Now this is my stance there is no need for you to follow the law other than a desire to be obedient to the Word of God, but Jesus did say that anyone who teaches others to disobey the least of the Law and Prophets will be called least in the Kingdom of heaven.
The definition of sin is lawlessness according to James and Paul said that just because we are free does not mean we have a license to sin - the law Christ abolished in his flesh according to Colossians cannot be the commands of God or else God is a liar and the entire bible is false because Christ himself said in the book of Matthew that he did not come to abolish the law but to fulfill it. (continued)
The major misconception of people who reject the law in favor of grace is that those who obey the law do so in opposition to grace. No, recognition exists in those reconnected to the Hebrew Roots of Christianity that the only way to the father is through his son Yeshua (Jesus Christ). The reason the law is still to be followed is not for righteousness but because of your relationship. (continued)
@truthis1016 Amen we do not obey God's law FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS; we are not self-righteous. We are saved by grace, through FAITH. However as Paul wrote in Romans 3:31 "Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law."
EVEN THOUGH the Law doesn't save us or justify us, it is we who are to establish God's law and do it.
People who are unlearned become confused by this though, because they think it means doing burnt offerings and sacrifices which are no more.
@mikemarco76 Well, actually that was one of the only doctrines those two clowns got right actually.
The Bible really does instruct us we must be born again, not of a physical body or of woman, but of the Spirit of God and unless we are born again of the Spirit we do not have any eternal life dwelling within us.
@vudumojo well i was just wondering which one of them started the new religion. If they could see how popular it has become now a days im sure they would be extremely proud of the work they accomplished.
@AchreousD im am a beliver. But i was just wondering who started the new age of Christianity. The one where you can throw out almost the entire bible. And only read the small bits and pieces that fit into your life at the moment? You know. The born again religion. Its only been around about 30 years or so. I was just wondering who started it?
@mikemarco76 Oh, your comments sound like an atheist I have dealt with. Why would you ask for Bible verses to prove blasphemy? So you're asking who perverted the truth Christ taught? Jesus taught "you must be born again." I don't know what fake "Pastor" teaches other wise. When you say God's law, you're not talking about the Law of Moses are you? I do know who done away with the Law of Moses. You might want to work on your sarcasm it comes across as non-belief.
@AchreousD im just trying hard to establish exactly who began the new age of christianity? Does anyone really know or give credit to the man who began it all about 30 years ago? If you study religious history. 40 years ago a born again believer in Christ, was completely and totally different than the ones of today. The practices, beliefs, and even gospels were totally opposite than today. Who changed it and why? Does anyone know the answer to this? i really would like to know myself?
@AchreousD You said they changed the GOSPELS? No they did not change the gospels. The KJV Bible is true, accurate and correct. It is the one true beacon of truth in this world. People will fail you; don't put your faith in man. and it is man who constantly claims the Bible is not trustworthy.
@vudumojo Huh, I'm sorry but I don't know what you are talking about... "You said they changed the GOSPELS?" When did I say that, what is the context and were is my statement or video where I made that statement? Or did you send this to the wrong person? I know the KJV is true, and others like NIV, NWT, NLB and others have part truths because some so-called scholars have changed, taken away and disregard text...
@LIQUIDFLUIDR12X Amen to that, and then Paul writes that Salvation is not through works of God's Law but instead by God's Grace, through faith in Jesus, but then Paul clarifies by saying "Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law." Romans 3:31
This is no contradiction, it simply means SALVATION does not come by God's law but by God's Grace, but we still establish the Law; it is not abolished or done away with.
1 Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and whoever loves the Father loves the child born of Him. 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and observe His commandments. 3For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome
Perhaps you could read the article on my website called The Sabbaths and let me know where you would disagree? On a side note, how do you understand the revival of the Levitical priesthood and the feasts during the Millennium?
@stuartalive You asked, "...how do you understand the revival of the Levitical priesthood and the feasts during the Millennium?" It's just that my friend; for now the Levitical Priesthood is not in effect, * but it will be again* during the millennium.
However, are we to *REMEMBER* for instance the Passover and teach our children what happened in Egypt? Absolutely and Jesus himself said do this in remembrance of me. Not killing the lamb and the whole rite, but the bread and wine as a memorial.
That's how I see it too, so we certainly agree on the majors. I also keep the Biblical festivals and sabbaths but without the sacrificial rites that were part of the Levitical law.
