One big thing to know is that if you are doing applied kinesiology to see if it works, then the intention lacks integrity, therefore the results will only be 51% accurate. So please don't state this as inaccurate if you don't even know what you are doing. Please take a course in Applied Kinesiology, or check in see what is going on.
As you know the accuracy level of applied kinesiology is based on if the tester or testee has integrity, along with the question has to have integrity so it is very important how you ask the question. I have been using Muscle-testing for over 5 years, and have been very accurate and have helped people tremendously. The double blind test has been 100% accurate with me.
Jesus Christ? Really? Your double blind study is ridiculous! The guy your testing doesn't know what's on the card! Muscle Testing isn't psychic. I haven't read David Hawkins books but I've read many books on the subject and can muscle test and never have I heard of anyone trying to PREDICT outcomes using it. That's absurd! As was your qualifier for a strong muscle. Many falsehoods exist about this practice but your demonstration wasn't science, that's obvious to even the casual observer.
The subjects are also always told to shut their eyes and then are tested with the phrase "I may ask this question" as rudimentary. None of the basic guidelines were followed. You must be precise and clear with this experiment. No one should abandon the A.K. tech due to this failed attempt at A.K. Hawkins, George Goodheart and many others researched this method with scientific methods for decades. The methods proved consistent and perfectly replicable. The tester is in fault not anything other.
You should rephrase the question. David Hawkins made it very clear that if your results aren't paradoxical then it's due to interference or irresponsible testing. Interference can stem from many things, some areas addressed by hawkins are "cologne or perfume, jewelry, and negative tone in the voice of the tester can heavily effect a low conscious subject or anything of a negative vibration can. If so you are only penetrating that persons field of attraction, not wisdom.
Thank you for this thoughtful video. There are many variables to consider before getting consistent accurate results from this approach. Don't watch this until you are able to calibrate this for yourself.
The double blind experiment shown here is testing some kind of psychic power.
How can the "test-e" know if he/she is lying or telling the truth if they have no clue what they are holding?
And once they did know what they are holding (from the summary at the end) they knew they were supose to go strong, it was not subconsions, but consious.
Maybe the way to test it is to have it so that a brand new "test-e" knows the number BUT does not have a clue what you are looking for.
In Dr. Hawkins latest books he mentions in order to gain accurate results from the mentioned method of testing, both test subjects themselves must calibrate over 200.
Thanks for doing this test and sharing your results. I have David Hawkins' book. And this is the exact experiment I have been wanting to do myself. Your efforts and report is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your "courage" to objectively explore AK. I have read all of DRH's work, watched/ listened to most every video, and attempted similar experiments. I arrived at the same conclusion: AK offers insight into one's subconscious. Wilber said: "Terrifically interesting ideas, but caught in subtle reductionism and the myth of the given. All the "hidden determinants" he mentions in the subtitle are monological instead of tetra-logical."
This is not applied kinesiology as taught by the ICAK and the principles do not align with those of true applied kinesiology. This is confused with true applied kinesiology simply because there is muscle testing involved.
Test two double-blinded bottles; one containing minced cooking mushrooms, and the other containing minced deadly poisonous mushrooms. THEN, have the good doctor/promoter eat what he believes to be the "safe" mushroom sample.
When I was in high school, I used to use AK as a lie detector test, used to LOVE the looks on people's faces when their arm would drop on that second test!
Thanks for sharing your experiment. It is useful for people seeking the truth as it allowed many people to discuss the subject. i would see some of these comments as attacks. Attacks by people who wanted to question what you thought you were doing and how it is wrong. nonetheless, their elaborations coupled with your video, made for an interesting ten minutes. You are appreciated. Thank you
This is a difficult subject. On the one hand, it makes intuitive sense to me, based on my own experience, that certain thoughts and beliefs, particularly those held intensely for prolonged periods of time, can physically effect you.
On the other hand, using that hypothesis to "calibrate" the "level of consciousness" on any given subject based on a numerical scale....?
Hawkins teachings seem to me to be valid until kinesiology comes into play. Cut it out and you have some real wisdom, I believe.
