  • @MsAnnieluna Thanks so much!

  • your channel is the bizness LOL i love it sooo much

  • Ha Ha I was talking to my wife on the phone while I watched this and she accused me of watching porn because of the music. Looks really good. I like the crust idea instead of just putting nilla wafers on the bottom

  • @fall22123 LOL OMG, yeah you're going to need to make it for her so you can stay out of trouble and she'll know you were watching a cooking video... 4 real! Anyway, glad you liked it and thanks for watching :)

  • Girl!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to try this!!!

  • Yes and instead of mixing the cream cheese & condensed milk together in a seperate bowl i just mixed each of them one by one into the pudding! Less dishes and it still came out the same! I just love this Banana Pudding! Im takin this recipe to my grave LOL

  • @bignicks124 Well alrighty lol :)

  • Carolyn i got this recipe from you last year and this is the best banana puddin I EVER HAD! Thank you so much and EVERYBODY loves it I mean EVERYBODY LOL #happyholidays

  • @bignicks124 Glad to hear it Hun and I'm glad you all enjoyed it. I know you got alot of hugs and kisses lol. Have a great one :)

  • yum, love your hair!

  • YAY Carolyn!!!! I have been looking for the chessman cookie alternative recipe and didn't know how to make this one. I'm planning on a banana pudding for Christmas, I hope I can pull this new recipe off! It looks absolutely scrumptious. Can I also place cookies in between layers?? And did you give exact ingredients & measurements here?? smooches sis. looks grrreat

  • @HearNSee1 You can layer extra cookies if you want. The link to the recipe is in the description box. Thanks Hun:D

  • @CookingWithCarolyn OMG Carolyn...Girlll, I made this Banana Pudding last night for Christmas dinner as planned. Be4 I could even get it completed, my greedy brother & son who is home from school for the holidays & 2 of his friends were ready to tear into this delish dish. I went ahead & let 'em sample since I had so many other desserts. They nearly killed it girl..LOL...anyway,I made another pan because it was just that good. I know erryone will enjoy it 2day.Thanx so much!

  • Carolyn....once again you made my family happy with your wonderful recipes. I'm going to start taking pictures and sending them to you! I would like to know if you have a recipe for the long southern old school version? I would like to try that one. My mother used to make that one at Christmas time. I can't find her recipe and she passed away : ( Do share if you do. Have a blessed day!

  • @MsKimlo At this time I don't have a recipe for a southern version but maybe that can be added to my list. But I'm glad you and your family enjoyed it :)

  • how many servings?

  • @tattson1 About 12 to 15. Depending on who over scoops their own portions lol

  • @CookingWithCarolyn --THANK YOU SO MUCH, for getting back to me ASAP...making this tomorrow for the in-laws ;)

  • you should have your own show on food network. I love your recipes like I've told you before. Great!

  • O.O wow, this is actually the prettiest banana pudding i've seen on youtube. The rest look kinda sloppy >.<! Im making this for thanks giving :D

  • never made banana pudding b4 but yours looked like it would be a hit with my husband .he thought i did a great job on it he says now he can trust me making it but only one thing went wrong the crust it was to hard i don't know what i did wrong .but i still got brownie points with the husband

  • @missbabyphat1974 That's great! Cook the crust for the exact time. Sometimes the dish we use retains more heat and it will continue to cook the crust even when we remove it from the oven. But I'm glad you both enjoyed it :)

  • Just made this today, it was da bomb!

  • @Godschild459 I'm so glad you liked it :D

  • sis that looks like some good banana pudding.

  • @money1234354 Thanks, my family and friends love it. Sometimes they won't let me in the house without it lol

  • Great recipe sister! I will however replace the white sugar with raw sugar. Gotta use the Nopal for sure on this one!!...lol Keep up the great work my sister. Your videos are clear and your instructions are very easy to follow. Can't say that for a lot of other videos on the tube. Good job!

  • @greatman2012 Thanks and enjoy :)

  • ure a pro u shud have ure own show!

  • Hello! I just needed to know, are "heavy cream" and "heavy whipping cream" the same thing?

  • @AlcinoustheXIIth "Heavy Cream" usually has a higher fat content while "whipping cream" is a little lighter and little less fat. You can use heavy cream in any recipe that calls for whipping cream. Either will make great whipped cream and both will turn into fresh butter with lots and lots of beating.

  • Hm. That's good to know. Thank you!

  • You have an AMAZING Channel, and an awesome humor, Is there any good recipes for Bread pudding that you might know? Me and my friend are dying to try one this week, thx for the awesome vids!

  • @DarkTundraS Thanks Hun for watching :) I'll put bread puddin on my list for my time in the test kitchen!

  • I made this yesturday for my boo for Valentines day.. He is in love with banana pudding and he was surprised with the crust b/c I never made it like that before!!! You are my savior! Love ya Carolyn

  • @almondbrown09 Thanks sweetie!

  • I bought me a big bottle of GD and I can't wait to make some of your dishes. Those handburgers for the gents was like.... whoah!!! And they got their mouths around them like .... Whut? LOL. But when the brother mentioned the banana pudding to set it off... I went to the GD site because now he was like Michael Jackson "Wanna Be Starting Something, Gotta be starting something". LOL

  • @cynapple42 Thanks so much and I just know you're going to find alot of uses for Grand Diamond in your cooking. I am hollering laughing because of what you said about my friends LMBO. Yes they are definitely like MJ :D

  • hi Carolyn! You look like a Brooklynite i know. I make this recipe too, but i like your spin with the chessman cookies. My spin on it is to use half french vanilla and half cheesecake flavored instant pudding. It gives it a flavor that is out of this world. I also put some of the crumbs on top of the pudding. I can't wait to try it with the shortbread cookies! Good Job!

