  • How did you know that it was immune based autism? How did you find this out? Thanks a lot

  • how old is she now?

  • @musicbox193 Jade is now 7.

  • How is she now? Any updates? Have you tried Chelation Therapy?

  • @promiseIsaih60 Jade is now 7. No chelation, but Jade does receive IVIG each month to treat CVID- common variable immunodeficiency. Jade's autism is immune based. We started early at 2 1/2 using Low Dose Naltrexone to modulate her immune system, and a 5 the CVID was diagnosed and she began receiving the IVIG at our local children's hospital. She is doing pretty well now, I'd say she's moderate. Treating her immune system was the key that has unlocked her potential.

  • Jade mom.... PLEASE email me. I would love to have another mom to talk to about young girls on the spectrum. She seems very much like my daughter was at her age.

  • im autistic. ps this vid was posted on my birthday :)

  • watching the fan too is a sign, autistic persons like to watch things that spin.

  • My little dude doesn't respond to his name either, and for a very long time he didn't make eye contact either. I used to jokingly refer to him as my autistic baby. Ha ha only with a little worry in there. He's 26 months old now and is much more interactive than he was before, very verbal and knows his name and uses it to refer to himself, but still doesn't even turn his head when I call.

  • You may be predisposition to it, and when you get immunizations, they may trigger to autism.

  • I don't think it is cause by shots. Note: THIS IS MY BELIEVE, DO NOT RIDICULE PLEASE! I think it is genetic. I have Asp. Syn., my dad has it, and my grandma has it. Plus there are a couple kids, like mine, that had it obviously since birth. I have also seen parents through my work that were just like their asp. syn. kids. It also explains why it happens more in boys since they only need one X rather than 2. AGAIN! This is my beleif and is based off of true things.

  • AS is most definitely genetic! However, kids born with Asperger's don't just regress into severe autism without a cause.

Many of the 200 immunodeficiencies are X linked, are contraindicated conditions to live virus vaccines, and have been genetically linked to autism.

  • I don't think AS is caused by vaccines at all. "Classic" "full syndrome" or "profound" autism can have a number of causes, including an aggressive immune response to vaccines, and viruses- which raise cytokine counts, causing inflammation.

For Jade, it was the excessive immune response she had to the live virus vaccines, and the excessive immune response to everyday illnesses, resulting in neuroinflammation.

That's the belief of her doctors, and many others who have published on PUBMED.

  • @aware4autism: Which vaccines are live viruses?

  • @aware4autism looks like he is haveing a stare out inother words a shutdown i get those to if there is a lot of noise types i am an aspie.jeff

  • you still have it.

  • hi, i've seen all jaden's videos, and i have to say that yout girl is incredibly BEAUTIFUL!!!! she looks like a doll!! congratulations!!!

by other way, iv'e noticed that in all (or in most of) your videos you were thinking a lot of reasons for the jade's behavor, but never thougth in autism...

so, when or why do you start to think that something was "wrong" with your daugther?

  • I just want to update to let you know my son seems ok. He still doesn't answer much to his name but seems otherwise fine. No more shots for him, though!

  • I don't blame you. You can always vaccinate at an older age, after the brain has developed, or if an outbreak emerges, however, you can never "unvaccinate", nor completely reverse much of the neurological damage vaccines can do to certain children.

Good to know your lil guy is doing good. :)

  • My youngest boy is doing absolutely everything your little girl is. He is being assessed tommorow with "Spectrum" and from then on for a diagnosis. From the stacking blocks to not responding to his name..flapping of the hands...grinding the teeth...(he has stopped grinding his teeth tho)..I was shocked at the simularities. He gets upset when the blocks fall also...

  • how is jade doing now is she doing better?????what r u working on now with her??

  • hi !! i have some question for you if its possible ..

my baby is 11 months old and he has an amazing attention spam when watching tv or looking at the flashcards i show him everyday,

  • I'm worried about my son. He doesn't seem to respond to his name anymore. I can be holding him, yelling it, or practically in his face but it makes no difference. We always thought he was just very independant and a little 'tuned out' but otherwise normal, but the other day his doctor said he should be more responsive at this age. I'm just so worried, don't know what to do.

  • Listen I myself am autistic though I have Aspergers, not vaccinating you kids is not a very smart idea at all, I got vaccinated as a baby and didnt get autism. I had autism since birth, the vaccines didnt cause anything autistic related. Vaccines are here to help your children not harm them. So get your facts straight before preaching like you know everying about Autism

  • As a mom with 3 kids it can be terrifying to go to the doctors office to get your child vaccinated only to hope nothing will happen to them. There ARE kids that are vaccine injured, and the stories that I have heard from parents saying that their child was fine prior to the shots scares me to death. I do not walk this path ignorantly, after my son got his 4m shot he began arching his back which was something my doctor told me could happen.I know vaccines are here to help, but they're not perfect.

  • Remove all white sugar and starch from his diet. It will help his immune system fight internal/external attacks and aid internal removals of toxins.