Interesting video. I'm not so sure what this really proves. I have read David Hawkins' Power Vs. Force, and it did nothing for me. There just seemed to be too many flaws in what he was saying. It is very unfortunate, as the experiments he writes about are his experiments and not really a part of AK, but people are making the link with AK. It only damages the reputation of kinesiology even more which is a shame as I believe there is something of value in muscle testing... just not this : )
Depending on your perspective, you could say there is a problem with this vid or you could say there is not. The outcomes of watching this vid will depend on who the viewer. I would say that there would be two dominant outcomes. 1St, being people would totally disregard AK as some type of quackery. 2nd, that others would be quite irritated or upset with what they perceive as a negative attack on AK. And for the pro AK camp, therein lies the danger of this vid. Read, learn, withhold judgement.
I'm not arguing one way or the other on muscle testing as I am yet undetermined but I do see problems with this evaluation of it. One might argue that the body has affinities for those numbers?? Lucky numbers etc. I don't believe it was intended as a means of fortune telling as others have commented.
A better test might involve having samples in paper bags and seeing if the same samples are consistently good or bad for the test subject without the subject knowing what's in the bag.
@ballin1822 that song was from the Geico Caveman commercial when the caveman is walking through the airport, going against the flow of the horizontal escalator staring at the sign that says "It's so easy, even a caveman can get it" or something like that..
David Hawkins (& I have read all of his books) is a slave of his own ego. He projects his views upon a room full of people and especially upon the subject he is muscle testing and then, voila!, gets the result he thought he would. This is a well known phenomenon in muscle testing where the practitioner induces results mentally. Its a type of hypnosis.
There are several problems with this experiment. First, Dawkins is one of the worst sources for any legitimate or scientific explanation of manual muscle testing. Next, the experiment is wholly testing mental phenomenon (which can be very useful - but not for testing what is written on pcs. of paper, a physical factor). There is a direct resonance phenomenon where you can test for substances which is quite accurate. I applaud the effort, though.
I have read David Hawkins books and he has many valuable insights, although they are based on his personal beliefs which are not necessarily reality. He does not represent Applied Kinesiology but uses the tool of muscle testing. You would not know the difference, why would you? It is Hard to Think for ourselves, when all we have been taught is what to think.
Simply that a weak muscle means you have a weak muscle. Muscle testing is an ART, SCIENCE, and PHILOSOPHY. it is not used to prove anything, especially guessing what number, or substance. We test substances on the tongue, BASED ON NEED. You are demonstrating a cheap parlor trick, as in "Let's prove the validity of manual muscle testing... based on if it can tell us how many jellybeans are in this jar.
Ignorance and education are by no means terms of opposite meaning. There are many educated ignoramuses.
The person who is naturally ignorant becomes still more so when educated, because he sees less reason than before to use his own weak powers of judgment.
The intelligent person, when confronted with anything new, WHETHER HE IS EDUCATED OR NOT, will reserve his opinion until he has sufficient evidence available FROM RELIABLE SOURCES to make a decision.
1. Consider that the only reliable source is firsthand subjective experience, free of expectation, belief, and interpretation. That was my purpose in testing Hawkins' claims for myself. 2. Just maybe, consider that you use the label "ignorant" as a broad and sweeping negative label so you can discredit others without having to consider their viewpoints (or experiment results). Put in another way - What exactly is it that these "ignoramuses" are ignorant of?
tinroof, in AK if we are coming from one point of view or the other either consciously or subconsciously, it will not work, the mind of the tester and the subject must always be an objective one, open to any possibility, only then can a true reading be measured, this is a very subjective thing, to ask people to be open mentally, which is why it remains not widely accpeted by newtonian scientists, me, i firmly believe in spirit and its effects on health, and know that AK is valuable
I presume you have read Lipton's 'Biology of Belief" as this is essentially what he says. In regards to AK, our subconscious mind can actually get in the way of any positive benefits we may receive from AK depending on our programming. Especially in regards to something as esoteric as AK.
im not suprised you would be annoyed at people attacking your cool video experiment, but im wondering a/ what professional experience do you have b/ who have you worked with that succesfully used AK with his patients for 10 years or more 3/ what reading material on AK have you in your book shelf?
