Whether or not they do it for the show, I don't care. I still find it amusing regardless. I can say, however, that things CAN move. I've had a shelf come flying across a friend's room for no explainable reason (other than whatever was in that house wanted me out).
One thing that no one seems to consider is that it is a television show that has a certain production value. In the first shot, when the bottle is on the window-sill you can see a more prevalent image of the cameraman's IR reflecting in the window. It could be that they opened the window to avoid shot pollution. I'm not saying that it's exactly what happened but it's certainly possible and ya know what Jay and Grant always say...when it doubt, throw it out.

good spot, i am not a fan of GH i have seen it a few times and it just bores me and it is obviouse there is some acting going on. me and my partner watched the one at Alcatraz and we both thought some of the things were too suspicious. we are firm believers in spirits but i also believe that the only spirit on this programme are the one they drink in the bar with the money they con out of people.

I dont know..its weird, because if u see closer when "the window its open" u can see some spots at the top right of the glass when video is running so maybe the window is not open. and at the beginning maybe is the reflection of the door that divides the window. it`s just an idea. sorry 4 my english.
i used to like this show...then they pull out things like the flashlight and loosen the battery conection and say they are talking to ghosts. and then oops's like this one...
ghost hunting is like professional wrestling back in the day. we want to believe it's true but in the end Ed Macmahn will come out and let us know its all fake, but we'll still love it for the entertainment value. =) funny thing is though, i do think there are ghosts but I'm not sure how many GH have actually captured.

I like GA more than GH. Even if it is fake those guys are pretty funny. Especially the bald guy with a goatee. I could never take these shows seriously. Not while a corporation is backing them. They want results whether it be real or fabricated.
One thing that chaps my ass is, they claim to have heard a noise so loud that the audio guys could pick it up, but we dont know because they have the background F/X music and spooky sounds up so damn loud you can hardly hear what they are even saying. At least on Ghost Adventure's they will do an instant play back.
@shadowman3861 They do it not only for effect but to enhance/HIDE the sound. The sounds heard on both shows are just that, normal sounds. GA does not offer instant playback. Remember the show is recorded/edited. They enhance sounds . They precondition you.i.e. Zac claims it's a little girl. You are immediately preconditioned to hear that. Darkness plus explainable bumps in the night = evidence. It is that simple.

This show is a joke, carefully crafted for the gullible to get ratings.
I saw an episode where 1 guy goes into a basement with his equipment. He mopes around for a while, and when there is absolutely NOTHING to be seen or heard, the show takes it upon itself to spice up the drama. Low, creepy music comes on with 'whispering' sound effects, and the guy starts running out. Later he tells his partner "I had to get outta there, I didn't feel welcome, I felt it was dangerous!" Really laughable.
This doesn't prove anything. Yes they could have faked it, but do you honestly think they would be stupid enough to leave the window open? there could be other factors such as the entity, if there was one, had opened it as well as moved the bottle. as for them not using a camera, they were probably skeptical about it actually moving and wanted to use the equipment for another part of the investigation. Im not saying that your wrong but you need more evidence before claiming they faked it.

I watched this episode and did not notice it. You have a very quick eye :). And someone pointed out that they just walked away, instead of putting a camera or watching it themselves. Horrible. I hate ghost hunters. There first episodes were great, but this goes to show how money can turn people.

The before picture looks like the window screen as well. You can even see the weird curve it plays with the light. These two small clips don't really support anything. The camera is at very different places between the two, changing the lighting drastically, so I don't think you can really make such assumptions.
I would love to see a longer clip of the episode, though. I did see this episode when it originally aired and I thought several of the happenings were suspicious.
it could be that it's just old school glass, if it's an older, close to victorian age house (which i strongly suspect it is, since TAPS likes older sites) tehn the windows will most likely be original. Old victorian age glass was rippled and had flaws, being as it was handmade, not the modern factory glass which is perfectly smooth
As a fellow ghost hunter I can say that if the window wasnt a factor this would easily be an intelligent occurance. But the before and after pics cancel it out, and along with various 'iffy' TAPS happenings, it only backs em up.

I scanned the video (on hulu) & yes, you'll see 2 clear shots of the window closed. They pan the bed as hey ask questions & as they do you see the window now open a slight breeze moving the drapes It is at that time they hear something a noise in the hall.

