So sweet, I love when were basically running side by side to the next stop etc. Im also looking to take this cruise as my first carnival cruise ever this coming april.

The walls in the rooms are not very thick, you can easily hear what's going on outside in the hallway (the people in passing in the hallway were very loud to top it off) 5. The music near the end gave me chills because it musically reflected my sentiments and the morale on board the ship on our last night out at sea and as we were pulling into Miami in the morning.

@XxscarsXnevaXhealxX - I avoided cruises for years because I get SICK AS A DOG when out on small boats... But I've been on three cruises and not once have I even felt queasy. Even on one cruise during Hurricane Ike, where we had VERY rough seas, it didn't bother me at all. The ships are so big and quite stable... you should not have any trouble.
I JUST got off the Carnival Destiny ship. I must say that I get REALLY sick on smaller boats. Even with these waves as large as they were, I could barley feel the ship moving. Since the ship is so large, you should have no problem. If you are still concerned, you can ask your doctor about motion sickness pills to bring on board as your back up. But I had no problem on the tenders (the smaller boats used to get from the ship to land if one of your ports cant be docked in)
@XxscarsXnevaXhealxX I get a little sea sick and so I take those dramamine (sp?) pills and that helps me. I took my first cruise Nov 2008 and will be taking my second Jan 2011. I will pack my own pills this time. Buying them from the shops was a bit expensive.
@DessertDivaFL There is also some really good bracelets for seasickness you can wear. Benadryl really helps too. My duo for this would be pepcid and benadryl. Pepcid stops the production of acid in the stomach and benadryl helps with the nausea and queasyness. The only side effect is that the benadryl makes you sleepy.

A warning to anyone looking to travel on the Destiny..please look on Cruise Critic and note the number of people who have had cruise ports cancelled, abbreviated or changed (always closer to Miami) because of the numerous issues this ship is having. Cruise critic has a thread up now called "Destiny Broken". The # of incidents is large, each time CCL says it is mechanical. And CCL is not warning people there are issues w/this ship. Buyer beware..people have been getting screwed over.

Ok, but Freedom of The Seas is ten years younger and much larger than the Destiny. There's always going to be something newer or bigger on the horizon. Carnival Destiny was the first cruise ship to ever top 100,000 tons, and while she has no flow rider, she does have a giant outdoor theater LED jumbo-tron.
Freedom OTS actually has the same number of pools as the Destiny: three (not "two"). Freedom has six hot tubs, but that is actually one fewer than can be found aboard Destiny.
Call me crazy but I'll take the Carnival Destiny any day over the Freedom of the Seas or Royal Caribbean in general for that matter. Royal Caribbean has gotten too wrapped up in trying to build the biggest ship in the world that I don't know if they would be able to offer any sense of intimacy on a cruise. The new ships Freedom, Liberty, and Oasis just look to be too big and crowded. The Carnival Destiny was just the right size and quite frankly, Royal Caribbean isn't know as the fun ships!
dude the food is AMAZING!! i did the exact same cruise. if your going to ocho rios jamaica, its horrible. well, dunns river falls shops are. grand caymans is EXCELLENT! you should do the snorkeling and sting ray city thing. wouldnt regret it. just dont buy tickets on the boat(shore excursion). RIPOFF!!! ☺

Royal Caribbean has gotten too wrapped up in trying to build the biggest ship in the world that I don't know if they would be able to offer any sense of intimacy on a cruise. The new ships Freedom, Liberty, and Oasis just look to be too big and crowded. The Carnival Destiny was just the right size and quite frankly, Royal Caribbean isn't know as the fun ships!

dude the food is AMAZING!! Trust me i've been on many cruises! the dinners are to die for.. the only thing is that they usually only serve tea or water at dinners n if u want soda u have to buy a card n the give u this cup thing.. but yea during the day its all you can eat they have burgers n pizza, mac n cheese pretty much anything and everything! lmao well yea im goin on another 1 2moro thats y i was lookin at this video cuz I've never been on Carnival Destiny n thats the 1 im goin on..

i did the exact same cruise. if your going to ocho rios jamaica, its horrible. well, dunns river falls shops are. grand caymans is EXCELLENT! you should do the snorkeling and sting ray city thing. wouldnt regret it. just dont buy tickets on the boat(shore excursion). RIPOFF!!! ☺

Fantastic video, and I rated it 5 stars. I was debating on taking a cruise on this ship, but after cruising on NCL, Royal Caribbean, and Princess, and seeing your video of the interior of this ship.. I think I'll stay with the cruise lines I've already been on. Thanks for sharing though.... absolutely awesome video.
