network technology is really intersting, but corporations will turn you into a nuerotic tech slave over night; work 60 normal business hours, plus on call 24x7x365 (networks break), plus maintenance when normal people are sleeping. Rather find a profession where you will have a life, or work in europe or latin america where you can do this and still walk away.
@ironham I disagree. My bf fell in love with networking as a teen, earned 6 figures by age 25 and gets 5 weeks vacation a year so we get to travel a lot. I agree it is a lot of hours, responsibility and commitment, but technology can be fun, as I'm studying something similar. Don't forget that if you burn out on being a corporate drone, you can go into consulting as well which I see a lot of older IT guys end up doing.
Jen is super hott!! I will watch again just for her.

JAJAJA... Chile (Latin American) you can find Support Engineers (CCNA Cerified) working 24x7x365 for US$ 1.000/Month.

In Colombia is worst than in Chile. Here salaries for CCNAs begin at US$500 24x7x365

Seems to be like a bad ass copy of the Scrubs everday life. :-) Or like the IT department of Sacred Heart. ROFL!