It is so filled with out takes, re takes, secondary footage, suspicious behavior, a reveal which says one thing after we saw something different, & a complete disregard for the intelligence of the viewer. This episode should've been called " Bottled B.S."
For anyone watching THIS. Look beyond the editing mistakes. Look instead at TAPS behavior. They don't record the very object they request be moved. WHY? Pilgrim doesn't record the bathroom/bottle either. WHY? The REVEAL shows 2 different moments. WHY? When the bottle moves so does the soap dish, rubber ducky, towels, window.... WHY? There's NO VISUAL PROOF. Why? We know why. FAKE!
I am an avid Paranormal Junkie, I watch every ghost show that is available to me, I work on enhancing my 3rd abilities. It is disheartening to see the truth behind this show, and though I had my own suspicions about TAPs findings, and their constant need to debunk everything, and their "role playing' during interviews, and commentary does cause conflict in my appeal for their shows.
Thats what i hate about it too, they feel a need to 'debunk' random shit just to feel legit and make their other crap look real. They dont even do a good job of faking the debunking stuff to me and put too much emphasis on the stuff they debunk to make it look like thats what its about and not about actual hauntings. Just because their little 'club' cant tell what one thing is, all the sudden its haunted...
Just a few things to think about.why would they have to open the window to move the bottle?there are many reasons why the window couldve been opened within the time span.also judging by the room I don't think opening the window and slipping in undetected would be very viable.And if Taps has their own "evidence creating crew" working on the show, would they really have to open the window to move the bottle anyway? and why there? even with a gopher type arm that position would be harder to obtain.

I also do it because I was asked to. I think it's the only all debunking youtube site. I don't expect it in anyway to lessen the total TAPS audience, but it makes them (TAPS) play it safer. Look at the joke that was the 100th episode. They took little chances. It also helps those who feel it's fake to see just how fake it is.
alot of the shows do enhance there findings for entertainment. but NOT ghost hunters. what they find is real and just because you dont believe it doesnt meen its fake.and if someone did move that it wasnt someone from taps. and there has been dozens of visual proof of unexplainable figures captured by taps.
i have seen only a few moments from the show. like the rest it appears they heavily rely on evps aka take a noise and filter it until you can hear what you want to hear. if there's one positive thing all these shows are doing it's killing the genre, by inundating/boring the public with yet lame evp's.

Alright, so I've just watched the other video, number 5, and I have to admit there are some odd editing problems there. However, what I said about the storm window still applies. How could it be closed if someone used the window to move the bottle?
Not doubting it's fake footage, just saying that I'm not so sure the window was the key element. Bad editing, sure, but I'm thinking they cut off the camera, went into the bathroom, and messed around before filming again, which explains the rest.
O.K. Firstly I DON'T believe anyone can thru the window. Some do, so the video was produced accordingly. This WAS an editing disaster. In 50 minutes I swear they made almost as many mistakes. Now the window. You can quite easily leave the storm open just above the track groove where the lock latches.
If that were the case, you could enter. Upon exiting you can pull the window down & lock it in place. I have an old storm like this in my garage & did exactly that.
Not only that, but the storm window is in place, which further proves that there couldn't have been anyone on the outside to open the window, or they would have had to remove the storm window first.
The window being open is, of course, a bit unexplainable, but if the storm window is still there, then no one went through that window.
you're looking at this as if it were shown in real time. remember it's a tv show. what we see is not how it happens. they stop. they take breaks. they reshoot the same scene.
even if one believed someone came through the window (see my reply above) it could easily be left open, since there was no camera in the bathroom, and the camera persons could've been elsewhere or on break.

I have windows like this in my home. The paned glass, which you see in the beginning of this video, which is closed, slides upward to open the window.
That means that someone opened it from the inside, not the outside.
NO ONE came in through the window. It was an editing mistake. i say this in the description. This video was posted for those who believe someone did. I NEVER have. I am making a point of how badly edited this is & with this much contamination & inconsistencies you cannot say it's paranormal. NOTHING can be changed, moved, or out of place (other than the bottle). It has to be a sterile environment. TAPS nor Pilgrim record the bottle..because they know they can't.

@ultimatetubetime that wasnt me i left my youtube acc on and my roommate must of posted it i believe in ghost i have had encounters i personaly do not watch them because they bring back them memories. and i dont like them, they still scare me at the age of 23. i am someone that will argue for house that im poking in the dark here that 90% of the crap thats on tv and most of the stufff on the net is fake aswell cept from some sites like the graphic ones. like rotten and a hole crapload of others

good spot, i am not a fan of GH i have seen it a few times and it just bores me and it is obviouse there is some acting going on. me and my partner watched the one at Alcatraz and we both thought some of the things were too suspicious. we are firm believers in spirits but i also believe that the only spirit on this programme are the one they drink in the bar with the money they con out of people.

ghost hunting is like professional wrestling back in the day. we want to believe it's true but in the end Ed Macmahn will come out and let us know its all fake, but we'll still love it for the entertainment value. =) funny thing is though, i do think there are ghosts but I'm not sure how many GH have actually captured.

