@mathi199 I normally take two types of footage -- one with the DSLR and the secondary (behind the scenes taken with point and shoot camera). I then combine the two for an interesting story.
It's only waste of space if you need that space for something -- I really don't, I try to travel light these days.
Having the hood of the 70-200 mounted in place saves time -- if I have to pull the camera out for a shoot I don't want to fiddle with mounting the hood on, it's already on. I don't use the lens cap either.
@ttljournal I found that if you keep hood mounted, you really save time. I have it always mounted in my 120-400mm. I can start taking photos much quicker than past