@stuartalive The sacrificial rites are woven into the feasts though so I do not see how it is justifiable; those are all part OF the Levitical Law Jesus' Priesthood replaces. I felt as you do for a long time, but the more I have studied it, it has become clear to me it is all woven together and is all part of this old Priesthood, which has been replaced. Mind you, this doesn't mean GOD'S Law is replaced, just the Levite's. Not "Abolished" just fulfilled by Jesus himself in regard to Salvation.
@vudumojo So then you would agree that the law has more than one purpose? It leads us to Christ, but it also shows us the basis of righteous living that is built upon by the gospel of Jesus. You see I interpret 1 Timothy 1 as saying that the law is not just for the lost but for everyone, because no one is righteous, as Paul says elsewhere. The law is to be used according to the gospel of Jesus Christ, which means in the light of it and with the changes made to the law under the new priesthood.
@stuartalive Right the Levitical Priesthood is replaced by Jesus'. Sin offerings are no more which required a Levite, but Jesus told us plainly in Matthew 5:18-19 that the rest of the Law is still in effect. "For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven:"
hebrews 5:. 8 Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered 9 and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him
Consider the parable of the sower, the talents, the 10 virgins. No matter how people try to dance around it, those professing to be in Christ, follow Him. Loving Him and all people and despising sin. Agreeing with God and doing what is pleasing is only reasonable service. If it is not then it is good to do as scripture says and search the scripture and test yourself if you be in the faith.
Strive, run and keep brothers and sisters. May God help us in these evil days.
@yourtubesteak We are no longer under the Law FOR SALVATION.
Does this mean God's Law is abolished?
dlcornwell
"What is grace?? It is forgiveness for transgression of the law. If the law is done away with, then there is no need for grace! We are saved by grace alone, not by our "works" in keeping the law. We keep the law because we love God... and trust his commandments and laws, because we know that HE loves US, so those commandments and laws are in our best interest, because he loves us"
@quest380 AMEN! Sin is the transgression of the Law... and we are created UNTO good works and should WALK IN THEM, even though works do not bring salvation.
As it says in Romans 3 31 " Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law. "
We ESTABLISH God's Law, of course.
Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ for our salvation though.
@vudumojo What is the transgression of god's Laws---Sin!!! If we continue to sin without any effort to stop..we're still in our sins! Many profess Christ, but refuse to OBEY Him!!!
The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, for, “Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:14-16
This man is scattering his flock. Those who listen to this and believe that we should not observe God's instruction are in trouble. I do not want to be in this man's shoes for leading so many astray. I tell you all to go read the entire book of Romans. Do not listen to what I say or what others tell you. Go read. Paul says we should establish the law. Having said that, the law alone will not save you. Only faith in Christ will save you. Sin is trangression of the law. We need both law and grace.
@jdb0905 Very good. The reason I posted this, is because it does a couple of things.
It opens the conversation up although he couldn't be further from the truth in regard to obedience to God he is correct in regard to Salvation. He's reflecting only one side of Paul's teachings and leaving out obedience.
SALVATION is by grace, through faith and not of works of God's Law PERIOD. Then Paul says, " Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law."
21 “Woman,” Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22 You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”
12 This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus.
Revelation 12 17 Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring—those who keep God’s commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus.
8"My (H)Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so (I)prove to be My disciples. 9"Just as (J)the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love. 10"(K)If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as (L)I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love.
Ezekiel 36 25Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. 26A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
28But He said, "On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it." ( when Jesus said these words, was the New Testament read ?? was the church already set up ?? )
13 For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
Romans 3
31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
1 John 3
4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. 5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. 6Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
13 For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
Romans 3
31Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
1 John 3
4Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. 5And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. 6Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
Aleph 1 Blessed are those who live without blame. They live in keeping with the law of the Lord. 2 Blessed are those who obey his covenant laws. They trust in him with all their hearts.
