I contacted you 4 months ago with some questions about apple wine. I made some wine out of crab apples from the trees in my yard. They are about the size of the ones in your viedo. I just finished racking 5 gal. of it for the third time and I had to try it. I cant believe how good it is. I guess the deer will have to find something else to eat next year. They aren't getting any more of my crab apples....OK I will leave them some.
I make apple wine from a canned concentrate from the grocery store. I use montrachet yeast and then I rack it off into a sterilized bottle and put malolactic bacteria into it for a couple weeks.
I drink it young and it usually makes my nose run and sneeze. Do you know why this is?

I'm going to make some apple wine this fall. Is there much difference in taste from using regular apples as apposed to using crab apples?
