  • skip to 3:05 to see Sadler's impact on the bottom right corner of the video. That was the most brutal crash in the modern era of NASCAR. Felt so bad for Sadler during that race. Glad he's still alive. Like the description of the video says, "10 years ago this would have been fatal", very true.

  • @dirtysouth806 3:04 I meant.

  • Looks like the ambulance were in a hurry. Don't mind the guy laying down on the ground though, he is just being dramatic.

  • @MRkyleBusch1 which comment is it the one i said you can see saddler 2:48 or Kurt Busch trying to fix the car the Kurt comment was because he had a fender sticking out the it went in when he hit the 2nd wall the saddler comment when i saw saddler hit the wall from kurts onborad

  • at 2:48 you can kinda see sadler

  • @elwood4888 what do you mean

  • it almost lookedc like kurt was trying to mfix the car the 2nd time he hit the wall lol:P

  • There's no way there wasn't a camera on the back of one of the cars or something. I think there is footage but NASCAR just doesn't want us to see it.

  • This guy is super man he has the biggest crashes I have ever seen

Remember the year he kept rolling his car

  • thumbs up if you turned on snow

  • its been officially recorded as the hardest hit ever. look at the car! and the engine! how is that not a hard hit?!

  • PUSSIES.. THIS WAS NOT A HARD HIT EVEN .. GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE..

  • @tonytonytee 156 g's is a hard hit...

  • @tonytonytee Fuck u Pussy.

  • poor poor elliot.....almost has worst luck than steve park.

  • Can't believe that not even one of espn's camera men thought "oh, perhaps I should stay on the field encase there is a reaction crash behind this".

Hardest crash recorded in NASCAR and we have a tiny little blip. pssh.

  • Its things like this that make me question myself as to if I really want to race.

  • ok 1 this is the hardest crash at pocono

2 this is not the hardest crash in nascar history

    3 the camera man sucks

  • @burjkhalifa98 2.it is the hardest recorded wreck in nascar history

  • that impact was so hard on the drivers body that he must have busted his balls.

  • Owwwwwww

  • i refuse to believe that they didn't even have an on-board camera on sadlers car

  • ... is that his engine?

  • People are such assholes!!!! The camera man can only see so much through the little monitor. He was looking at Kurt the... Ya know what never mind... You ppl are too damn stupid.....

  • Thanks ESPN!!

  • Coast 24 the win

  • I was at right at the gate with my boyfriend and his stepbrother and our friend.. When that crash happened.. It happened right in front of us.. It was pretty scary.. Especially when Elliot got out of his car and fell.. I asked the clean up crew if he was going to be okay.. He said yes he will be fine.

  • I can see NOTHING of Sadler. This is bullshit.

  • Does anybody know when was the last year NASCAR actually used real cars from the dealerships & not make them from steel tubing?

  • Does anybody know when was the last year actually used real cars from the dealerships & not make them from steel tubing?

  • ESPN in the 90's was actually really good when it was ESPN SpeedWorld, but now it sucks, and Fox is the only good channel to watch Nascar, but Nascar sucks now since it really hasen't been good since the 90's.

  • @xX60DemonDrummer09Xx you can thank jack 'the crybaby' roush for this boring racing for crying like a baby when chevy brought back the monte carlo. the last true year for nascar was when terry labonte won his 2nd title after that came the squared off rear bumpers and no more win by the design department.

  • @b101aa2

nascar has recorded this crash at the highest amount of G forces then any other wreck

  • not even close to the hardest crash. seen one just a few years ago go head on into a barricade and bounce off of it airborne and ripped the car apart. makes this look like they just scraped their paint.

  • @b101aa2 - NASCAR posted publicly that this was the highest ever recorded G load on a driver during a crash. They did not post the G number. Also, maybe the crash you are thinking about was prior to the use of black box data so the data was not recorded.

Maybe you are thinking about the Texas qualifying crash by Michael McDowell. That would have had a far lower G load as the car kept moving and shedding parts the entire time.

This car stopped almost instantly from over 100mph.

  • @b101aa2 tell that to elliot sadler

  • @JeffGordonFan2420 Not TNT. TNT is the worst in my opinion, Fox is the only good one unfortunately.

  • What an anti climax!

  • Well ESPN is not as good as it used to be but I still like them even before 2001 season with the late Benny Parsons and Bob Jenkins.

  • why is that armco there? pocono officials are fuckin retards

  • @HollywoodSheen it's gone now bud lol

  • @jrfan07 good. Why the F it took a shunt like this to make the pocono people realize that armco shouldn't be there is beyond me.

