Chuchuliga???
George Enescu was the greatest Romanian composer who put soul in what he did! He has inherited this song "Ciocarlia" who cheers people!
ciocarlia is a song that is interpretated in bulgaria, serbia, romania, hungary, even ukraine...is a folk song. but it's origins are in the danube plane,on both sides of the danube...so romanians and bulgarians maybe are the folklorists
Right! Its just a popular tune popularized by Dinicu. As far as I know he is Jypsy so msut be Roma tune? However the tune is popular south of Danube as well. Find Diko Iliev (brass instrumentals) and you'll see a lot of similarities. Maybe the tune come south with the Roma movement in 19th c.? In Bulgaria some Roma people still speak kind of Romanian language - so called Vlach jypsies. I know some of them and similar tunes could be heard. BTW, there are similarities with Hungarian tunes too.
Look, "Roma" have nothing to do with Romanians, Gipsies are Gipsies and Romanians are Romanians.
Gipsy musicians sing not only Gipsy music but also a lot of Romanian folk music (those Gipsies who live Romania). This song is NOT A GIPSY SONG, it's a Romanian folk song.
Listen to Miroljub Arandjelovic "Kemis" version. The title is "Seva" (The Lark, in english). The composer is Grigoras Dinicu, as said from dluis1 and ocotmbrienegru. It's also the theme of "Kalashnjikov" (Slobodan Salijevic and NOT Goran Bregovic as most of people thinks).