@LIQUIDFLUIDR12X So, Jesus was just wrong when he quoted the old testament constantly because none of the new was written yet, right? When he said not one jot or tittle will pass from the Law till heaven and earth burn up and the new come, and that he did not come to destroy the Law but fulfill and again it will not be fulfilled till heaven and earth pass, was he wrong again?...look down at your feet. That's the earth. Now look out into the night sky. Those are the heavens. You're wrong.
TORAHTEACHERS...There is a proper context for 1 john 5,but if a person understands it as meaning we have to obey the 10 commandments [the law] then, that's out of context...the Law was placed so we would try and fail at keeping them then look to Christ work on the Cross and his provision,or grace for us..he canceled the written word [the law] because it stood opposed to us,we couldn't keep it,and turn to the cross where he took all our sins [Grace] leaving only one sin that condems ... unbelief!
If your going to consider the Bible as being truth from God,then one of the best people out there to listen to ,is Bob George..if you think the Bible is just another tool of mass brain washing, then that's fine,it may be.but weather it is true truth or not, as far as the book making sense,or to really have a clear understanding of what it's all about, truth or Hogwash, Bob at least will make it clear as a bell if you listen to him enough times until you get what he's saying..the bible makes sense.
Well said Bob. All of these hypocrites think the're going to impress God with all of their righteous deeds that they think will hide their black wicked stinking hearts. I know you can't speak anymore brother but the ones you've educated are going out boldly proclaiming the gospel. We will speak for you! Paul is being rejected all over the world because of these apostates who presume to nullify the word of God as it is written. To what end? They bury it in the ground of foolish arguement.
@vudumojo Riiiiiight... hold up lemme just quote some irrelevant book that has been bastardised a million times over the last thousand years to control the masses... oh no wait that's ur job.
@vudumojo WHEN YOU ONLY QUOTE SCRIPTURES FROM THE LETTERS OF PAUL YOU CAN DERIVED FROM THE BIBLE NOT IN ANY OTHER PLACE.
EXAMPLE: 1JOHN THIS IS JESUS BROTHER WHO SEEN JESUS THE RESSURECTED BODY FIRST,
1JOHN CHAPTER 5 VS.2" By this we know that we are the children of God, when we love God and keep his commandments vs 3" for this is the love of God that we keep his commandments: AND HIS COMMANDMENTS ARE NOT GRIEVOUS (BONDAGE)
@adrianroberts1 Are you disagreeing with me, because everything you quoted I agree with fully.
Even though we're saved by grace, through faith, we still establish God's Law...not for Salvation...not for our own justification, but because we have faith in God and his words...because we trust him we obey.
Works do not bring SALVATION though...Salvation is a gift that we can't earn, and still we establish God's Holy and Perfect Law.
matthew 5:17 "Think not that i come destroy the law,or the prophets: I am not come to destroy but to fulfil
for verily i say unto you that till heaven and earth pass one jot or tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all
be fulfilled. whosesoever therefore shall break one of the least commandments, and teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven. But whosoever shall do and teach them they shall be called great in heaven".
@game11221 Yes, in regard to SALVATION Jesus did it all. We can't earn Salvation. It is FINISHED!
That is the MILK of the Word.
Once we are weened from the milk and drawn from the breasts we move on to the meat of the Word which is obedience to God's Law, not for our own justification and Salvation though, Jesus already completed that work, but because God commanded it.
ONE REPENTS ACCEPTS YESHUA RECEIVES THE HOLY SPIRIT AND NOW ONE IS EMPOWER TO DO THE "LAW" (WHICH IS NOT LAW WAS A MISTRANSLATION).BY GRACE. NOW ONE HAS THE PRIVILEDGE TO DO IT.
NO NO NO NO PLEASE, PEOPLE LEARN SOME HEBREW. if you are not under the 'LAW" WHICH IS INSTRUCTION YOU ARE LAWLESS AND YOU WILL NOT ENTER IN THE CITY. HE CAME TO RENEW HIS COVENANT NOT TO GIVE A NEW ONE . CHECK RABBI RALH MESSER ON GOOGLE.
@brazilian777able Well, I definitely agree 100% that we are to not be lawless and Jesus himself said he did not come to destroy the Law and that it will not pass away until heaven and earth burn with fervent heat and the new heaven and new earth come.
Look down at your feet, that's the earth under those feet, see the stars in the sky, those are the heavens. Until that is gone Jesus said the Law is in full force and effect.
Mistranslation? I disagree with you there! God bless...
ONE REPENTS ACCEPTS YESHUA RECEIVES THE HOLY SPIRIT AND NOW ONE IS EMPOWER TO DO THE "LAW" (WHICH IS NOT LAW WAS A MISTRANSLATION).BY GRACE. NOW ONE HAS THE PRIVILEDGE TO DO IT.
Obedience Commanded 1 Hear now, O Israel, the decrees and laws I am about to teach you. Follow them so that you may live and may go in and take possession of the land that the LORD, the God of your fathers, is giving you. 2 Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the LORD your God that I give you.
2 Peter 2 19They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity—for a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him... 21It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the ( S A C R E D LAWS ) that was passed on to them. 22Of them the proverbs are true: "A dog returns to its vomit,"[f]and, "A sow that is washed goes back to her wallowing in the mud."