M - I don't interpret others' opinions of this video as attacks. Contrarily, I've found many comments to be quite insightful, opening new perspectives on the experiment and AK. As for your questions - let's just say I'm no expert. But as such, I have no personal bias, no investment in making myself believe it works. Being a professional fortune teller for 10+ years doesn't make fortune-telling legitimate, it just means you're really good at making paying customers believe it is.
again this is not AK- I don't know what this is...
this is a double blind study but this is not a skilled practitioner, the subject matter is questionable- what if nthe test subject liked the number 10, he is dyslexic, he has visual problems recognizing numbers, etc... various factors... Ak is a tool used by skilled practitioners to help determine, along with standardized tests, a specific patient's problem and to help with the resolution of the pts. problem it is 1 tool linked with other tools
the point of your video was not that AK does not work or does work, the truth about your video is that it showed us that to get a truthful answer you must know what a truthful question is...
"to get a truthful answer your must know what a truthful question is..."? Your lame attempt at making a profound statement failed miserably. Make sure you that what you have to say is actually poignant before you say it (really double check because it might just be pointless), otherwise you just come off looking like a tool. Peace much.
I have been in practice for over 26 years and I have done these double-blind test when I was in school and in practice. AK fails miserably in every test we did at school and at seminars where these AK guys think they know what the hell they are doing. It is ALL BULLSHIT.
It falls under the category of "Ideomotor Action"... Look it up.
I feel sorry for the docs (DC's) out there who convince themselves that this has any value. Most of them just never learned how to adjust.
in watching video it occured to me that you asked was the card number seven, in reality it was the number ten, but in the mind of the person was it the seventh card handed to him, food for thought
Fairly good test, however, youre control test should be an un blinded version of the one you're about to do so then there can be no excuses about why it didn't work, and you should run more than 1 trial with only one possible correct answer.A better test would have been to run maybe 10 trials of whether a card said Jesus or Hitler on it,then it would have matched your control test and you could do a simple statistical run up on it since anything above 5 out of 10 would have been better than chance.
There may be all sorts of reasons why this did not work for YOU. But it could also be that it simply does not work. More open-minded reasearch needed! Thanks for this interesting vid!
Hey, great idea and very interesting experiment! A few ideas; can the "body" really know what's on a folded paper? I think not - some kinesiologists may disagree. Perhaps try something that the "body" can know but the thinking mind can't. Kinesiology testing often gets clients to taste something (eg for food intolerance) or puts a substance directly on the skin. So perhaps test to see if the body can know if a salt solution (or something innocuous) has been applied to the skin?
Thanks a lot for the comment. Your suggestion is excellent, as far as there being a chemical difference between the materials being tested that the body / subconscious may perceive. I'd like to try a test with your idea. In Dr. Hawkins' work, he says that any true or false statement, whether known or unknown to the test subject, is testable with AK, which is the claim I was aiming to examine.
I doubt that your AK is true. You need more experience and practice. I would suggest you to watch his video Power VS Forces (3+Hours) and see the demonstration then you might do it correctly. FYI 2.4% of population will give you opposite result. Also LOC of both the people should be 200+ without any external stimulant, like love, affection, hate, background music etc. the environment should be neutral to conduct test and get true result. Thanks!! Any way.. Keep exploring .. Raise your LOC
Thanks for doing these tests. I've done a bunch as well with dozens of people and our experiences match yours. I've tried single person and multi-person as well. Hawkins' teachings on spirituality and the human ego are fantastic, but other than the fact that "Hawkins says so," I haven't been able to find anyone who can confirm that AK works consistently and reliably. There is the issue that Hawkins suggests about how it doesn't work when you test it to see if it works, but still... no dice.
Yes, my thoughts exactly. While reading Hawkins, I experience a profound heightening of the senses, mental clarity, and that peaceful inner knowing of "this is the truth." That's for everything but AK, which just doesn't seem to match up with my general experience. Given his ability to describe the spiritual experience so clearly and scientifically, it's hard not to treat every word Hawkins writes as truth... but so far my own experience has shown great cause for skepticism.
Thanks. I am open to suggestions about how I might conduct an improved test. Please also share why this did not meet the standard of a double-blind experiment. My idea of double-blind is that the researcher and subject both lack a critical piece of information about what is being tested. To me the results here were interesting because his arm still only went strong for one card, albeit the wrong one... interesting result, isn't it?
