    Thanks

  • yours is the NEATEST of all the videos I've seen.

  • no wonder my results look baaad! i did it the inefficient way :P. the video would be better if a sheet with a distinguishable back and front was used

  • WOW!

  • can you fold mine please :)

  • WHOA. MIND BLOWN. fitted sheets can be folded???

  • how did 21 people NOT like this video?!?!

  • I want her to come and live at my house

  • I keep getting the same wad

  • Take it further: First fold the flat sheet in half crosswise, then again lengthwise, then in thirds, so it's in a long strip. Set aside. Fold the fitted sheet as shown in the video, and line it up on top of the flat sheet. Now fold the pillowcases in half lengthwise and stack on top of the sheets. Roll it up, and you have the bedding set all together in one neat package.

I also roll my towels, as it makes it easier to remove one without messing up the ones still on the shelf.

  • Que amorosa la señora, quiero una abuela asi

  • omg..OMG...it's so..simple!!! you god send thank you! lol...i swore up and down you have to be a worker in the production line, robot, or genie to do this! and now i see i am wrong! woot woot wooot! *dances to fold sheets*

  • whoaaaaa

  • Great job & nice video. How wonderful it would be if folding a fitted sheet really were "one of the biggest challenges you're going to face in your life"! It doesn't even make the top 1000 in mine (but at least now my sheets look fantastic!).

  • You are amazing!

  • It works, but it's still confusing. Which side is the "right" side?

  • I'm always receiving this video by email.

You're a popular lady in Brazil.

Thanks for making our lives a lit bit easier.

    Happy Holidays!

  • I must say this "THANK YOU!".

  • I learnt about your video a week or so ago, I commented then too.

I've done this for the first time tonight, and I wanted to say thanks again.

  • When I was a kid, we had fitted TOP sheets. Does anybody else remember this? Did my mother make her own? Why aren't they available now?

  • you make it look so easy!

  • Finally I know how to fold my sheets. GREAT!

  • Ma'am, you have a chamber pot on your mantel. Only a giraffe could use it properly.

  • i wept at its beauty

  • What have I been doing my whole life.... this is insanely great. Thanks alot.

  • Super cool, I will try your method. Mine is a little klutzy. Thanks!

  • brilliant! thankyou!

  • Thank you. It looks to be a lot easier than the way I've been doing it. And it doesn't take much time at all!

  • WOW

  • Ma'am, you're a goddess amongst us mortals. I do mean it, in my childhood household both men and women used help around with the daily doings. I had always been annoyed when folding clothes and sheets. I am absolutely thankful for your video, and I'm sure my mother will too. :)

And also I'd like to know if you've done or will do videos about folding and storing clothes in general, I'm sure you have cool tricks under your sleeve! :D

  • Thank you, Jill. You are wonderful.

  • aaahh thank yououuuuuu

  • I calculated that each year I spent approximately 4 weeks sorting through my linen cupboard for the right fitted sheet. Thanks to you, i'm going on a month long trip to the Bahamas to spend all that wasted time relaxing! You have saved my life!

  • ur awesome.

  • I want to give you a hug from across the Internet. This has solved a pet peeve of mine that has long vexed me.

  • Amazing- it turns out, all my life, I've been doing it right and never knew it! ;)

  • Thanks for this video! I am excited to tidy up my linen closet now - it looks so rumpled at the moment.

  • My solution, up till now, has been to avoid owning more than one set of sheets per bed. When the sheets need laundering, they get washed and then put right back on the bed.

Well done instructional video! I might just develop a sheet fetish now! ;)

  • This is a great video! Unlike many other Howcast videos that are common sense, this one is truly helpful.

  • Thirty years ago I moved to the US from South America and was introduced to the American sheets. I absolutely loved them, but once they got out of the package the problem started. Nonetheless, I am extremely proud to say that I FIGURED IT OUT MYSELF, without any help. This is the way I have been folding sheets for the past THIRTY YEARS!!!

  • Hurray!!

  • bloody genius

  • Awesome

  • I loved it!!