John 5: 44How can you believe if you accept praise from one another, yet make no effort to obtain the praise that comes from the only God? 45"But do not think I will accuse you before the Father. Your accuser is Moses (LAW ), on whom your hopes are set. 46If you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote about me. 47But since you do not believe what he wrote, how are you going to believe what I say?" (LAWGRACE)=(GRACELAW)
...think about this !!! Ephesians 5:4Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. 5For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a man is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.[a] 6Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient. 7Therefore do not be partners with them.
...When we reject the Holy Feast days of YHWH and instead we keep our own traditions of Easter, Christmas, Halloween, etc. and every other form of man made tradition, this is exactly what "legalism" is my friends !!! Shabbath Shalom !!! ...seek the truth and you'll find, do not just believe, what I write down but verified for your self !!!
...today in modern day Christianity, there are what I call "Pharisees of Grace" who replace the commandments of YHWH with man made ones, all under the guise of "grace" but in reality, they are promoting "legalism" because they want church members to be under their control instead of under the leading of the Holy Spirit and the scriptures.
Mark 7 They worship me in vain; their teachings are nothing but rules taught by men. 8 You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men." 9 And he said to them: "You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe[ your own traditions! 10 For Moses said......13 Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like that."
...that's why when a Christian try to share JESUS, with a Jew that knows a little be of the WORD, can't not related himself with a LAWLESSNESS MESSIAH, Yeshua was, is and will uphold The Mosaic covenant forever, to us ( JEWS ) the church it's a place where you get saved by grace and after you get saved they'll teach you how to violated ( torah ) G-d's Law, trough the commandments of MEN !!! He's a Law keeper, he never told any one not obey The Mosaic covenant !!! shalom !!! 2 Peter 3:16
...Got LEGALISM ???...Legalism is trying to earn your way into the kingdom by either keeping the Commands of G-d or by Keeping the Traditions of Men.
Both are like Lawlessness, as Lawlessness replaces G-d's Instructions on how to have physical life, Legalism replaces G-d's Instructions on how to have Spiritual Life. There are many Christians who incorrectly define “legalism” as a obeying God's Commandments . Matthew 5:17-19
cmcneill60 has replied to your comment on Law and Grace - Bob George:
@BP7000 i disagree, the purpose of the law is to lead people to CHRIST,people need to come to the end of themselves and say GOD i cant do that,i cant obey all your laws, i stumble at some point then GOD says now you got it,you cant but i can gal 2:19 for through the law i died to the law, that i might live unto GOD,your saying law and grace together GOD says kill the law put it to death so you may have life through JESUS
@BP7000 ...that's why it's important to research the original text, this what it says Galatians 2;19-20 ...for it was through letting the torah ( instructions ) speak for it self
that I died to its traditional legalistic misinterpretation, so that I might live in direct relationship with G-d. 20 when the Messiah was crucified as a criminal, I was too; so that my proud ego no longer lives. but the Messiah lives in me, and the live I now live in my body, I live by the same faith of the Son...
It is definitely possible that Jesus was saying that He didn’t come to abolish the Law of Moses, To know what Jesus meant by “Law” we have to look at his audience and the context of his teaching. Jesus was Jewish. We know He kept the Law of Moses in every way so He could be a perfect sacrifice. The people He was talking to were Jewish people who kept the Law of Moses. Jesus never left Israel. READ THE WORD !!! SHALOM !!!!
But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. - Galatians 5:18 (KJV)
If Paul truly taught “freedom from the Law” as most Christians believe he did, then is he not, according to Jesus, called least in the kingdom of heaven for teaching men to annul even the least of God’s commandments?
How can we justify this apparent contradiction? There are two primary logical conclusions:
Paul said in several of His letters that we are no longer “under the Law,” and most Christians have interpreted that to mean that Paul is teaching that we are free from the Law and therefore do not need to keep the Sabbath or the dietary laws or God’s commanded feasts or many of the other laws from the “Old Testament.”
For ye are not under the law, but under grace. - Romans 6:14 (KJV)
At the beginning of the “Sermon on the Mount” in Matthew 5, Jesus clearly said that He did not come to abolish the Law and that not even one detail would pass from it until heaven and earth pass away, which has not happened yet. It would seem then, that according to Jesus, the Law must still be in effect today. Jesus also said that anyone who taught men to break even the least of the commandments would be called least in the kingdom of heaven.
...Daniel 7: 25 He will speak against the Most High and oppress his saints and try to change the set times and the laws. The saints will be handed over to him for a time, times and half a time.
...Revelation 12:17 Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to make war against the rest of her offspring—those who obey God's commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus.