  • @HollywoodSheen Not sure, maybe they took the seemingly common approach and waited just a little bit longer, and had the mindset of "well if it happens again we'll fix it", which seems to be the case a lot these days. I was surprised how well they revamped that area of the track though. Safer barriers the whole way and a catchfence on the outside wall. I guess their not going to take any more chances lol!

  • Fox would've had Elliot's hit. I hate, and i quote "HATE" ESPN because they can't ven get could camera views.

  • One way nascar can make things better. put cams on all cars... that way we could have seen this crash from a lot of angles... also Ellitts veiw.

  • And Jimmie Just gave this exact same bump draft to Jeff Gordon when he won this past Sunday on a restart w/ abt 45 laps to go. Difference is is that Jeff Is a 4 time Champ :-)

  • Comment removed

  • If you look closely on kurts bumper you can see Elliot flying through the air.

  • I just bought Eliott's right rear bumper from this crash

  • Let's ask Kurt if he saw it.

  • thats the worst crash in history. fuck nascar

  • I remember when we watched it and my mom was in tears for elliott. And hey we love Elliott and we're glad that he was ok

  • I have amateur video of the crash. I was at the race and was able to record it. I'm not going to upload it to youtube, because I don't want people stealing it. Just message me and I'll send it to you.

  • If this was 1999, his rookie season, he would have died!

  • NO ONE GIVES A SHIT ABOUT KURT BITCH OR HIS BROTHER BAHAHAHAHAHA

  • nascar is shit and so are the weak cars (boxes)

  • Comment removed

  • @saf768 Do you realize how hard Elliott Sadler hit the wall? Nascar's race cars are not weak, and those cars were built to take those types of impacts. If he was involved in that same exact wreck in a different circuit or in Nascar about 10 years ago, he would've been severly injured.

  • @amt3454 race cars more like shit boxs, f1 is a proper racing wtcc and btcc is proper racing nascar is just complete crap

  • @saf768 Oh come on, don't say that "f1 is better than nascar" bullshit. The outer shells of the cars are made of sheet metal, which is intended to be destroyed at impact. That gives the car the "boxy" look. The inside of the car has a strong roll cage that protects the driver. Im getting so fucking sick and tired of you formula 1 or other racing circuit fans go to our nascar videos, and talk a lot of shit. If you don't like nascar, then just get the hell out of the video.

  • @saf768 And also one thing we nascar fans love our motorsport, and we don't give a crap what you people say. So good day.

  • ESPN only cares about Kyle Busch and Danica Patrick

  • I think they should have more stationary cameras on the inside walls around Pocono. That way, they would be able to see the hits, and with the live cameras, it always seems like ESPN zoom in on the main car in the accident and then miss everything else.

  • I remember when ESPN used to be this shit on NASCAR coverage then fox schooled em and they are just shit. As far as Pocono goes, I never have been a fan of the track. The restarts are exciting for a couple laps then its just a snoozer

  • Ill give espn some credit for giving their attention to kurt once he spun, but really? Even the blimp missed it? Espn needs to stick with world series of poker

  • @JeffGordon24Dupont They probably even suck at that. Now I know why ESPN hadn't televised NASCAR events for 6 years. Hands down, Brian France is an idiot for letting ESPN ruin on T.V. what was a great empire started by Bill France.

  • @SteveStifflerRules or basketball

  • JJ sucks at bump drafting. He caused the whole thing.

  • this is why ESPN friggin sucks. how did they miss this wreck? idiotic camera work. they didnt even see it themselves. this is why nascars ratings have plummeted back to where they started.

  • @LukeBCtown Fire that crap camera man I could do better

  • @LukeBCtown

lol if it wasnt for espn nascar wouldnt be where its at today. They were a big...big reason why nascar catapulted in the national spotlight. And blamming espn for nascar's poor ratings? That sounds like something Brian France would say lol

  • @LukeBCtown Hey, stop your crying... get over it!!!

  • @LukeBCtown Id say the reason NASCAR ratings are dowm would be because F1 is so much more exciting because it isnt oval shit

  • @LukeBCtown nascar is still the number one watched sport in america.

  • i heard that Sadler got up on his side but didnt go over, so i guess we have to live with mental images

  • @DsturbedFan728 Someone caught the aftermath of the wreck. you can't really see Sadler's car, but you can see the dirt, the radiator go flying, pieces going everywhere.

  • @firestarsfan yea ive seen that vid. too shakey to actually see Elliott's car. but man that was a scary wreck

  • I remember seeing the one angle of it, espn had the tape, showed it later in that race, AJ Wallinbanger hit Elliott (his at the time teammate). AJ was also the one that took out at the time teammate Kasey in June same straightaway. I know I wouldnt want Wallinbanger as a teeammate. LOL

  • odd that the ambulance was at the guy walking around while there was a driver actually lying on the track just a hundred yards behind them...

