@tgyhuj34 it's called hyper speed walkicking it's a TAS trick that requires frame precision to maintain the speed of the blj and it puts the speed forward instead of backward also you can perform it with trees and poles instead of water. i have some vids with that in my channel also if you like this and want to start to TAS you can pm me and i give you the emulators and other tools, tips and tutorials. It's a hobby that require a lot of patience but to me at the same time is relaxing.

It stands for Tool Assisted Speedrun. The tools used are emulator functions like slow motion (playing the game at 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, etc. speed) and save states where it saves the game exactly as it is at the time and allows that state to be loaded at any time, similar to what sleep mode does on your computer

FOR EVERYBODY WHO DOESN'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED:

First, he collected all the red coins underwater. Then he went to the rock where he does that "weird thing" which is also known as "Backwards Long Jump" (abbrv. "BLJ").

After that, he presses "up" on the yellow c-button which slides Mario away when he is pushing himself against a wall (after a BLJ f.e.). Then he lands in the water. Mario keeps his speed while he's in the water. Then he swims to the small thing there and wall jumps w/ ultra sp.