1 Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and whoever loves the Father loves the child born of Him. 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and observe His commandments. 3For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome. 4For whatever is born of God overcomes the world,.
@TORAHTEACHERS Jesus's commandments the words that come directly from our savior at that very moment. the rema word. that is the bread! not the law of moses but be lead by the holy spirit.
@anyusmoon1 Let me ask you a question about faith.
Are you perfect?
Let's say you are married, even though you are imperfect and doomed to failure, can you be faithful to your husband, if you try? ...or should you just give up on faithfulness because you know you can't do it?
613 huh?
How many traffic laws are on the books?
Screw em eh, don't even try to obey right?
OR, do you DO THEM and succeed at obeying the states THOUSANDS of laws?
intresting guy, a cousin showed me his book. yet another preacher tellin ppl that if they say a prayer they will definitely (regardless of the fruit of their life) go to heaven :/ wow, that is one broad way. if there is no repentance in ur life, no deep conviction of sin, no thirsting for righteousness, no hate for the things of the world. just a single moment wen u 'gave ur life to Christ'. no one out side of the last decade or so has seriously believed that. Christianity has a problem
@BP7000 Well exactly, because God's GRACE is meant to lead us to REPENT, turn around 180 degrees DO what he says not what we have been doing, even though the CORE, the DRIVING force behind or actions isn't to be saved, Jesus finished that WORK FOR US. The driving force behind our actions is simply because we have faith in what he has told us, so we DO them!
Very NON-complicated.
Anyone who cannot *get* that, does not WANT to *get* it !!!!!!!!!!
@DaveMalton Psalm 119 1 Blessed are they whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the LORD. 2 Blessed are they who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart.
@DaveMalton Matthew 4:1 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit ( BY WHO ??? ) into the desert to be tempted by the devil. 2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3 The tempter came to him and said, "If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread." 4 Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God. ( ON EVERY WORD OF G-D, NOT JUST SOME ) DEUT. 8:3 ...he's a law keeper !!! ...how about you ???
@BP7000 Absolutely nothing is wrong with obeying God's Laws and Commandments and we should obey God, as long as we understand we can't *earn* salvation by doing them.
@vudumojo I understand that one is save by grace thru faith in the son of G-d, to be obedient to the commandment the G-d him self established, and (JESUS) up hold !!!...no one gets save by obeying the commandments, but law and grace must walk together...
@BP7000 Amen, these liars who teach that we disobey God's WORDS will be counted as the least in the kingdom:
"18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach [them], the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."
@dlt1580 By the way, PAUL IS ADVOCATING LAW, not abolishing it. He is simply explaining that SALVATION does not come by law but by grace, through faith.
It is simple, NO we are NOT made righteous BY law, but if you love God keep his Commandments. Not for salvation but because you trust Him and His Word.
Go argue that God's laws have been abolished with Jesus.
Jesus said, "For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach [them], the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."(Mathew 5:18-19)
"10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up."
Until this happens, the Law given through Moses BY God and the Commandments written WITH God's own finger and the Prophets, will be in full effect, so says Jesus...
Amen. We are saved by Grace....through faith. I am joyful that it is His righteousness and not my own. I am called to be faithful. I obey, not to earn righteousness but because I love Him! He says IF I love Him to keep His commandments and we are told that the fear of the Lord is the BEGINNING of Wisdom...A GOOD understanding have all those who DO His commandments.
I agree w/where your going on this-if we don't accept His laws, we may obey the lawless one & the fallen angel deception.
...and yes, if we aren't putting on the full armor of His Word we very well might be obeying the lawless one and believe the great lie and the fallen angel's and Satan's coming deception about them being space aliens who seeded our planet and therefore "created" us.
If we're not Obeying God's Laws, we're Obeying the Lawless One.
@boltingpuppies Chri-Stains have some strange and silly reasoning!
So let me see,... all that chri-stains have to do is trust in him but dont have obey his rules unless they want to. So its optional for chri-stains to follow the rules cuz rules are evil and cause people to do bad things. yet if you dont follow the rules it proves u dont really love him. cuz following those evil deadly rules that he concocted makes him angry with you. then you''ll go to hell for following his rules!
@cushcush100 That's right, even though you're being a smart-ass, you're actually correct. We aren't saved by our deeds, but WE ARE TO OBEY BECAUSE WE LOVE HIM.
Good job at getting right what most Christians do not understand, or willingly choose to not understand.
It's simple, these are two completely separate issues.
We dont need you on this side of the Jordan muddying up the waters. I am actually and clearly condemning ALL of Chris-insanity. This is clearly a lawless religion filled with brain dead people that are not capable to higher cognitive function. But at least you gat one right,... i was being a smart ass,... congratulations you're as smart as they come for a Chri-stain,... :-)
