  • Thanks Khan Bhai, ډیره مننه له افغانستان سته ورور

  • you make it easy.i have to relearn this stuff for my exams I learnrd this in scholl 5 months ago and forgot about it

  • For whatever reason, learning is 10 times more fun when I'm watching Kahn Academy then at school. Nice job!

  • thank you khan :)

  • Thank you

  • thanks for your help but why you never use exponents

  • they will confuse the slow minded

  • thanks man

  • THX!! It was great! I took notes.

  • in doing the div and multi backward you get the same answer.

    from right to left:

    7/2 = 3.5

    3 * 3.5 = 10.5

    2 * 10.5 = 21

which is the same as the 21 he came to doing it left to right.

  • Thank u so much, my 6th grader watched and understood your video and is now doing his homework. you do a great job of explaining it even for me with not much math skills.

  • awesome thank you so much you really know how to explain yourself

  • are you asian ? doesn't matter but your cool :D you sounds so interested

  • bettert than my real teacher

  • How about: 36 - 3 (4.2 - 0.2)

  • the answer is 24

  • And you, yourself, spelled "know" wrong!

  • We cannot "now, woo, won, wok, knot, own, no, or wonk" if these are indeed misspelled variations of the word "know" or are correctly spelled words being misused, however, the error of misusing words is more egregious an error than misspelling words. That Vermonite was possibly doing you favour.

  • you are the best math teacher i´ve ever seen in my life.

Young math teachers are usually arrogant and the senior or old math teachers want to rush things

  • What about 75 divided by 3 times 15 ? you said it wouldn't matter what you do first.

  • It should be Multiplication or Division as you read it from left to right. Your lucky the answer come out the same

  • @mrforstermath: Could you give me an example where we break the left to right order and get a different answer?

  • i remember with BEDMAS

    Brackets

    Exponents

    Division

    Multiplication

    Addition

    Subtraction

  • Finally someone else who knows BEDMAS. I kept seeing PEMDAS in the comments in the first video and kept wondering - what world am I living in where I seem to be the only one who learnt BEDMAS!!!

  • ahhhahah tru

  • You are right. It must be

BEDMAS or PEDMAS but PEMDAS is

    wrong!

    See below the expression 6 / 2 x 4

  • I was under the same impression, until I read up wikipedia! It says that Multiplication and Division have the same precedence in which case they should be applied left-to-right. So PEMDAS and PEDMAS are both right, so long as multiplication and division are applied left to right (mrforstermath also suggested the same). In case of your example, left to right works :)

  • what is BEDMAS?

    Please, tell me

  • ? It's PEMDAS

  • Well that's what I learned in school.

But recently I found out that you can use BEMDAS too!

    Brackets

    Exponents

    Multiplication

    Division

    Addision

    Subtraction

  • Oh.

So BEDMAS is the same as PEDMAS just BEDMAS is worded differently. They still = the same thing.

    I prefer PEMDAS

  • Right you are Wafflesmart! BEDMAS and PEDMAS are one and the same and yes we all have our preferences (I prefer BEDMAS cause thats what I learnt in school)

  • 2:33 LOL

  • Why are the tight heads in our educational system not in tune with how you do this math.? for about three hours I was frustrated about algebra but ow it's all coming together (Reunion).LOL

  • It should be done left to right

  • Multiplication comes ahead of Division.

Btw, your coughing freaked me out. Hahahahh

  • Hahahaha! Me too!

  • this eplains it better than my teacher does

  • @Justine291 so true! :))

  • Very good video

  • Nicely explained... You are now my maths teacher...

  • You're right!

  • Thanks
