Surely the whole POINT of 'cap & trade' is that we can decide exactly how much we are going to emit each period, and then the market has to stick with it, because there are limited credits.Taxation is cumbersome because it needs to be constantly revised in order for industy to be incentivised to meet emission targets. Technology standards work in some situations, but if a trading scheme is up and running, then companies will have to find the most cost effective ways of reducing their CO2 anyway.
Sorry - what's the "New Research" you refer to in the title? This is a 1m 22s repetition of an old argument - fine, but don't pass it off as something new.

@niccarstob Consider; did Alex Jones lead the anti war movement into obscurity?
Did he attack the UN on queue for Bush?
Did he lead them into the hands of the far right in the form of Dr. Ron Paul?
Ron Paul is the corp lobby.
He has exactly the same agenda as The oil lobby and Saudi Arabia at Copenhagen.
He even says so, he is for inequality and for you not to have the right to know.
Try to realize, this is important.
Find out the facts for yourself from good sources, not conspiracy sites.