Everyone who claims YHVH MUST turn away from unrighteousness (trespassing the law). We still can't earn salvation, we've already fallen short with ANY imperfect deed according to YHVH's standard, the law. This is the very reason we NEED a Savior. You're saying we DON'T need a savior, that we can do it on our own. I NEED Yeshua because I can't do it on my own. This doesn't mean I/believers don't try to be perfect as He is. "Be ye therefore perfect as I am perfect.~Yeshua"
@vudumojo Thank you for your encouragement and this video. It is comforting to hear kind encouraging words spoken by a brother in Christ when talking about YHVH's law. Often times the words aren't so nice! Yeshua bless and encourage you tonight.
Read all of the Bible my friend and stop listening to these whores. You'd better put on the full armor of God, and learn to HATE the Nephilim, the Fallen Angels and Satan because they are here and will likely masquerade as our "space brothers" or "descended masters" with lying signs and wonders to deceive even the very elect if it were possible, and all of those who don't know God will believe that these "aliens" seeded our planet long ago and are therefore our scientific creator.
THAT was the "shadow of things to come", yet even IT was not abolished, rather it was fulfilled !!!
In fact, none of the law, commandments and prophecies will ever be DONE AWAY WITH, rather instead THEY ALL will be fulfilled until the current earth and heavens passed away !!!
"3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God [is] with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, [and be] their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."
"5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son."
"8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."
This is the future event Jesus spoke of in Matthew 5 and 24 as well as in Mark and Luke.
"17. Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach [them], the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."
Jesus did not change God's law in any way, although He did fulfill it, but He absolutely did not abolish any of it.
Concerning the Sabbath, Jesus said that the Sabbath is FOR man and man is not FOR the Sabbath. However, this does not mean that we should therefore abolish the Sabbath, it simply means that it is FOR YOU that you should rest on the 7th day of the week so you should therefore try to uphold this law and logical principle for your own good, not as a ritual.
The law was given to moses to show that we can not be AS GOD. Genesis said that the devil told eve " Eat of this fruit and you shall be as God;. Following the law makes us look like we are self rigteous. and what god did for us is not enough.
I understand where you are coming from Jason; I cut my Christian teeth on the message of grace and grace alone, and Bob George was a great influence on me over the years, and I still agree with many things that he says, because it is in agreement with the Bible, but it is a blasphemous statement to say following the law of God is against God.
It's ludicrous. I used to subscribe to the same doctrine as you, but we obey God because we love Him and trust what he has told us, not to earn salvation!
What is grace? It is forgiveness for transgression of the law. If the law is done away with, then there is no need for grace! We are saved by grace alone, not by our "works" in keeping the law. We keep the law because we love God.
@dlcornwell What laws do you keep? Do you include the dietary laws? All the 600 plux of the Old Testament? Do you include the ceremonial law? If you break one, you break them all. We do keep the law when we are saved, but the law is fulfilled in "Love God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength.... and your neighbor as yourself." The Spirit of the Law is Love.
Grant me Thy Law by Thy Grace, I have chosen the Way of Faith! ~ Psalm 119:29b-30a
ChristusVlCTOR 1 month ago in playlist Law and Grace of the Most High - Obeying God is not Legalism
Now this is my stance there is no need for you to follow the law other than a desire to be obedient to the Word of God, but Jesus did say that anyone who teaches others to disobey the least of the Law and Prophets will be called least in the Kingdom of heaven.
truthis1016 2 months ago
The definition of sin is lawlessness according to James and Paul said that just because we are free does not mean we have a license to sin - the law Christ abolished in his flesh according to Colossians cannot be the commands of God or else God is a liar and the entire bible is false because Christ himself said in the book of Matthew that he did not come to abolish the law but to fulfill it. (continued)
truthis1016 2 months ago
The major misconception of people who reject the law in favor of grace is that those who obey the law do so in opposition to grace. No, recognition exists in those reconnected to the Hebrew Roots of Christianity that the only way to the father is through his son Yeshua (Jesus Christ). The reason the law is still to be followed is not for righteousness but because of your relationship. (continued)
truthis1016 2 months ago
@truthis1016 Amen we do not obey God's law FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS; we are not self-righteous. We are saved by grace, through FAITH. However as Paul wrote in Romans 3:31 "Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law."
EVEN THOUGH the Law doesn't save us or justify us, it is we who are to establish God's law and do it.
People who are unlearned become confused by this though, because they think it means doing burnt offerings and sacrifices which are no more.

