always been a fan of both cars, but I'd take the Z06. It's a hell of a lot lighter (3100 lbs as opposed to the Supra's 3500 lbs), lower, and 10X sexier (hell, based on looks alone, I'd automatically pick the Z06).

The LS6 was strengthened (stiffer Valves, strengthened cam, etc.) over the LS1 to yield more power.
2jz to ls1 is tit for tat, but
LS6 > 2jz
A 5.7L V8 (that made at least 405 Hp stock then was modded) will always be stronger and
make more TORQUE than an overrated 3.0L I6 (that made only 300+ HP stock then was modded).
ONCE AGAIN, FOR YOU RICE BOYS, NO REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT.

the Vette will always make more power and torque, esp the LS6.
force induce 2 motors, a 5.7 GM (single turbo) and a 3.0 Toyota (single turbos).
both only take 600 HP stock Internals anyway, maybe 1000 on the block.
but parts will be WAY cheaper for the v8, will make more HP and Torque
PER DOLLAR & need LESS mods.
Thats why I bought My Z06 over a shit Supra.
Theres a reason why there are more V8s on the dragstrip.

That's why I was disappointed to see the zr1 and ACR be beaten by the 2012 GT-R around the nurburgring. And top fuel dragsters aren't even close to street legal? they produce up to 8000hp and go 0-100 in less than 1sec. how is that even relevant? nice job on behalf of the Supra.
always been a fan of both cars, but I'd take the Z06. It's a hell of a lot lighter (3100 lbs as opposed to the Supra's 3500 lbs), lower, and 10X sexier (hell, based on looks alone, I'd automatically pick the Z06).
Vette also turns better and brakes better.

yeah stock supras run like 13.4 . c5 z06 runs like 12.7, and i think the video said the supra did 12.7 with the basic mods? so obviously the driver fails in the vette. and then lets add some huge boost twin turbos and see that vette do low 11s high 10s

The Mk IV Supra is slowly establishing itself as a collector car which is why their values are not only holding steady but climbing in the cases of rare 1997 and 1998 colors.
Royal Sapphire Pearl (only made in 97 and 98) is the most desirable color for a Supra. In the 6 speed TT form only 31 were made.
A stock one listed on Yahoo Autos about a year ago, with 60,000 miles sold for $80,000.... and it sold in two days.

Thats why its GONE from toyotas line up! As for 80k thats not normal at all, I just checked autotrader and average price was 21607, the first one on the list was a black 94 turbo sport roof with 32k miles for 28k, the 100,000 mile plus boy racer hammered crap will sell for much less.

And also research how sports car sales in general for EVERY company, including Chevy has dropped over the years. AND the fact that it took Chevy over TEN years to produce a faster car, and they still have to sell it for over $20,000 more. And they're still not as reliable.