  • wow

  • Thank you. You just saved my life! I've been struggling to do this for years!

  • Why is not my grandmother kind and sweet like this? :´(

  • maravilha

  • This has been a mystery to me all my life. Thank u so much for this!

For KATHY CANUEL: I had a queen size fitted sheet that had elastic all the way around and this technique worked fine! =) I'm not familiar with a crib sheet but I would imagine that it's similar. For me, the key to getting the same neat result with a sheet that's got elastic all the way around, is to continuoulsy shake out the bulges as you're moving through the steps described in the video. It worked great! Good luck!

  • they have tutorials for that =o?

  • Cool!!! I love it!!

  • Brilliant!

  • After 39 years of life, I'm finally learning how to do this!!! Thank You!!!! :)

  • Thanks! You have solved one of the great mysteries of life. I did it for the first time and it works.

  • Thank you! I'll be folding my sheets like that from now on!

  • Thanks so much, i have watched a few different techniques for this, but this one seems the most simple.

  • Thank you!!!

  • THANK YOU!! omg you have no ideaaa, I spent the last 3 hours trying to figure out how to fold this stupid thing, your the only one who explained that you have to tuck it in!! tucking it in is the trick! uh man! I was about to throw my sheets out the window, loll

  • wow! thank you so much! i have always wondered how to fold those darned things. :)

  • i literally watched this and my mouth dropped open. it's THAT easy???? I gotta go try it...

  • like!!!!

  • כל הכבוד כמעט כמו שאני מקפלת אבק לקחתי את הטיפ הזה מוצלח מאוד

  • i have been doing the same for years.. does that make me a genius?? lol

  • Hey, could you move a little faster? I'm not lost enough.

  • This was SOOOO helpful!!! Thanks!!!

  • This makes me love you!

  • wow i already have been doing tht

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOWW!!

    Thank you :D

  • I've always folded my fitted sheets like this--didn't know I was doing anything unusual!

  • Been doing like that for years...(since I was 12!)

  • Easiest to maintain your closet is when you do get your fitted and falt sheet folded, and your pillow cases, Remember for a neater closet, put them all inside o ne of the pillow cases as a pretty package and then see how neat you closet will really be . Never have to look for mis-matched pairs again, and stack better

  • Wow!!...I never knew that.....genius!!

  • thanks so much for this!!!!

  • I have stuggled with this for years. Hallelujah!

  • It can't be that easy! ...And yet the video is only 1:43. I'll have to try that! =] Thanks!

  • 86,000 views, apparently I'm not the only.

  • For years I've had trouble folding these stupid things. I'm glad I came across this. There was an article on the Shine page which had the link. That will make it easier for me in the future!!!

  • Wow, I usually get somewhere between folded and wadded, I never could figure out how to make it nice--so I was actually excited to watch this. Thank you very much for making this video and sharing your expertise! :)

  • Thank you for making this video! I must now go and re-fold my sheets.

  • Just the way my Grandma taught me when I was a little girl :)

  • WOW! Thanks!

This is something that many of us wonder how it's done but just don't bother asking...

  • thats a nice little trick there i never new u could fold those kind of sheets that nice mine always look like the one on the left thank you for your videos

  • Jolly good! One of the greatest mysteries in life has been solved! Now if you can tell us how to locate the missing sock after laundering, life will be better for all of us!

    thanks!!!!!!!!!

  • That is so simple, I feel really stupid for having so much trouble with this! Thanks for the video!

  • O_o Thank you. This is one of the most frustrating things I've ever attempted to do in my life.

I was just folding clothes, and I very, very poorly folded a fitted sheet and put it away, thinking to myself, "I KNOW there's a proper way to do this..." So I looked it up online like I do everything else. And yay, I found this. :D

    Awesome.

  • I am really short and my husband and I have a king bed. It is very difficult for me to fold the sheets. I don't always have a table nearby to use. That is when I give up and just do the fold and roll with the fitted sheet.

  • BRAVO! One of my life's biggest questions answered right here! I LOVE YOU!

