Great speech. Very true. I don't blame "my problems" on anyone because I don't claim to have any, but I'll point out who the fuck-ups are, because they make things seem pointless sometimes. I just got rejected from my dream school. I started to act very depressed at first, but then I remembered this speech. Now, I'm going to spend my weekend typing up essays to apply to other schools, and then I'm going to work my ass off to try to get into that one school again next year. I know that I'm worthy enough to go to it, and I'm not going to let that rejection hold me down and prevent me from obtaining my goals. Thanks for the inspiration Rocky. :)

Yeah I had an ex who left me and told me I'm not going anywhere in life as well, despite me having a job and all and I was in college. I was 19 at the time, now I'm 24 years old with a Masters in Astrophysics, and I'm currently working as a Research Scientist for the Department of Defense at the Naval Research Facility, Plasma Physics Division and I'm working on receiving my Doctorate of Science. But I didn't do it for revenge, I did it for me. She tried to come back to me, but I said no.
All my life I've been facing all odds head on and watching Rocky give the speech to his son brings a tear to my eye. We all have to over come obstacles and life's challenges to get where we wanna be. Speaking first hand people are going to criticize, no matter what if you do or if you do bad. Just always be yourself no matter what! that's how I took this message.

I just got rejected from my dream school. I started to act very depressed at first, but then I remembered this speech. Now, I'm going to spend my weekend typing up essays to apply to other schools, and then I'm going to work my ass off to try to get into that one school again next year. I know that I'm worthy enough to go to it, and I'm not going to let that rejection hold me down and prevent me from obtaining my goals. Thanks for the inspiration Rocky. :)

@BleedPhilly08 @Samonuh I got waitlisted the whole summer waiting with hope... to finally get declined after so many efforts... it killed me but I need to get back up and prove them wrong... its still so hard to accept... "it aint about how hard you hit, its how hard you can take and keep moving forward, if you know what you are worth go and get it " :'( I know what Im worth but its so hard to get back up

This clip reminds me of me and my old man. The ignorant kid that things he s got it all figured out and just when he feels like hes won, his old man knocks him off his high hours and tells him how it really goes down. I owe everything to that old fuck. Yeah I had an ex who left me and told me I'm not going anywhere in life as well, despite me having a job and all and I was in college. I was 19 at the time, now I'm 24 years old with a Masters in Astrophysics, and I'm currently working as a Research Scientist for the Department of Defense at the Naval Research Facility, Plasma Physics Division and I'm working on receiving my Doctorate of Science. But I didn't do it for revenge, I did it for me. She tried to come back to me, but I said no.

All my life I've been facing all odds head on and watching Rocky give the speech to his son brings a tear to my eye. We all have to over come obstacles and life's challenges to get where we wanna be. Speaking first hand people are going to criticize, no matter what if you do or if you do bad. Just always be yourself no matter what! that's how I took this message.

So tonight, I was cut from my basketball team, i've been playing all my life (i am 17).
Watching this video made me realize something. Getting cut from the team, will only make me stronger, and not to care whatever the hell anyone fucking says to me about not making the team. Fuck them, and fuck everyone who doubts me. I am going to be great, and I don't need any fucking one to tell me that I can't, or that I am some fucking loser.

Let me tell you what life really has in store for you unless of course you have wealthy parents...you are going to work a crappy job for less than you deserve and marry a woman who eventually you will grow to despise. Im 20 now and i still have a chip on my shoulder from when i used to play...the feeling has not gone away and i dont think it ever will. its the same chip that MJ played with till he could no more, so play on dude...good luck