mikemarco76 3 months ago

I was just wondering who started it?
mikemarco76 2 months ago
@mikemarco76 Oh, your comments sound like an atheist I have dealt with. Why would you ask for Bible verses to prove blasphemy? So you're asking who perverted the truth Christ taught? Jesus taught "you must be born again." I don't know what fake "Pastor" teaches other wise. When you say God's law, you're not talking about the Law of Moses are you? I do know who done away with the Law of Moses. You might want to work on your sarcasm it comes across as non-belief.
AchreousD 2 months ago
@AchreousD im just trying hard to establish exactly who began the new age of christianity? Does anyone really know or give credit to the man who began it all about 30 years ago? If you study religious history. 40 years ago a born again believer in Christ, was completely and totally different than the ones of today. The practices, beliefs, and even gospels were totally opposite than today. Who changed it and why? Does anyone know the answer to this? i really would like to know myself?

@LIQUIDFLUIDR12X Amen to that, and then Paul writes that Salvation is not through works of God's Law but instead by God's Grace, through faith in Jesus, but then Paul clarifies by saying "Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law." Romans 3:31
This is no contradiction, it simply means SALVATION does not come by God's law but by God's Grace, but we still establish the Law; it is not abolished or done away with.
The Levitical Priesthood is gone however.

Perhaps you could read the article on my website called The Sabbaths and let me know where you would disagree? On a side note, how do you understand the revival of the Levitical priesthood and the feasts during the Millennium?
stuartalive 4 months ago
@stuartalive You asked, "...how do you understand the revival of the Levitical priesthood and the feasts during the Millennium?" It's just that my friend; for now the Levitical Priesthood is not in effect, * but it will be again* during the millennium.
However, are we to *REMEMBER* for instance the Passover and teach our children what happened in Egypt? Absolutely and Jesus himself said do this in remembrance of me. Not killing the lamb and the whole rite, but the bread and wine as a memorial.
vudumojo 4 months ago
That's how I see it too, so we certainly agree on the majors. I also keep the Biblical festivals and sabbaths but without the sacrificial rites that were part of the Levitical law.
stuartalive 4 months ago
@stuartalive The sacrificial rites are woven into the feasts though so I do not see how it is justifiable; those are all part OF the Levitical Law Jesus' Priesthood replaces. I felt as you do for a long time, but the more I have studied it, it has become clear to me it is all woven together and is all part of this old Priesthood, which has been replaced. Mind you, this doesn't mean GOD'S Law is replaced, just the Levite's. Not "Abolished" just fulfilled by Jesus himself in regard to Salvation.
vudumojo 4 months ago
@vudumojo So then you would agree that the law has more than one purpose? It leads us to Christ, but it also shows us the basis of righteous living that is built upon by the gospel of Jesus. You see I interpret 1 Timothy 1 as saying that the law is not just for the lost but for everyone, because no one is righteous, as Paul says elsewhere. The law is to be used according to the gospel of Jesus Christ, which means in the light of it and with the changes made to the law under the new priesthood.
stuartalive 4 months ago
@stuartalive Right the Levitical Priesthood is replaced by Jesus'. Sin offerings are no more which required a Levite, but Jesus told us plainly in Matthew 5:18-19 that the rest of the Law is still in effect. "For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven:"

@quest380 AMEN! Sin is the transgression of the Law... and we are created UNTO good works and should WALK IN THEM, even though works do not bring salvation.

We ESTABLISH God's Law, of course.
Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ for our salvation though.

@quest380 You're right about the purpose of the Law of God *FOR SALVATION*.
Never forget Paul is talking about *for salvation*.
Paul also says we're *saved* by grace, through faith, and NOT of God's Law. PERIOD.
...then he writes Romans 3:31 "Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law."
Why do we ESTABLISH God's Law, if SALVATION ISN'T by the Law?
Everything is not ABOUT salvation.
Salvation and repentance is the milk, not the meat.

TORAHTEACHERS...There is a proper context for 1 john 5,but if a person understands it as meaning we have to obey the 10 commandments [the law] then, that's out of context...the Law was placed so we would try and fail at keeping them then look to Christ work on the Cross and his provision,or grace for us..he canceled the written word [the law] because it stood opposed to us,we couldn't keep it,and turn to the cross where he took all our sins [Grace] leaving only one sin that condems ... unbelief!

Even though we're saved by grace, through faith, we still establish God's Law...not for Salvation...not for our own justification, but because we have faith in God and his words...because we trust him we obey.

As wonderful as that might all SOUND to you, it isn't in Scripture.

9 The heart [is] deceitful above all [things], and desperately wicked: who can know it?
10 I the LORD search the heart, [I] try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, [and] according to the fruit of his DOINGS
vudumojo 11 months ago
@game11221 Yes, in regard to SALVATION Jesus did it all. We can't earn Salvation. It is FINISHED!
That is the MILK of the Word.
Once we are weened from the milk and drawn from the breasts we move on to the meat of the Word which is obedience to God's Law, not for our own justification and Salvation though, Jesus already completed that work, but because God commanded it.

Simple friend. The Law of God is Holy and perfect.
It is we who cannot abide by it's perfection.
We cannot keep the law *for Salvation / Justification* because the requirement is perfection, which we cannot DO.
Jesus fulfilled the requirements of the sacrificial system FOR us (God's grace)
Then we're told even still, keep and establish God's Law, not for our own Justification / Salvation, but because we love him and trust his Word.
Obedience has nothing to do with Salvation

2 Peter 2 19They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity—for a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him... 21It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the ( S A C R E D LAWS ) that was passed on to them. 22Of them the proverbs are true: "A dog returns to its vomit,"[f]and, "A sow that is washed goes back to her wallowing in the mud."

@leviticus8910 You said, "In Him we enjoy complete salvation. All glory to Jesus our Lord!".
Now listen, you are 100% right.
Understand though there are 2 issues not 1.
1) Salvation, which is by grace through faith and NOT works of the Law of God.
Jesus did it for us. It is the free gift, period.
2) We keep God's Law and Commandments, not to earn salvation but because we trust what God has said and love him, not to earn salvation.
This is not "Legalism".
Completely separate issues...