  • Thank you!!! I can't wait to show my wife that I folded the darn thing right. Until now selling real estate in San Antonio was easier than fitted sheet folding.

  • wow, thank you so much, it really helped!

  • Wow, at first I thought this was going to be a joke but quite sincerely this was an incredibly informative video.

  • This lady is honestly my hero. Thankyou!

  • I'm a guy with a queen size bed. My sheets are fitted and I always wrestle with them after laundering them. I knew there had to be a way. After a few attempts with your video, I finally got it. Thanks!!!

  • i LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!! thanks :D YES!!!!!

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

  • wow! I love you too!!

  • Wow! This worked like a charm. Thank you.

  • thanks heaps, i always try but end up stuffing it at the back of the linen cupboard. deffinately gunna give it a go this arvo :)

  • Now, if only I had a table to smooth out the sheet.

  • GENIUS!!

  • lol

  • This is the most helpful video I have ever watched on youtube. lol. Seriously.

  • Wow! Thanks! Now I know.

  • Jill's hot... just sayin...

  • Thankyou!!^^!!!!I kind of forgot how to fold the bottom shee tand it was really irratating me.lolxDDDDI M so greatufull.Thankyou!!!<3Please no delete.lolxD

  • My mother taught me to fold sheets that way when I was a kid (I'm 58) and helping with laundry was one of my household chores. Since it wasn't likely I would go to college, learning how to run a household was mandatory. I just realized I never taught my daughter how to fold a fitted sheeet!

  • Completely awesome! Besides saving space, folding this way seems so much faster than anything I tried before, which never had such crisp results. Thanks

  • Jill Cooper, you rock.

  • YES!! I FINALY GET IT ! Been tring to figure out other peoples directions for so long Thank u.

    xo

  • Phew, my life is now complete. I was thinking of seeking counselling due to my complete inability to fold a fitted sheet.

Now can anyone tell me how to stuff a mushroom?

  • This is genius!!!

  • By far the best howto for this on YouTube. Thank you!

  • Helped me sooo much, thanks!!

  • Helped me a gread deal!!!

  • Hot Damn! Works great, even with a sheet with an elastic all around!!!

  • Thank you. This videa is so helpful.

You made it easy to learn. :)

  • I kind of did it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Absolutely this helped! I had no clue and neither did anybody else! Thank you! We live in a small house!

  • Magic.... Pure Magic.

  • This has always baffled me! My mom didn't even know how to do it! Thank you, thank you, thank you sooooo much!

  • Thank you :)

  • I love you! You're AMAZING! I'm going to the closet RIGHT NOW and am going to FOLD all our messy sheets. THANK-YOU! Many blessings be on your lovely head!

  • Awesome video for adult sized sheets--but how in the world do you fold a fitted crib sheet? There's elastic all around the open edges of the sheet and it seems like an impossible task to fold it neatly!

  • Not only are they now putting elastic all around crib sheets but also regular sheets, too. Just do everything the same way. You may have to take a moment or two longer to find the corners. Usually I try to look for the seams on the corners and go from there, following the steps as I showed them.

Don't get discouraged because, at first, you will feel like you are doing nothing but wrestling with the thing, especially one with elastic all around, but it really does get easier and easier.

    Jill

  • @mkellam2 I decided not to buy sheets with elastic all around, and I prefer fitted sheets that have minimal elastics.

I hope some day manufacturers will realize that elastic at minimum is the way to go.

  • @KathyCanuel Well, my parent's solution was to have me sleep smack-dab in the middle, until I could handle my own bed (which has been as long as I can remember).

  • @KathyCanuel I demonstrate how to fold a fitted crib sheet in my video here: youtube.com/watch?v=xRTtpI-1zOw. It just takes a little bit of practice and patience. Good luck!

  • @KathyCanuel lol I wad it up (but I try to fold it first)

  • oh! thanks! what a very helpful method.i subscribe to you and love your newsletters.thanks again.

  • Well, not as dumb as I thought I was. That is how I fold them too! :) Thought maybe I was gonna learn a faster, newer, easier way.