Good video. It may be of note that you were in fact testing, using AK, whether AK works. It's analogous to attempting to ride a bike, failing, and saying that riding bikes is impossible.
Skepticism may have influenced the results of the test you thought you were doing with the numbers. It may be wise to suspend disbelief pending a demonstration by someone who has 'ridden their bicycle a few miles' so-to-speak. Try the test with a few experienced AK practitioners.
Great comment. I very much wanted the experiment to succeed. We all want to believe there is magic out there, something mystical, beyond the scope of ordinary experience, and even more so if it is something like this we can use to practically benefit our lives. Often, we want something to be true so badly that we twist reality in our minds to accommodate our desired worldview. But you're also right that I was skeptic about it. Good suggestion about using an experienced tester!
I found that learning the technique without the pressures of 'testing' was easier. I calibrated all the books in my house, then shared my results with others to see if they found them accurate. In fact, though I hadn't read most of them, the results seemed reliable. With practice, the intuition really steps in. Of note also, is that Dr.H's dissertation is full of references that outline the limitations of double blinds. They can be done, though the usefulness is reserved for specific purposes.
As taught by David Hawkins, we have the ability to tap into the infinite field of consciousness and access all knowledge through AK, so it's not just our subconscious we can tap into. For example, we can muscle test historical events, the calibrated level of consciousness of various people throughout time, whether someone is guilty or innocent, and so on... stuff that we wouldn't know otherwise.
if AK can only tell something from the subconscious mind from the testee, then how is the SM suppose to know what number is on the card? Maybe your experiment was flawed, I dunno.. why not do another test and write down what you eat for 1 month, then ask question did you eat this on that date in the morning? etc..
2.If y CNS doen't know the answer there's no point of asking: if your buddy knew he was holding #7 and you tell him to say "I have #5" he will be neurologicaly inhibited for just a single muscle contraction as his CNS knows what the real answer is and saying something diferent creates conflict. However when you go deeper in these things y'll see that the harder the question the more variables need to be taken in consideration...
The guy who 'picked' #10; perhaps it is his 'life path' (numberology) number. And the other person who picked #4; maybe it's either her lucky, or life path, or attitude number. Numerology truly has helped me understand myself & others; it's like astrology, except it's based on numbers. When i did my name vibration, i discoved im a '9'; the owl (A Number of Your Friends Might be Animals; book) And i've allways been a late nite person who hates going to sleep at nite! Thank God for Numerology
Numerology is cool, yet while it's possible that a number could have significance in one unrelated system or another, as long as the calibrator specifically states the intention of the statement being calibrated, it shouldn't really matter how a number relates in any other arbitrary system.
It´s funny how the people who dennies and reject the "traditional" science when is tested one of his pseudoscience and this one fails they argumented the errors on experimental procedure, its a contradiction and is totally typical of the fakes
"Is applied kinesiology a powerful science that allows us to tap into our full potential as human beings, or merely a pseudo-science that has no basis in factual reality?" I would offer another option "kinesiology provides a form of assessment to determine the state of health of a person and their perceptions". It is not a means to predict the future. Also having the subject holding a point on their body can influence the results as this can change their muscular poise and recruitment strategem.
I disagree kinesiology measures "stress" towards the individuals optimum health (that's mental/emotional, structural and nutritional/chemical health). Saying that kinesiology measures what's true to what's false is going down the path of clairvoyant kinesiology.
There are several different ideas about how kinesiology can be applied. This experiment deals specifically with those of Dr. David Hawkins in the book "Power vs. Force."
Hi i posted on the magician the not so amazing randi video about poorly conducted testing, on randis video there is no muscle tracking software used to make sure pressure is consistent and operator bias is eliminated, well conducted trials that validated some applications of ak used this, that is what you call a properly designed controlled study, it is amazing to see how randis supporters blindly follow him, even when it is glaringly obvious how poorly controlled and designed his test is.
I liked your video and the experiment you made BUT about the results, you have to remember that to have accurate data or results you need to have a level of consciousness of 200 or above. You can find this information in Dr. Hawkins latest audio-book "The Highest level of Enlightenment."