  • espn sucks the list would be too long to put here on how many times they screw up so I'll just list the things they are good at:

    NOTHING

  • No camera angles of Sadler's crash. ESPN FAILS AGAIN.

  • First off ESPN you suck at commentating and camera work, just quit. Second shame on Pocono for having that kind of angle anywhere on the track

  • @14tonystewartfan39 and the weird thing is there's no real video evidence of either his Michigan or Pocono flips.

  • Are you fucking kidding me? No angles of Elliot Sadler's crash?

  • @taranchula97 As soon as Kurt wrecked, all camera go to Kurt. We're lucky we had one angle at least

  • i have seen some of the worst nascar crashes at pocono, but this has to be the hardest wreck at pocono, i have been waiting for a long time for someone to either go outside the track (or just come close to it) or someone to hit the inside dirt bank/gardrail head on, and both happend in the same year

  • only espn will not have a view of that AND not even notice that there is another car, without a motor, laying on the track

  • @RowdyBuschRoks Only 2 cars were involved, and only 1 of them was without a motor, the 19 which they addressed.

  • Even the damn helicopter didnt see elliots hit

  • oh my god! OH MY GOSH!!!, Gotta love Andy Petree lol

  • why is the ambulence at kurt and not elliot who obviously had the worst of it

  • @ampenergy327 yeah idk

  • 2 things. MRN radio knew about this as soon as it happen...there is a camera right near the booth that would show it. 2 is dale jr. had a roof camera..it caught eliiots wreck..nascar dont want us seeing it for some reason

  • @nascarkidinny That 2nd part is interesting. I wonder what they didn't with that camera view

  • @nascarkidinny That 2nd part is interesting. I wonder what they did with that clip with Juniors on board camera.

  • Comparing this crash to dale earnhardt's fatal wreck and it goes to show how much that these safety standards have really played a roll. If this wreck woulda happened 10 years ago, we might've watched someone either get killed or seriously injured,

  • There was safety devices in place in 2001, they just wern't mandatory, seeing as Earnhardt died because he didn't wear the safety, if he worn them, he probably would've lived. Who really knows though? Doesn't take away from anything though.

  • i was watchin this live i agree wit erybody how the hell they not have this on cam that shit was crazy glad he ok tho he hit so damn hard man

  • WOW

  • Nice camera work ESPN, you just missed the hardest crash in NASCAR history. It's obvious here that they give too much of a shit about catching all the action. Makes you wonder what the big push in marketing is about.

  • ESPN cameraman = FAIL ... Is there a on board view from Elliott's car ???

  • That's 1 reason going back to the spoiler was a bad idea

  • @Nascar47fan what did the spoiler have to do with this? and seriously...you've got to be the only one that thinks the spoiler is a bad idea

  • @anthonystuart69 SHUT UP

  • You don't even really see the real crash they are talking about. The crash they are showing is a pussy crash. The head on into the 90 degree wall is what we should have seen.

  • that was the gayest crash ever

  • Acenace24 it's not fake I was at this race

  • @Blittleshady10 infact he sad that it wasn't fake -.-

  • FAKE? What the fuck are you talking about, and why would anyone build a 90 degree wall?

  • they have soo many cameras on literally every spot of the track, but they cant find 1 good view of "the hardest crash in history"?

  • Fake.

  • @r503av92h34 troll?

  • @r503av92h34 what tha fuck is wrong withu stupid cockfag?

how can u say that is fake? can u prove it? it's covered with official espn commentary and u can see the poor sadler in pain!

UR ONLY A FREAKING NOOB THAT SHOULD GO TO THE HELL

  • @Albox96 whoa....someone just lost their mind...

  • Ill take Elliots motor if its up for grabs? looks like its out of the car. ill even put it in my own crate. lol

  • 3:05, if the camera man didnt see that, he f**kin suks at his job

  • Not all cars have actual cameras on the roof. They all have the shell that protects the cameras but cameras aren't in all the cars. The reason they all have the camera shells is because of aerodynamics reasons

  • They should have a cameraman that follows one driver exclusively for every driver. Anyone could get in a wreck like this.

  • what a tribute to Dale Sr. without his death in 01 Elliott may have been seriously injured

  • @JPAWV35 dead

  • exactly 29,000 views :) I'm happy that Elliot walked away unharmed

  • Elliott sadler always gets the crap. flip in 03 then 04(?) and now this. someone has bad luck.

  • Elliott Sadler is my favorite driver and I was almost in tears when I watched him get out. I was seriously upset that there were not any better camera shots of Sadlers wreck. It's like all the cameras were focused on Kurt spinning because he is higher up in the pecking order. They should know that something always happens BEHIND the first wreck!!!