  • A glutten free diet may work for some autistics may not work for all. Some autistics have great results when removing glutten and starch from their diet, others dont benefit. The point im making is some things work better for some children and the same thing might not work as well with another child

  • Oh you are such an ass hunny im BLACK and my daughter is autistic! It doesnt even run in our family but she is !

  • Shes so cute!

  • disabilities are colorblind

  • Your daughter is so adorable. But was she not responding to her name at other times too? Because in this video, it looks like maybe she was feeling drained by the heat. Staring is one of the symptoms of heat exhaustion.

  • Thank you. She stopped responding to her name ALL the time back then when she had regressed. This was about week 2 of her regression, and I had thought similar things (the heat, tired, etc) at the time. We could be in her face calling her name, and she would not focus her eyes on us.

She is doing MUCH better now :)

  • aw crikey, the ceiling fans, yep. We walked our 3.3 yr old to the restaurant to see if he could handle it. He shocked us...he was so quiet and calm as he sat in his chair and ate bites of food. Then, we looked up to see what he was staring at.........the ceiling fan. Hey, the upside is, he was the best behaved kid in that restaurant!

  • My son is 26 months old and still not responding to his name. He was diagnosed a couple of weeks ago. It is the most difficult and heart-breaking experience when you can not communicate with your child. He is in early intervention. Good luck with your beautiful little girl. And please don't get discouraged by some of the people on youtube; there are a few that have NO idea what they are talking about!

  • hi fds3...well my son was officialy diagnosed with aspergers. i saw that movie, mozart and the whale :) oh and trust me...i've read every thing out there. thanks for offering to research it for me!

  • my sister is autistic

  • my sister is autistic

  • I still do that sometimes. It requires a lot of focus to do things, whether they are making a phone call, reading a map, etc. Especially a special interest. When at a restaurant, my parents have to say my name a lot before I notice and take attention away from the ceiling fans! When I was 13, you should've seen the focus on my face when we were getting one installed in our current residence!

  • She's being shy alot of baby's do that!!!

  • yes alot of babies are shy. But if you watch the other videos, you will see other signs of autism. See, any one sign of autism is not indicitive of autism alone. A child must display multiple signs to be considered autistic.

  • Has ECI (early childhood intervention) ever cam to you home and worked with you and Jade? They did when my son was little and it helped him. He is now 8years old.

  • Yes, she had them come in for a yr and a half. It worked, but only after we started treating her immunodeficiency. Until then, all she did was cry when they came over.

She is 4 now, and doing much better, I have other videos of her (more recent) on JadeDays.

How is your son doing now?

  • I'm glad Jade is doing better. Since she is 4 is she enrolled in PPCD Program (preschool programs for children with disablities)? My son was in it and he flourished. He became real verbal. Now he is in 3rd grade and can barely read or write. I am working with him on it. Will Jade be going to kindergarten or will you homeschool? Let me know. I will check out the other videos you recommended.

  • Jade has attended an autistic pre-k program through our county schools since she was 2 1/2. She has done really well there, and may be in an inclusion class by next year (kindergarten).

Jade is pretty verbal, even if much of it is still echolalia. She can express what she likes, and what she needs. We are working on feelings, and that is hard!

Jade is pretty lucky, when she started talking (at 2), we realized that she knew how to read- she is so amazing! I love witnessing her genius!

  • Aww shes so cute! My son doesn't respond to his name a lot, which is very frustrating when we are going for a walk. I struggle a lot with him but we're slowly getting there.

  • When there is a show about tornados or the solar system, we've lost Ethan for awhile. There is NOTHING that can get his attention during these times....

  • Join my autism website! freetoforum dot com

  • kalimadasa, Sharlet has the same thing with the fans :) When she has assessments we need to make sure there are no fans around or she fails everything lol

  • aww she's beautiful. how old is she now?

  • Thank you! Jade is turning 4 on Monday, Dec 3rd. She is doing amazing now, btw. :)

  • i'm glad :) my son is on the waiting list for the center for autisms spectrum disorders at children's hospital. his current diagnosis is nonverbal learning disability (but they think he may have aspergers)/developmental coordination disorder/and combined type adhd.

  • Yes, I noticed it at the time it was happening when my daughter was little. But now when I watch videos of her at the time it's all me going "Catherine, Catherine, Catherine...!" and her not looking at me, and me putting the camera in all kinds of crazy positions to try and get her face! :-)

  • i can how jade is dianosed with autism.

  • its the fans. my nephew is autistic, if there is a fan on its game over insofar as acknowledging anything exists other than the fan. thanks for your video

  • My son doesn't respond to his name either. I don't know what to think. How do you deal with everything?

    Any advice would be good!

  • Get your child assessed! Get hearing checked too. I have 2 Autistic boys. I was told neither would ever speak, say they love me etc. I was told to put the eldest in an institution. I worked very, very hard with them & they had intervention. They both attend mainstream school, can speak well. Aged 8 & 10 now.

  • I had 4 very hard, very heartbreaking years. But it is all worth it when they climb on my lap, look in my eyes, say I love you Mum and give me a huge hug. My eldest got second prize in a speech contest last year too! They have worked so hard & I am so proud of them.