Ouch! Haha! Yes, I've read that too. As I have progressed in meditation and experienced more subtle levels of reality, my own experience (The ultimate reality test) has shown me nothing to indicate that a measurable level of consciousness exists. It seems to me that human consciousness involves too many variables to assign it a number. It's possible, but for most people that idea is just a monster ego-trap. It attracts people who want to prove they are more spiritual than others around them.
You are right, that's why we have to look at this with an open mind and see if it leads us to new insights that may help us take the next leap in our own life. In my opinion no levels are any more right or wrong than others. I try not to get my ego wrapped up in the idea of being at any particular level, unless I would be the level of pride of course.
Yeah, there's also the possibility that you're one of the 10% of people who, for whatever reason, simply can't get valid results from muscle testing. Did you try doing the thymus thump to reset your energy before doing the tests?
It's always good to be skeptic... and try to seek the truth... so kudos!
In your DB experiment.. your test subj. was not looking at the numbers... only relying on intuition... correct?
Would the test work better if u showed him every number? Than asked him if every card WAS the number 7... if he held strong when he knew he was holding the number 7... would that not give better results?
Also its good to be hydrated before performing muscle tests,it strengthens neural synapse connections :)
yes, dr daniel a monti validates what you are saying, he did a positive double blind ak study that shows how positive and negative statements affect muscle strength and it was published in a respected peer reviewed scientific journal,, so you know this can be used in sports psychology etc, showing someone how their negative thoughts etc make them go weaker.
If you're expecting kind of a lie detector, where the person is consciously aware of the choices they're mentally making, then maybe so.
But if it's like how many people use muscle testing ("Hold this bag of chemicals and see if it's good for you") then this study had nothing to do with it.
i didnt say it did have anything to do with that, things can be used for different purposes but to dismiss musle testing because you do not agree with one application is dishonest.
Oh my word ! That was the silliest video I've seen! AK does not make you psychic! Redo the test except have you inlaw look at the number. Then you make him say a number other than the one he is holding. He will test weak. If he sez the correct number that he is holding, he will test strong. You, the tester do not see the number that is being tested until the inlaw sez it.
Oh man, God bless you. You made me grin. We did exactly what you suggested and it worked, which brought us to the conclusion that AK is not an accurate way to test anything unobservable by the subject (as Hawkins claims), but it does seem to have merit when it comes to testing someone's subjective observable reality. Thanks for the comment.
I don't think this proves anything. These are just pieces of cardboard with ink on them in different shapes. How is one number going to effect him any differently than another? I guess it proves your test subject is not psychic but that wasn't the point was it?
To me, this proved that AK is not an effective way to test the truth of an unobserved, objective reality. That isn't to say it isn't useful for exploring the realms of the subjective and the subconscious. In our further tests, Joe tried as hard as he could to resist while saying something he knew was a lie, and his arm still went down like a lead weight. When he was telling the truth, he could easily resist and keep his arm up.
so, im a lot like you. i'd like to know the truth. im very skeptical about this AK. My question is, if someone who is a nazi skinhead thinks of Hitler, will his arm stay strong? if so, what exactly would that mean?
Keep trying. Remember you, your partner and the intent of the question all need to be in integrity. Don't forget to "ask for permission" first. It gets easier and more reliable as you move up the consciousness scale. Joy and Grace to you.
Thanks Cheryl! This territory is said to be beyond intellectualization or scientific reason. There will always be reasons for the mind to doubt any new phenomena, and there will also be those who blindly believe what they wish to be true as part of a fantasy. I'm open to fantasy, the miraculous, but I am committed to truth. This test is in line with that. So far, I've found no reliable test for the truth, and I know nothing as a fact beyond those brief moments of silence when I know "I am."
Your Funny... Cool vid... what i talk about on my vids (that is never talked about) is the fact that people can entertain "fantasy n Reality" in their minds. for example... many great thinkers of the past thought they had everything worked out with their theories. Which really is fantasy. because every generation has the ability to take any understanding further than the previous generation. thanks.
Good inquiry into a complex subject. AK is simply elegant, but not simply understood. BTW, Dr. George Goodheart, the discoverer and primary developer of AK, just passed away last night. His was an extraordinary life, and he was an extraordinary man.
