  • You know that we have different opinions about Christmas and Christianity in general but what I really enjoy is that we can all chat openly here and rarely get crapped upon ... for myself this is really a sign of maturity ! So glad to hear that your back issues seem to be going in the right direction. Glad to have you back Andy !

  • Now if only I can get the camera to focus on me instead of the steering wheel LOL What I really appreciate is that we can have such diverging views and still be friends. I say value diversity!

  • Do you ever tell customers about your vlogs?

  • I tell customers about these vlogs sometimes if our conversation strays to the topic of YouTube, but I don't necessarily make a point of doing so...

  • I am not a believer myself but some of my family are, so we celebrate Christmas, i think like you the story has changed many times to suits the people of the day, and the truth got lost somewhere in beween!

So relived for you that business has picked up, esp when you had to dig into rent money.

  • I believe things will all be just fine... My mother and sister still celebrate Christmas, but they are 3000 miles away and I call them at least once a week, so we do keep in touch.

It will all be over soon enough!

  • So good to see you back and making taxi vlogs. I hope the next week or so is very prosperous for you. Hug Cindy for me.

  • I hugged and kissed Cindy goodbye last night as she's gone home to Alberta to celebrate with her sisters and brother... I'm at home alone and now I can concentrate on work.

  • Before I got married I never celebrated the holidays.

Now, I go to her parents but it's more just to keep the peace.

  • @frozencanuckreviews I figure this is family time when you let relatives know that you do think of them every now and then. So even if they say "we don't want you to get us anything", it's still nice to let them know that they're thought of. Even the parents and in-laws.

  • @MonicaTheMad Oh my inlaws expect us to get them something.

But they also expect things to be done to suit them and nobody else matters.

  • @frozencanuckreviews Oh wow, that sounds so familiar! Unspoken yet heard…

  • I would go and visit Cindy's family but they paid for her plane ticket and not mine, and besides I need to come up with the rent or we get evicted, and I'm allergic to all the dogs her family has...

  • I hate travelling like that, so short that you worry all the way. We did that and I didn't like it. I know that means I don't get to see anything and I don't like that either. Gotta find a happy medium, but I haven't yet.

  • @MonicaTheMad Play the lottery, that's all I've come up with! :D

  • @MonicaTheMad The lottery is my retirement plan.

  • @frozencanuckreviews If I live to retirement I probably won't need much because I probably won't live long...

  • @fehquig Exactly how I feel.

  • @MonicaTheMad I would not waste what little money that I have on losing at the lottery. The odds are so much against you that if you never play you will be ahead of someone who plays for a lifetime and even wins small a couple of times...

  • @fehquig I always think about that big possible win and it gives me hope. That's the only hope I have. Otherwise I know I will never have any money to do anything I want because there's only me making any decent money and that should go towards either the house or retirement.

  • My happy medium is traveling to all kinds of places, but on my own schedule and at my own pace... I don't enjoy airports or planes or cruise ships, but I like road trips because I get to choose where I go and when. Cindy prefers to fly to one place and stay there except if it's to my mother's house :)

  • @fehquig I hate all public transportation, but love the road trips in my own car. I think the secret is you can't be in a hurry to get where you are going and just enjoy the trip and consider it all part of the fun.

  • @frozencanuckreviews Even in my own car there are times when I have to put a move on, but it's on my own terms. Cindy and I have a mattress in the back of her minivan, and that way we can take turns driving and sleeping... We can cover a good 1600 km in a 24-hour day without pushing too hard :)

  • I dont expect to do much business till New Years Eve.

It sucks that you had to scrape up the trip home but at least you had one heck of a vacation:-)

I share a lot of your views on the Bible, it was written by hand for 1500 years before movable type. Im sure it was changed to suit the writer many times.

    Walmart BAD!

    Later:-)

Just getting over the solstice "hump" is a relief to me too, cant wait!

I could use a good stretching, my back has been killing me lately.

  • @1DRock37167 I should do my stretches and exercises but I have been lazy and watching videos in bed... The days will get longer now... I promise!
