eh, i like the spinning rods a bit,, but there good for certain things for me, i usually use baitcaster for more heavier lures like spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, and more heavier crankbaits, which also jonny, why don't you use a baitcaster, you can get good reels for like $50, like a diawa strikeforce which i got, just wondering why you don't use one

i have trouble getting pike to bite whats the best bait/lure to use, i fish for pike and walleye alot but i never get them, i usually fish simply with night crawlers, a sinker and hook.

Walleye I like wieght forward worm harnesses and simple jig n minnows

in a little while ill put a vid on how to cast them. i use to think the same thing.

All you have to do is start out with a little line on your spool. and just work your way up. Thats how I learned anyway.

Get one. They are easy to learn how. If you mess up yeah you are going to get a backlast but make sure to put down your thumb before it hits the water. Great fishin JFick. Tight lines!!!

They are small man!!! fun but i perfer the bigger fish..... I went fishing a couple of days ago and caught a 32 inch 16 pound striped bass. I was using a surf rod with a 3 ounce inline sinker with a small jig head and a tiny fluke 3 inch. it is fun mann!!