  • @cynapple42 Thanks so much, I like the sound of your recipe too. That sounds slammin'!

  • Wow that's the best banana pie I've seen made. Well done! Looks so good

  • You are so beautiful and graceful in the kitchen Carolyn. I enjoyed a few videos of yours tonite, before becoming a subbie :) I hope to bring some of your recipes onto my table very soon.....THANKS!

  • What a great and interesting video! I love your recipes and videos you seem very good at it! And I love how you explain things your not boring like some other people are!! Thanks

  • @nimarocks1 Thank you so much and thanks for watching!

  • if i use just regular pudding mix, do i just prepare it on stove according to directions and let it set up and continue with the recipe??

  • @srainy I've never used regular pudding for this recipe B4. However, you would need it to be very thick (probably thicker than normal, maybe use less milk) just like the instant pudding uses less milk than the required amount on the box. Go ahead and try it...why not! It's just dessert any way it probably won't be too bad lol. Let me know how it turns out.

  • SO yummy. Were you classically trained in cooking? You seem to be very experienced.

  • @RockMySox32 No, I never went to "cooking" school. I just love to cook and come up with recipes that have twists and that are simple, or at least easy enough to make someone new to cooking WANT to cook lol. I've been in the kitchen since I was 12 because my mom didn't care for cooking. She did once in a while but she definitely didn't love it :D Thanks for watching and supporting my videos!

  • I made this today and It was sooo good.. This recipe is definitely a keeper.. It's going in my recipe book... Thanks Carolyn.

  • girl i am so glad i found you. i love your recipes. and this recipe is like paula deens but sooooo much better. ive got to tell my friend about this. thanks!

  • @ytviewer88 Thanks so much!! Yes I love me some Paula, of course, but I had to do my banana puddin' my way lol. Glad you liked the recipe and I'm glad you found me too :D

  • i LOVE your hair in this!!!!

  • I love banana pudding. You did a little different. Thanks I needed a new way to fix it.Happy Holidays to you.

  • @MsKoKoATL Hi Sweetie, sorry I missed your comment and questions. But I'm glad you made such a wonderful dinner. You know, I guess you could separate some of the whipped cream for a topping. It's never too much if that what's you like...bring it on! There's more holiday recipes coming :)

  • girl u should mail me some of that

  • I've tried this recipe - Got it from Paula Dean - It's awesome . . . You have a great revision with the crumb crust . . but I'm too lazy to make my own whipped cream . . I use Cool Whip . . . Everyone LOVES LOVES LOVES it!

    Great video!

  • @MrsMcNeil00 Yes indeedy, I love that recipe too :) I just had to find a way to make my own. See you got the picture too, you use cool whip...you go girl puttin' in your own touches and getting those rave reviews LOL. Have a great holiday season!

  • @MsKoKoATL LOL Nope, not yet and need to rush. You're right I do get plenty of offers once they find out I can cook. I usually keep it a secret when the dating first starts lol.

  • This looks great Carolyn. I am definitely going to try this over the holidays. I am the non-cooker in the family and always bring a store bought dessert, so I'm going to surprise a lot of people this year :-)

  • @raaven36 Thank you so very much :)

  • Love, the new twist on the recipe, and you can prepare ahead of time (love it).

    Thanks for the vid !

  • Yeeessssss!!! I LOVE banana pudding!!! I've never been so excited to see a 14 minute video lol. It's cool to see how different you make it; I'm only used to my grandmother's recipe. I'd have her make it for me without bananas lolol! I like the taste of bananas without the actual banana; if that makes sense. Never seen it with a crust; interesting! "Chyle thas a lot of beating" bahahaha!! I love you. Ahh that looks so greeeeat!! You rock, Carolyn!!

  • @Shyloh8 Thanks sweetie, yeah I can't stand baking It's the equivilant to asking me to clean out the garage LOL! If I have to bake anything past a cookie I get the shakes and my eyes roll back into my head :) I had to make this recipe as easy as possible.

  • @Shyloh8 I am cracking up reading your post. I love banana pudding, but don't like the bananas. I usually cut them very thin and on the LENGTH of the banana. I add a hint of lemon juice to the bananas to keep them from turning brown, too. But really, truly.... i could do without the bananas. LOVE banana pudding... love bananas... but don't like bananas in my banana pudding. LOLOLOL!!

  • I want some banana pudding sooooooooo bad now!

  • Im requested every holiday to make the banana pudding. The crust will be incorporated this year into my pudding and i may even do the homemade whipped cream also. I would have never thought of that. This is a great way to give it a more homemade touch! Thanks for this!

  • I love banana pudding.

  • Thank you for this series Carolyn. I am going to try this banana pudding....looks good.

  • I just love all your cooking vids and your kitchen is beautiful...love the countertops!

  • YUM! I always have a problem eating too many vanilla wafers when making banana pudding :)

  • @iloveflavor I know what you mean lol

  • i'm really feelin your show. keep doin what you do.

  • @jazmissionary Thanks so much :)

  • I can't wait for her Christmas cooking!

  • Thank you for this holiday series! It definitely helps a non-cooking person, like myself, more motivated to make a valid attempt at cooking. I am going to try this banana pudding, and the sweet potato bites that you did in the previous video. Wish me luck* I'm sure I will have my laptop in the kitchen for this :) By the way, I LOVE your kitchen and granite countertops. With a kitchen like that, I wouldn't mind cooking everyday! Thanks again and happy holidays ***

  • @NikkiiDior Thanks so much, I try to keep the desserts simple because I can't stand baking lol. Anything past a cookie and I get the shakes...