One thing that chaps my ass is, they claim to have heard a noise so loud that the audio guys could pick it up, but we dont know because they have the background F/X music and spooky sounds up so damn loud you can hardly hear what they are even saying. At least on Ghost Adventure's they will do an instant play back.
I like the hell out of GH, but im just saying.

@shadowman3861 They do it not only for effect but to enhance/HIDE the sound. The sounds heard on both shows are just that, normal sounds. GA does not offer instant playback. Remember the show is recorded/edited. They enhance sounds . They precondition you.i.e. Zac claims it's a little girl. You are immediately preconditioned to hear that. Darkness plus explainable bumps in the night = evidence. It is that simple.

The 3 E's-Every Evidence is caught in the Evening. It has to be because (the 4th E) it's Easier to create the (5th E) Effect. J may be the on camera boss but G's in control of the fabrication.

I love Ghost Hunters! I mostly like Grant, because he's always trying to find the most paranormal stuff around. I think they should do this for a long time, because it sometimes helps people with their fear of ghosts. This show is a joke, carefully crafted for the gullible to get ratings.
I saw an episode where 1 guy goes into a basement with his equipment. He mopes around for a while, and when there is absolutely NOTHING to be seen or heard, the show takes it upon itself to spice up the drama. Low, creepy music comes on with 'whispering' sound effects, and the guy starts running out. Later he tells his partner "I had to get outta there, I didn't feel welcome, I felt it was dangerous!" Really laughable.

This doesn't prove anything. Yes they could have faked it, but do you honestly think they would be stupid enough to leave the window open? there could be other factors such as the entity, if there was one, had opened it as well as moved the bottle. as for them not using a camera, they were probably skeptical about it actually moving and wanted to use the equipment for another part of the investigation. Im not saying that your wrong but you need more evidence before claiming they faked it.

im not saying there real or fake, but when trying to find out did you ever think that when they go to a house they look around for about 4 to 5 hours, then they try to fit 1 or 2 diff investagasions into a hour shows. ever think that one of them grabbed the towels for some stupid reason like being in the way or so no light bounces off, but they would cut it out since there take hours n hours n braking it down to 24 minutes... im not saying that its real because of that, just dont forgetthat!

The before picture looks like the window screen as well. You can even see the weird curve it plays with the light. These two small clips don't really support anything. The camera is at very different places between the two, changing the lighting drastically, so I don't think you can really make such assumptions.
I would love to see a longer clip of the episode, though. I did see this episode when it originally aired and I thought several of the happenings were suspicious.

it could be that it's just old school glass, if it's an older, close to victorian age house (which i strongly suspect it is, since TAPS likes older sites) tehn the windows will most likely be original. Old victorian age glass was rippled and had flaws, being as it was handmade, not the modern factory glass which is perfectly smooth

I cannot understand how people don't see that & that's why you see no evidence.
They ask a bottle to be moved but don't record the very object they ask to be moved. They don't because it doesn't.

@linclinc5 What the fege?It IS the same room. I agree with everything you say about GH except ...it's the same bathroom. The fact that they show the bathroom to the homeowner is proof. She buys into the bottle moving BS because it's to her benefit to do so, but she would not accept it if they were two different rooms.
I said this a long time ago. That bathroom saw a lot of activity, none of it paranormal.

i agree with EH# that is not the same room look at the sink in the first shot with the window close and the toilet paper roll. then go to the next shot when the bottle is moved the sink turned into a toilet and the toilet paper roll dissapers

@CountryBoy425 IT IS the same room. J already admitted it was. He claims the window open was an editing mistake. It was filmed before or after the investigation. I've said from the start this was an editing disaster & they pieced it together to look paranormal. Yet GH, nor Meatloaf will say why with 8 kabillion $'s in cameras not one was placed INSIDE & just OUTside the bathroom at anytime. To do so would've proved this fake. Yet, somehow NOT SHOWING proof, it happens means it's real!

@kingborg4343 Once that episode goes online which is usually quickly, I will take a look. Unless they're claiming this was a ghost then it's just an editing mistake which is also important.

