@broadwaymike92 I remember seeing that part in this interview in a bonus feature on my Wizard of Oz DVD I have at home. I also saw the interview she did with Jack on his show in 1967 where she told the story about how one of the munchkin actors asked her out while they were still working on the film.
Judy looked wonderful here. She was in great voice too! I don't think Jack Paar interrupted her. They talked like two friends usually do breaking in between each others' sentences. It was just a great interview that they forgot Robert Goulet was waiting to come out. The chemistry between Judy & Jack was on air perfect & got caught up in the moment which is why Jack Paar made the joke that there was a young man growing older back stage which was a nod to Goulet that he was going to bring him out.
@plp1964 - I think it's just that Judy always closed with OTR, and in the joke a producer was fired for wanting her to open with it instead. The line about it being an inside joke was probably just Jack Paar trying to save himself because hardly anyone laughed!
"Hold it! You three dirty hams, let that little girl in there!" Ckassic Hollywood story Judy ever told! RIP Judy Garland