One big thing to know is that if you are doing applied kinesiology to see if it works, then the intention lacks integrity, therefore the results will only be 51% accurate. It is very unfortunate, as the experiments he writes about are his experiments and not really a part of AK, but people are making the link with AK.

Its a type of hypnosis.
rahimick5 2 years ago
Isn't it what we call the "Mental Field Umbrella"?
Ok, I need to muscle test myself if I need to eat my dinner now..
CHIMESTERDOTCOM 2 years ago
There are several problems with this experiment. First, Dawkins is one of the worst sources for any legitimate or scientific explanation of manual muscle testing. Next, the experiment is wholly testing mental phenomenon (which can be very useful - but not for testing what is written on pcs. of paper, a physical factor). There is a direct resonance phenomenon where you can test for substances which is quite accurate. I applaud the effort, though.
rahimick5 2 years ago
I have read David Hawkins books and he has many valuable insights, although they are based on his personal beliefs which are not necessarily reality. He does not represent Applied Kinesiology but uses the tool of muscle testing. You would not know the difference, why would you? It is Hard to Think for ourselves, when all we have been taught is what to think.
akspaz2 2 years ago
OK, thanks for sharing your take on it.
TinRoofHug 2 years ago

The intelligent person, when confronted with anything new, WHETHER HE IS EDUCATED OR NOT, will reserve his opinion until he has sufficient evidence available FROM RELIABLE SOURCES to make a decision.
akspaz2 2 years ago
TinRoofHug 2 years ago
tinroof, in AK if we are coming from one point of view or the other either consciously or subconsciously, it will not work, the mind of the tester and the subject must always be an objective one, open to any possibility, only then can a true reading be measured, this is a very subjective thing, to ask people to be open mentally, which is why it remains not widely accpeted by newtonian scientists, me, i firmly believe in spirit and its effects on health, and know that AK is valuable
intomesea 2 years ago
I presume you have read Lipton's 'Biology of Belief" as this is essentially what he says. In regards to AK, our subconscious mind can actually get in the way of any positive benefits we may receive from AK depending on our programming. Especially in regards to something as esoteric as AK.

Ak is a tool used by skilled practitioners to help determine, along with standardized tests, a specific patient's problem and to help with the resolution of the pts. problem it is 1 tool linked with other tools
docfin63 2 years ago
the point of your video was not that AK does not work or does work, the truth about your video is that it showed us that to get a truthful answer you must know what a truthful question is...
intomesea 2 years ago
"to get a truthful answer your must know what a truthful question is..."? Your lame attempt at making a profound statement failed miserably. Make sure you that what you have to say is actually poignant before you say it (really double check because it might just be pointless), otherwise you just come off looking like a tool. Peace much.

Great Video!

Awesome observation. Thanks.
TinRoofHug 2 years ago
Fairly good test, however, youre control test should be an un blinded version of the one you're about to do so then there can be no excuses about why it didn't work, and you should run more than 1 trial with only one possible correct answer.A better test would have been to run maybe 10 trials of whether a card said Jesus or Hitler on it,then it would have matched your control test and you could do a simple statistical run up on it since anything above 5 out of 10 would have been better than chance.

So perhaps test to see if the body can know if a salt solution (or something innocuous) has been applied to the skin?
uloborid8 2 years ago
Thanks a lot for the comment. Your suggestion is excellent, as far as there being a chemical difference between the materials being tested that the body / subconscious may perceive. I'd like to try a test with your idea. In Dr. Hawkins' work, he says that any true or false statement, whether known or unknown to the test subject, is testable with AK, which is the claim I was aiming to examine.
TinRoofHug 2 years ago
I doubt that your AK is true. You need more experience and practice. I would suggest you to watch his video Power VS Forces (3+Hours) and see the demonstration then you might do it correctly. FYI 2.4% of population will give you opposite result. Also LOC of both the people should be 200+ without any external stimulant, like love, affection, hate, background music etc. the environment should be neutral to conduct test and get true result. Thanks!! Any way.. Keep exploring .. Raise your LOC
execmanoj 2 years ago
Thanks for doing these tests. I've done a bunch as well with dozens of people and our experiences match yours. I've tried single person and multi-person as well. Hawkins' teachings on spirituality and the human ego are fantastic, but other than the fact that "Hawkins says so," I haven't been able to find anyone who can confirm that AK works consistently and reliably. There is the issue that Hawkins suggests about how it doesn't work when you test it to see if it works, but still... no dice.
