I'm not positive about this but I think the higher the difficulty, the higher the number of time an enemy shoots a "red" bullet. For some players this could actually make the game easier since it makes them more likely to instinctively duck "just in case." Likewise, it could make the game more difficult on easier difficulties since red bullets will become more sparse and thus more random.
Very easy is always easy though since enemies hardly shoot at all.
i think your right for me i can easily dodge red bullets on very hard because im expecting them but on normal when the red ones come out of the blue i almost always get hit.
I had to; classic gun-games don't work on LCDs. Time Crisis 4 came packaged with senors, similar to the Wii, so that it could work with LCD. Unless a different method can be figured, sensors will most likely be the norm.
If I knew this ahead of time, I wouldn't have gotten rid of my old TV ;_;
You can now get LCD/Plasma based light guns, so you can play games like Time Crisis II on LCD TVs. Unfortunately, they are quite expensive and go for insane prices. They're about £50-£70, or $75-$105 (which is quite a lot for a light gun. I got my G-Con 45 with Time Crisis 1 for £11.99 (about $18), and my G-Con 2 with Time Crisis II and 3 for £13.95 ($21)).
@LastSteelgod I'm afraid not. I think that's the only way to make them work. The G-Con 3 that come with TC4 has sensors. Why are sensors a problem? I can see them being problematic with projectors, but for normal LCD TVs they're fine, and you can purchase special clamps separately to fit on larger TVs.
I'm quite jealous that this is on your PS3, I only managed to get the 40GB version.
Oh, why don't you try Two-Point Calibration for it? Point the gun off of the screen, hold the C button and pull the trigger. I figured out that it can be done with a G-Con 45 aswell if you calibrate the G-Con 2 with that first.
Sure does. That's how I played 2-Players with my bro (although that's not in the video)
Keep in mind though that you'll need a controller adapter to get it to work on the PS3 since the Guncon1 doesn't use USB. Be careful; that kind of adapter can go for insane prices. It might just be cheaper to buy two Guncon2's.
I haven't tried it but I doubt it would work. I don't think Namco would bother making the Guncon 3 backwards compatible for games that they don't even make anymore.
A Guncon 2 is tough to find at a decent price but keep in mind that it'll work on a PS3. I think a Guncon 2 works for Time Crisis 4 but again, I'm not sure.

The gun con 2 symbol is different in the pal reigons, they also painted it blue not orange, it was renamed G-con 2 just to say.
lethalbullet1 3 years ago
I remember seeing a blue guncon online once. I wish the US versions were blue. Or grey would be even better. Orange looks way too much like a toy.

how did you play it on ps3 with guncon (STANDARD TV)
XthemastaX 3 years ago
Use the Guncon 2 (the PS2 orange Guncon, not the PS1 gray Guncon)
It will only work with the standard def. cables.
Just hook it up they way you normally would with the Guncon's yellow splitter intersecting with the PS3 yellow video cable.
If you got it to work on a PS2 then it should work the exact same way on PS3.