I scanned the video (on hulu) & yes, you'll see 2 clear shots of the window closed. They pan the bed as hey ask questions & as they do you see the window now open a slight breeze moving the drapes It is at that time they hear something a noise in the hall.
Good catch.
I can't say it was opened to purposely fake evidence, maybe they needed some air, but they cannot claim noises heard when the window's open when it was first closed!

@EH3Productions it's the same bathroom. This episode was by far the worst edited disaster in their series. It is so filled with out takes, re takes, secondary footage, suspicious behavior, a reveal which says one thing after we saw something different, & a complete disregard for the intelligence of the viewer. This episode should've been called " Bottled B.S."

I am an avid Paranormal Junkie, I watch every ghost show that is available to me, I work on enhancing my 3rd abilities. It is disheartening to see the truth behind this show, and though I had my own suspicions about TAPs findings, and their constant need to debunk everything, and their "role playing' during interviews, and commentary does cause conflict in my appeal for their shows.

Thats what i hate about it too, they feel a need to 'debunk' random shit just to feel legit and make their other crap look real. They dont even do a good job of faking the debunking stuff to me and put too much emphasis on the stuff they debunk to make it look like thats what its about and not about actual hauntings. Just because their little 'club' cant tell what one thing is, all the sudden its haunted...

Just a few things to think about.why would they have to open the window to move the bottle?there are many reasons why the window couldve been opened within the time span.also judging by the room I don't think opening the window and slipping in undetected would be very viable.And if Taps has their own "evidence creating crew" working on the show, would they really have to open the window to move the bottle anyway? and why there? even with a gopher type arm that position would be harder to obtain.

I don't have a need to do this. I do it because it comes fairly easily & for fun. if this was my mission in life I'd have a real web site, daily blog, facebook, twitter...
I also do it because I was asked to. I think it's the only all debunking youtube site. I don't expect it in anyway to lessen the total TAPS audience, but it makes them (TAPS) play it safer. Look at the joke that was the 100th episode. They took little chances. It also helps those who feel it's fake to see just how fake it is.

alot of the shows do enhance there findings for entertainment. but NOT ghost hunters. what they find is real and just because you dont believe it doesnt meen its fake.and if someone did move that it wasnt someone from taps. and there has been dozens of visual proof of unexplainable figures captured by taps.

i have seen only a few moments from the show. like the rest it appears they heavily rely on evps aka take a noise and filter it until you can hear what you want to hear. if there's one positive thing all these shows are doing it's killing the genre, by inundating/boring the public with yet lame evp's.
maybe i'll look at one their episodes but from what little i've seen, they should be called, another evp lab.

Alright, so I've just watched the other video, number 5, and I have to admit there are some odd editing problems there. However, what I said about the storm window still applies. How could it be closed if someone used the window to move the bottle?
Not doubting it's fake footage, just saying that I'm not so sure the window was the key element. Bad editing, sure, but I'm thinking they cut off the camera, went into the bathroom, and messed around before filming again, which explains the rest.

O.K. Firstly I DON'T believe anyone can thru the window. Some do, so the video was produced accordingly. This WAS an editing disaster. In 50 minutes I swear they made almost as many mistakes. Now the window. You can quite easily leave the storm open just above the track groove where the lock latches.
If that were the case, you could enter. Upon exiting you can pull the window down & lock it in place. I have an old storm like this in my garage & did exactly that.

Not only that, but the storm window is in place, which further proves that there couldn't have been anyone on the outside to open the window, or they would have had to remove the storm window first.
The window being open is, of course, a bit unexplainable, but if the storm window is still there, then no one went through that window.

you're looking at this as if it were shown in real time. remember it's a tv show. what we see is not how it happens. they stop. they take breaks. they reshoot the same scene.
even if one believed someone came through the window (see my reply above) it could easily be left open, since there was no camera in the bathroom, and the camera persons could've been elsewhere or on break.

I have windows like this in my home. The paned glass, which you see in the beginning of this video, which is closed, slides upward to open the window.
That means that someone opened it from the inside, not the outside.

NO ONE came in through the window. It was an editing mistake. i say this in the description. This video was posted for those who believe someone did. I NEVER have. I am making a point of how badly edited this is & with this much contamination & inconsistencies you cannot say it's paranormal. NOTHING can be changed, moved, or out of place (other than the bottle). It has to be a sterile environment. TAPS nor Pilgrim record the bottle..because they know they can't.
