that doesnt make any noise i know its very bad, but this video as taken with an old fujifilm a210 digital camera, that isn't record noise but the next winter i will buy a new digital camera that will record noise!! ;)
cavaliers don't suck, i have an 04 with the ecotec and stock it was eating civic si's for lunch. i even raced a twin turbo 3000gt and pulled him 1st through 3rd only thing he got me on was top speed. he was blown away cause he said that he'd never had a car hang like that with him before.
That 3000GT was not Twin Turbo then. Trust me man, I used to drive cars in the Cavalier/Civic/Neon class and think I was fast too. Then I grew up and realized I was actually pretty damn slow.
dude honestly stfu. people are making it out like i said i was taking corvettes and shit. i never said it was some fucking supercar or anything just that they aren't as slow or as big of pieces of shit as people seem to think they are. unlike everyone else im not gonna talk shit on something ive never seen, or experienced. i know what is decently fast. i own a zx6r ninja that would take most any car in town i definitly wouldn't take on a vett or anything like that.
dude wtf? i know for a fact that a regular model mazda 3 can take a little z24 cavaqueer...and you mean to tell me this little mofo beat a speedy? HA there's no way...
well, i guess it makes sense considering the weight difference and the 1/8th mile run. it did seem like you jumped a little quick though. i'd say in the 1/4 mile the ms3 would definately hand it to ya though...esepcially in third gear. MS3 3rd gear=murder lol. props on the 230 N/A horse power though, it's not something you see too often in a 4 cylinder, especially a cavy
How did you get an additional 80hp NA? Even with all the bolt ons I don't see it unless you port and polish the sh*t out of it. Maybe you have a swap and than some??? What mods do you have and how much did you spend?
bullshit if a stock mazda 3 can take a cavalier i smoke them all the time in my stock cavalier. have you ever driven an cavbalier with the ecotec? mine was eating si's for lunch completely stock!
then either the si's who "raced" you weren't really racing, or they didn't know how to drive, because a stock cavalier is very slow. I seriously doubt u pulled a fckin 3000gt TT with a stock cavalier, maybe because it is AWD but it is still a long shot. I mean the 3000gt vr-4 literally has more than twice your horsepower and tq, either u are confused about the cars u have raced, they are shitty racers, or u made all that shit up, cuz there is just no way that u can defy physics.
idk what to tell you buddy i know what happened. and im not saying an si is slow but they are not what people make them out to be.and i did race the 3000gt and did do that well. he couldn't even believe it. my buddy owns an 02 si and we have raced many times and i beat him everytime. however after 108 mph he catches up and pulls away.and i have driven his car and had him drive my car and my car still beats the si but not by as great a margin. an si doesn't have that mush more power.
an 02 si I can understand, i thought u were talking 8th gen si, but yeah the 3000gt thing still baffles me, was it a vr-4 or was it the base model with turbos added aftermarket?
the new si's really aren't all they are cracked up to be either. and it also depends on how much gets to the ground and gearing as well. the newest gen si's really still don't have much more power than a stock ecotec cavalier either. the factory rates the ecotec at 140hp but some put out more some less. gm did the same thing with the transam in the late 70's. i dorealise that was a v8 and this is in inline 4. and not all 3000gt turbo's were vr4 awd models.
I agree, I think the civic needs a turbo before it can be considered competitive in its market, it is severely underpowered. And the vr-4 thing, I know, which is why I asked whether or not it was a vr-4 model (which comes stock with twin turbos), or if it was a base 3000gt with aftermarket turbos.
Yes, all 3000GT Turbo's were VR-4 and AWD. The base and SL 3000GT's were not boosted and were heavy and slow. I can tell you right now that you DID NOT beat a turbo 3000GT with a stock Cavalier if he was actually racing you unless his turbo was blown and he was only running on 3 cylinders.
I take that back the cavy does have some work done to it. But if you can pause at second 38 notice how it looks as if the cavy leaves the line way before the MS3 starts moving. Possible false start or maybe the MS3 wasn't paying attention. Regardless watch the end the MS3 is catchin back up with you with ease. Great job doing work on the car. But in a real race with a real drive this wouldn't be the case.
This is the worst VID ever. And the dude driving the speed 3 got a late jump. Their is no way on God's green eart that a stock nasty z24 POS chevy will beat a MS3. Go read some more dude. Your car is crap sorry man!!!
mazdaspeed 3 launches are all about the driver. and i'm guessing the cavalier was auto. still pretty sad.

stock speedy vs my modified Z24 yes its true, i have only 230hp but all natural aspiration, no boost lag!! and its only a 1/8 miles drag

even if the mazdaspeed had a late jump, it still should've used the 268 hp to its advantage and take the cav.
