NYPD radio traffic on 9-11

New York City could have coordinated better if they had a P25 or Motorola trunking system but instead they still rely on common land-mobile VHF and UHF radios (that any civilian could buy for under $400) with PL tones. If they had 1 trunked 700-800 Mhz system city wide all law enforcement, fire, ems, and 911 dispatchers could be in the same frequency pool but separate each division via talk group.
