Plus a stock 4cyl motor pushing that 400lbs it isent going to last very long.
@Marshmallowrex It's not just engine size and how many turbochargers dude It's engine size, fuel supply, single or dual turbos, size of turbos, amount of boost being run, and the tune it self! Lots of factors change RWHP! You can run the same amount of boost, and go from a T3 to a bigger turbo and depending on how big you go you can gain up to 100RWHP! Because bigger turbo = more volume of air being forced into the engine! You could use 2 T3s and not even make the = RWHP of one 70mm on = boost!
@1320video A friend of mine Daniel Linnett owned a 04 6.0L Twin Turbo GTO. He got 21 MPG, it was his daily driver, and he could outrun Hayabusas! He was running 832.2RWHP and 1017.5RWTQ on 18PSI! I don't remember the size of the turbos but it was one bad bitch! He personally holds a couple GTO records!
@Marshmallowrex why would you compare a honda engine to pontiac engine.iam not very good with pontiacs but iam pretty sure they have v6s in them and a honda i know for sure is a inline 4. 2 very different engines.
Love it! Seen the car run this weekend in person and its def NASTY! You totally wouldn't think it puts down the power it does.. until the wastegates open and tires start spinning :-D
You just made a 3/S fan loosen his moose. I read "600hp GTO", b4 seeing "LS2", and thought it was the Mitsubishi variant, lol. Baddas Pontiac tho, keep em comin 1320!!!
i want this engine in my chevelle

I know Boosted engins love low compression.