  • balaloca.es.tl

    its cool balaloca.es.tl

  • Fuck everyone who produced this whole television broadcast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Too bad it will always be remember as the hardest wreck that nobody got a great glimpse at. If somebody followed him and got it perfect, it will be the greatest ameture shot of all time.

  • @AutoRockinRacing94 that's espn for u..they suck real bad....i mean its bad how much they miss

  • if nascar had the same technology they have today ten years ago. Dale sr would still be here and maybe even racing.

  • @Allenboy0724 Maybe, but I doubt it, because didn't he have a heart attack?

  • @ClanDivinityRS , I didnt know that, my bad.

  • @djhixson88 It was NASCAR the failed not ESPN NASCAR has their own people using the cameras

  • As many cameras as NASCAR has around the track at one time, they have to have another angle of this crash somewhere.

  • pretty crappy footage. its sad that nascars hardest hit wasnt even caught on camera

  • I don't fault ESPN's coverage of the wreck, I was at the race and everyone was focused on the Kurt Bucsh wreck, and Elliot was back in the field.

  • Comment removed

  • how in the sam hell did they miss THAT? not the first time espn has epically failed at camera work.

  • Wow! The hardest crash in Nascar history and they're fucking watching Busch. Good fucking job guys.

  • SON

  • 2 things..... Coverage: FOX would have had it., ESPN just plain sux. As far as the crash itself: Thank God Elliott was ok. Holy crap. Holy C-R-A-P.

  • They should have the crash on the Blimp Camera

  • ive been watching nascar for 16 years and this is EASILY the hardest crash ive ever seen, like elliot said in an interview later, if he could walk away from that, he can walk away from anything

  • @madman725 watch the jeff fuller crash at kentucky or don mctavish at daytona

  • @Aaron11579 I have been watching Nascar only since late 01 early 02 season. I never heard of Don Mctavish but the reason why Jeff Fuller's crash was so terrible the roll cage exploded because it was built badly they said. I am not an expert in Roll Cages or anything but if it was built right I am sure it would never of been as bad as that one was.

  • @Aaron11579 holy shit that jeff fuller crash was insane as well

  • @Aaron11579 fuller didnt hit at 190 and mctavish hit a gate so it looked worse

  • @Aaron11579 Yes this Elliot sadler crash isnt the hardest but its up there D:

  • @Aaron11579 Or Don Williams at Daytona.

  • @Aaron11579 They ran the numbers. It's the hardest hit ever recorded.

  • @madman725 lol I've been watching Nascar for only 3 or 4 years and I have seen crashes like that before 2005 so this a BRUTAL crash I hope they have this car at the richard petty motorsports museum

  • @madman725 i saw an interview with him yesterday. i'm assuming that its from sensors in the car, but this is offically the hardest crash recorded in nascar history. so yes, u actually are correct :) glad he's ok

  • I think Steve grissoms wreck at atlanta was worse

  • @sschevy10 its the hardest hit in nascar history. so i doubt it

  • @madman725 It was pretty bad, but I don't think it was worse than some of the crashes I've seen at tracks such as Daytona, Talledega, etc.

  • @madman725 if god spared me from that i shure wouldnt be saying i can walk away from anything thats just asking for it haha

  • @madman725 and dale earnhardt died from a wimp crash...

  • @madman725 JD McDuffie at Watkins Glen.

  • @madman725 man if you say so then you must have missed Michael Mcdowell at texas 2008.

  • All of the cars have the housing for the in car camera to keep the aerodynamics of the cars the same, but they do not all have cameras. I am disappointed as well that there is no good video of this accident. Nascar and the Pocono Raceway would be able to use it to help improve safety at the track. In defense of the camera operators they were following Kurt who, they "thought," was getting the worst of this accident. Probably no fan video either as it happened on the backstretch.

  • I can't believe out of all the cars on the track and all the cameras filming them not one saw the other car besides that half second lower shot of it

  • he hit so hard he ripped the entire drive train [engine, Transmission, possibly drive shaft somewhere in that mess] out the car, yet he walked away...after several minutes of "what the hell did i just hit" type pain.

  • Kurt is lucky that he didnt start flipping through the grass.

  • @WWENASCARFAN yea i thought he was when the tire went up under the car

  • ESPN CAMERA WORK FAIL! i thought nascar had the most camera's out of any sport? how do they miss sadler!?

  • @everythingmotors yea i thought all the cars had cameras on the roofs

  • @Aaron11579 Don't know if it's still true, but alot of those "camera" modules are just aerodynamic copies of the cameras after they discovered that the roof mounted cameras somehow improved aerodynamic performance.