ArielBravy 2 years ago
Yes, my thoughts exactly. While reading Hawkins, I experience a profound heightening of the senses, mental clarity, and that peaceful inner knowing of "this is the truth." That's for everything but AK, which just doesn't seem to match up with my general experience. Given his ability to describe the spiritual experience so clearly and scientifically, it's hard not to treat every word Hawkins writes as truth... but so far my own experience has shown great cause for skepticism.
TinRoofHug 2 years ago
I'm not sure the poster of the video knows what double blind actually is--this video isn't it. Not really worth of being called a 'study' whatsoever.
burtfeathergrl 2 years ago 2
TinRoofHug 2 years ago
Peace.
RobSlanina 3 years ago
Great comment. I very much wanted the experiment to succeed. We all want to believe there is magic out there, something mystical, beyond the scope of ordinary experience, and even more so if it is something like this we can use to practically benefit our lives. Often, we want something to be true so badly that we twist reality in our minds to accommodate our desired worldview. But you're also right that I was skeptic about it. Good suggestion about using an experienced tester!
TinRoofHug 2 years ago
I found that learning the technique without the pressures of 'testing' was easier. I calibrated all the books in my house, then shared my results with others to see if they found them accurate. In fact, though I hadn't read most of them, the results seemed reliable. With practice, the intuition really steps in. Of note also, is that Dr.H's dissertation is full of references that outline the limitations of double blinds. They can be done, though the usefulness is reserved for specific purposes.
RobSlanina 2 years ago
Muscle testing requires that your subconcious knows, so how can your subconcious know without looking at it. Unless the testee was psychic.
janeeyre321 3 years ago
As taught by David Hawkins, we have the ability to tap into the infinite field of consciousness and access all knowledge through AK, so it's not just our subconscious we can tap into. For example, we can muscle test historical events, the calibrated level of consciousness of various people throughout time, whether someone is guilty or innocent, and so on... stuff that we wouldn't know otherwise.
ArielBravy 2 years ago
are you trying to be thick?Obviously AK is thorough bullshit.
billysue2 2 years ago
if AK can only tell something from the subconscious mind from the testee, then how is the SM suppose to know what number is on the card? Maybe your experiment was flawed, I dunno.. why not do another test and write down what you eat for 1 month, then ask question did you eat this on that date in the morning? etc..
dromycatcher 3 years ago
This is no 2B test!
1.What y're doing is more NET than AK.

Thank God for Numerology
datamatx 3 years ago
Numerology is cool, yet while it's possible that a number could have significance in one unrelated system or another, as long as the calibrator specifically states the intention of the statement being calibrated, it shouldn't really matter how a number relates in any other arbitrary system.

Also having the subject holding a point on their body can influence the results as this can change their muscular poise and recruitment strategem.
oneisi 3 years ago
Testing truth has nothing to do with prediction of the future. In the moment the card was tested, it either had the number 7 or it didn't.
TinRoofHug 3 years ago
I disagree kinesiology measures "stress" towards the individuals optimum health (that's mental/emotional, structural and nutritional/chemical health). Saying that kinesiology measures what's true to what's false is going down the path of clairvoyant kinesiology.
oneisi 3 years ago
There are several different ideas about how kinesiology can be applied. This experiment deals specifically with those of Dr. David Hawkins in the book "Power vs. Force."
TinRoofHug 3 years ago
Hi i posted on the magician the not so amazing randi video about poorly conducted testing, on randis video there is no muscle tracking software used to make sure pressure is consistent and operator bias is eliminated, well conducted trials that validated some applications of ak used this, that is what you call a properly designed controlled study, it is amazing to see how randis supporters blindly follow him, even when it is glaringly obvious how poorly controlled and designed his test is.
