They don't pick their songs based on if it "fits" GTA or not, they pick them from what type of music is common in the area that the game is based in, which is pretty much everything in New York. That's why a lot of people are complaining that the soundtrack sucks. It actually is really good, but the gems are spread out over many different genres, you have to have a broad taste in music to get the most out of this soundtrack.
the game is in New York if you knew anything about the ppl that live in New York youd know theres ALOT of Puerto Rican and Dominican and Hispanic people there. what do you think they listen to? reggeton is big in New York.
