I just got my tonsils and adnoids out today, my doctor said it was a struggle because they both gianormous, he also said my voice will be completely diffrent once I can talk again(thats right I can't even talk). Before I went into the operating room they gave me some medicine to calm me and make me a little woozy and giggly. I started seeing 2 of my mom, and then when she was talking I was like "shutup four eyes." but it wasn't even that scary

i got mine out on friday i am 11 years old and it hurts really bad i ate icecream then i spat out gunk then i worried so i looked it up and there was a comment saying dont eat it , now my throat hurts real bad

I have 8 days after my tonsillectomy and found myself in the mirror I see I have pus there where my tonsils removed. After surgery there is pus or have not??????? I need go to my doctor???????? helpe me.

Only if I saw this before my surgery! I had them taken out 6 months ago.. not so bad as I thought! But I told my mom that I wanted something to drink and we only had orange juice! So I drank that and there was a sharp pain and the back of my throat! I didn't know. then! 6 months later I saw this and I was like.... Ohh orange juice is too hard? Huh.. okay. I went to my mom and said "YOU!" Lol I showed her the video then she just left like it wasn't her fault! Lol. Thanks for this awesome video! ♥

If you are allergic to dairy you have to eat jello or ice

@lovable2kitten How old are you?...maybe because your younger, they lied, i was 15 when i got mine out, And after i wasnt allowed to eat anything dairy because the milk gunks up you throat and makes it harder to swallow and can also gather bacteria. Your meant to eat hard things, even if it hurts. its how you get better. Grow a back bone. >.>

I wouldn't eat gummies. Even ice cream hurts, I really can't eat or drink. I'm losing lots of weight...

I wish I had the taken out when I was your age, they say it gets more painful as you grow up, I'm 17 and I've been worse pain but I had never felt so much constant pain.

@ShutUpNtellMe oh my God im sixteen and its horrible i was so shakin up while i was waking up from the surgery i just cried and asked my doctors for a hug and then i felt sort of better i just was sooo scared to get them out i cried when i woke up..... it was  horrible.... but IM ON DAY TEN!!! WHOO! AND it sucks like hell becuz i lost en or more pounds already... :( sigh what a mess.....

I had mine out last year and the only thing I hated was that they wouldn't let me home until I'd eaten. Luckily it was chips, jelly and ice-cream. LOL! At first, they use gas or they give you an injection to make to sleep. And the feeling I got when it began to work, I loved it (for some weird reason). You don't even notice that you're falling asleep. The next thing you know, it's all over! That's how quick it feels, honestly. As for pain, it's no different than a sore throat. =)

I got my tonsils out 5 days ago i feel better don't be scared .. OK i gotta admit IT WILL HURT LIKE HELL on the 5th day it suddenly begins to heal if u scream 2 much your throat will hurt and bleed i lots of ice cream after the operation your throat will bleed a lot but don't worry i am only 10 and i did the operation

@asiangirl3345 there is NOTHING to be scared of! (: I'm 10 I had mine out 6 months ago! Take her tips and take this one from me: Day 3 you will have sore pains (or any other day.) Day 5 is when I started to eat soft stuffs like soup and noodles.... I hoped this help! :D There is nothing to be afraid of! (Just the IVs :S I had to get 5!)

eat soft stuff...like mashed potatoes...and ramen =P i lvoe ramen...cause it hurts to open your mouth...and your ears might hurt cause your nerve endings might be close together and it really hurts when you take medicine...only if your nerve ending are close together..