Your accuser is Moses (LAW ), on whom your hopes are set. 46If you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote about me. 47But since you do not believe what he wrote, how are you going to believe what I say?" ...think about this !!! 7Therefore do not be partners with them.

...today in modern day Christianity, there are what I call "Pharisees of Grace" who replace the commandments of YHWH with man made ones, all under the guise of "grace" but in reality, they are promoting "legalism" because they want church members to be under their control instead of under the leading of the Holy Spirit and the scriptures.

...Got LEGALISM ???...Legalism is trying to earn your way into the kingdom by either keeping the Commands of G-d or by Keeping the Traditions of Men.

SHALOM !!!!

1. When Jesus said He didn’t come to abolish the “Law,” He wasn’t referring to the “Law of Moses.” He must have meant some other law.
2. We have misinterpreted what Paul meant when he said that we are “not under the Law.”
Let’s examine conclusion #1. What did Jesus mean by the “Law?”
BP7000 1 year ago
But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. - Galatians 5:18 (KJV)
If Paul truly taught “freedom from the Law” as most Christians believe he did, then is he not, according to Jesus, called least in the kingdom of heaven for teaching men to annul even the least of God’s commandments?
How can we justify this apparent contradiction? There are two primary logical conclusions:
BP7000 1 year ago
Paul said in several of His letters that we are no longer “under the Law,” and most Christians have interpreted that to mean that Paul is teaching that we are free from the Law and therefore do not need to keep the Sabbath or the dietary laws or God’s commanded feasts or many of the other laws from the “Old Testament.”
For ye are not under the law, but under grace. - Romans 6:14 (KJV)
BP7000 1 year ago
At the beginning of the “Sermon on the Mount” in Matthew 5, Jesus clearly said that He did not come to abolish the Law and that not even one detail would pass from it until heaven and earth pass away, which has not happened yet. It would seem then, that according to Jesus, the Law must still be in effect today. Jesus also said that anyone who taught men to break even the least of the commandments would be called least in the kingdom of heaven.

GET SAVED
1.) Say the sinners prayer, and you are saved by grace.
2.) Go to church on Sunday.
3.) Pay your 10 percent to the paid professional that teaches traditions of men (Pharisees).
4.) Try to keep only 9 of the commandments (except the Sabbath).
5.) See how much you can get away with and still be under “grace.”
6.) Believe that you are saved no matter what you do or fail to do.
7.) learn how to break the commamdaments of YHVH.
8.) Find out on judgment day that Messiah "never knew you."
BP7000 1 year ago 2
@BP7000 Well exactly, because God's GRACE is meant to lead us to REPENT, turn around 180 degrees DO what he says not what we have been doing, even though the CORE, the DRIVING force behind or actions isn't to be saved, Jesus finished that WORK FOR US. The driving force behind our actions is simply because we have faith in what he has told us, so we DO them!
Very NON-complicated.
Anyone who cannot *get* that, does not WANT to *get* it !!!!!!!!!!
There's no contradiction.

Are we saved by grace through faith and not of ourselves or of our works.
Yes, by grace, through faith.
Are we still supposed to be faithful?
Yes of course we are to be faithful, because it is through faith that we are saved by grace.
It is all hand in hand and grace doesn't mean stop obeying God, although our salvation is not earned.
Study God's Word and obey Him.
It's so simple we miss it, because the religions of this age lie to us, but the Scripture is easy to understand IF we study it.

Also, the only day of the week given a proper name is the Sabbath.
That is the name, not Saturn day.
Man made doctrines and pagan sun worshiping Babylon mystery religion have infiltrated "Christianity" early on.
According to Scripture, all other days are numbered only, yet now we call them by pagan god names.
This is not Scriptural.
Just because a priest or preacher says it doesn't make it the Word of God.
vudumojo 2 years ago
Nevertheless, are we saved by following the laws and commandments of God???
No, we're saved by grace, through faith.
However, by faith we obey God, because we have faith in His Words and wisdom.
That's why we should be faithful.
Not to earn anything, but because that's what we do.
vudumojo 2 years ago
what is the Sabbath? Saturday or Jesus or Sunday.
keith19692 2 years ago

JasonVoorhees138 2 years ago
I understand where you are coming from Jason; I cut my Christian teeth on the message of grace and grace alone, and Bob George was a great influence on me over the years, and I still agree with many things that he says, because it is in agreement with the Bible, but it is a blasphemous statement to say following the law of God is against God.
It's ludicrous. I used to subscribe to the same doctrine as you, but we obey God because we love Him and trust what he has told us, not to earn salvation!
vudumojo 2 years ago
What is grace? It is forgiveness for transgression of the law. If the law is done away with, then there is no need for grace! We are saved by grace alone, not by our "works" in keeping the law. We keep the law because we love God.
