  • You did such an amazing job on this.....

  • @Letswinjeff Thank you. I'm glad you like it and I appreciate you taking the time to comment.

  • LOST IN THE FOG WAS SURELY A CHAMPION,... racing winning and all the time suffering with those cancerous tumors.... poor baby......

  • Old friends thoroughbred retirement , The exceller fund ect ect cold use some help. its been a harsh winter and the hay consumpion is taking a beating. please send help for the retired race horses.

  • This is one of the saddest things in my life. To see horses die by doing the things they loved. And how they would do anything for us.Just to impress us, and show us how much they cared for the sport.

  • Yes, it is sad knowing that they go to great lengths to entertain us and get very little in return. That is why I believe more needs to be done to make tracks safer for horse and rider, and we need to take care of these athletes when their careers are over. They deserve better than a slaughterhouse! Ferdinand was a Kentucky Derby winner for God's sake, and they slaughtered him?! That's how we treat champions?

  • I agree, I hate this so much, I a in love with horse racing and racehorses, and want to be a jockey, but the horses deserve more in retirement.... what will happen to Mine that Bird if he is a gelding and wont breed????

  • what about Timely Writer, a great 2 yr old, probably not a world-beater, but always gave his all.....broke down in the Jockey Club Gold Cup at Belmont Park, October 9th, 1982

  • perfect video, except that john henry is still alive and kickin! 33 and still ornery as ever. thanks for the pics though, those are hard to find of him:)

  • Sorry to have to break it to you, but John Henry just died. He had a rough summer and suffered from dehydration due to a heatwave. They were treating him, but deveolped kidney problems and stopped responding to treatments. He was euthanized on Oct. 8th of this year.