ProudToBLoud 3 years ago
I liked your video and the experiment you made BUT about the results, you have to remember that to have accurate data or results you need to have a level of consciousness of 200 or above. You can find this information in Dr. Hawkins latest audio-book "The Highest level of Enlightenment."
jcmilanes 3 years ago
Ouch! It attracts people who want to prove they are more spiritual than others around them.
kfbarnes 3 years ago
You are right, that's why we have to look at this with an open mind and see if it leads us to new insights that may help us take the next leap in our own life. In my opinion no levels are any more right or wrong than others. I try not to get my ego wrapped up in the idea of being at any particular level, unless I would be the level of pride of course.
jcmilanes 3 years ago
Yeah, it's really easy to develop a spiritual ego based on pride around your calibrated LoC... it can become just another attachment.
ArielBravy 2 years ago
Yeah, there's also the possibility that you're one of the 10% of people who, for whatever reason, simply can't get valid results from muscle testing. Did you try doing the thymus thump to reset your energy before doing the tests?

One small piece of info for you if ya want?
Muscle testing seems to work a lot better when the individual is completely hydrated.
It allows for better neural synapse connectivity between cells.
Just some random facts for ya!
capsule23 3 years ago
It's always good to be skeptic... and try to seek the truth... so kudos!
In your DB experiment.. your test subj. was not looking at the numbers... only relying on intuition... correct?
Would the test work better if u showed him every number? Than asked him if every card WAS the number 7... if he held strong when he knew he was holding the number 7... would that not give better results?
Also its good to be hydrated before performing muscle tests,it strengthens neural synapse connections :)

Excellent video and experiment. The problem is, you can always consciously will your arm to be stiff or limp, at any time.
jyoung78 3 years ago
yes, dr daniel a monti validates what you are saying, he did a positive double blind ak study that shows how positive and negative statements affect muscle strength and it was published in a respected peer reviewed scientific journal,, so you know this can be used in sports psychology etc, showing someone how their negative thoughts etc make them go weaker.
ProudToBLoud 3 years ago
The monti study was not about true vs false. It was regarding self referential and inconsistent statements.
OccamKant 3 years ago
the monti study validated ak, thats what matters dude, instead of nitpicking on semantics, the fact is it proved ak
ProudToBLoud 3 years ago
Depends on what you're expecting out of ak.
If you're expecting kind of a lie detector, where the person is consciously aware of the choices they're mentally making, then maybe so.
But if it's like how many people use muscle testing ("Hold this bag of chemicals and see if it's good for you") then this study had nothing to do with it.
OccamKant 3 years ago
i didnt say it did have anything to do with that, things can be used for different purposes but to dismiss musle testing because you do not agree with one application is dishonest.

Sheesh
Kevinite 3 years ago
Oh man, God bless you. You made me grin. We did exactly what you suggested and it worked, which brought us to the conclusion that AK is not an accurate way to test anything unobservable by the subject (as Hawkins claims), but it does seem to have merit when it comes to testing someone's subjective observable reality. Thanks for the comment.
TinRoofHug 3 years ago
I don't think this proves anything. These are just pieces of cardboard with ink on them in different shapes. How is one number going to effect him any differently than another? I guess it proves your test subject is not psychic but that wasn't the point was it?
DrPeteSut 3 years ago
To me, this proved that AK is not an effective way to test the truth of an unobserved, objective reality. That isn't to say it isn't useful for exploring the realms of the subjective and the subconscious. In our further tests, Joe tried as hard as he could to resist while saying something he knew was a lie, and his arm still went down like a lead weight. When he was telling the truth, he could easily resist and keep his arm up.
TinRoofHug 3 years ago
so, im a lot like you. i'd like to know the truth. im very skeptical about this AK. My question is, if someone who is a nazi skinhead thinks of Hitler, will his arm stay strong? if so, what exactly would that mean?

Thanks Cheryl! This territory is said to be beyond intellectualization or scientific reason. There will always be reasons for the mind to doubt any new phenomena, and there will also be those who blindly believe what they wish to be true as part of a fantasy. I'm open to fantasy, the miraculous, but I am committed to truth. This test is in line with that. So far, I've found no reliable test for the truth, and I know nothing as a fact beyond those brief moments of silence when I know "I am."
