  • Bad day

  • what an idiot

  • I JUST WENT SKYDIVING!!!!

  • why does the announser sound like he is from disney?

  • it's not fun..............some mistake will die

  • Dangerous!

  • Yea my brother and I are never going to skydive because there's still to much room for error

  • PS Dumbass! they DO TRAIN YOU WHAT TO DO! You just obviously cant follow instructions. they dont train you to pull your cut away handle to deploy your reserve.. you my friend, should not be skydiving.

  • The first handle pulled was a MAIN CANOPY cut away handle. thats why nothing was deployed.THEN the instructor pulled a BOC Pilot chute cut away handle that pretty much opens up a trap door so your main will deploy by first deploying your pilot chute. This is seen on student rigs.. now. His main goes to deploy and cant because it was already cut away... THE MAIN DIDNT FAIL.

  • Is He that Pracher From Bruno? Lol

  • First one was unlucky second one was just plane stupid

  • hahahahaahhhah this motherfucker had a deathwish for sure

  • It's not the fall that kills you; it's the sudden stop at the end.

  • He had seven souls .. six of them left that day

  • not my best day ever

  • Time to take up origami i think.

No he would probably still lose a leg or something.

  • I would have sued the teacher for attempted murder

  • this sounds like disney gut

  • the instructor was trying to guide his hand back to deploy the main canopy and Mr.Retard saw the big red dont pull this unless you need to handle and pulled it. this fucker does not deserve to be walking around especially after blatantly lying on t.v. he must off fell asleep trough the ground school training. because i'm no expert but i have just passed my aff course and can see how fucking retarded this is

  • kel abruti

  • omg! HE COULD OF DIED

  • FINAL DESTINATION!!!!!!!!

  • @negrofuelgo xDDD

  • 1:00 "I don't think they taught me what would happen if your whole chute disappeared", Umm i'm pretty sure they tell you about the reserve you have, and how to pull it.

  • I like this show but they did TOTALLY LIE about what happened. Every skydiver I meet has said the same thing about this program.

  • Good Story. Dumb Character.

  • now back to hannah montana on Disney Channel

  • Hope he keeps his word about quiting skydiving. retards like him shouldnt even try that. How the fuck did he pass the course????

  • @Acetylen The ground course is all of 3-5 hours long, dependent upon the size of the class and how quickly they pick up the information. The second part of the course is the jump itself. There's a reason there are 2 other guys holding onto him. they're the instructors. Based upon his performance, they'll either pass him to the next level or make him repeat a level. Hopefully, he realizes that this just isn't his sport and he should move to something safer, like shuffleboard or dominoes.

  • блин, это ж надо быть таким везучим лошарой

  • When your luck is out....your lucks out

  • It's either the SPLAT or be fried !!!

  • блин, это ж надо быть таким везучим лошарой))))))))

  • if i ever did this

I would have 7 extra parachutes around me and i have too be the first too pull it just incase it does not work i can swim too the others

  • The guy is a COMPLETE idiot. Def. SOS (Stuck On Stupid) Award winner. I jumped over 200 times. #1 Rule/Lesson when free falling, know where your rip cord is. #1 Rule/Lesson when your about to land, stay clear of utility lines and tress. Would make for a better video if he fried on the lines.I'm sure if he tries bungy jumping the cord will wrap around his neck somehow.

  • I just love it when TV makes our sport look more dangerous than it is because they can't get there facts straight, " and his chute just breaks away". Dummy. As for the the student. I guess he needs more instruction. Looks like the instructor was working really hard to stop him from pulling the cutaway.

  • stupid fuck pulled his cutaway

  • that man is so unlucky

  • @katherine630 its got nothing to do with luck the equipment functioned perfectly, exactly as directed by scott. When the narrator says "he pulls the cord" scott actualy pulled his cutaway handle disconnecting his own parachute. As for the reserve there was nothing wrong with it, he just didnt steer it.

  • the guy who is talking is the guy who talks fur disney channel

  • he's a piece of shit....he should heve fallen without reserve chute....so next time you don't pull the release handle

  • dumbass!!

  • Death wanted this man on that day! Lucky bastard!

  • i love when he say's, "i deployed the chute".... what absolute crap! Surely his AFF instructors told him afterwards that they pulled for him! Obviously his ground school wasn't great but i reckon weeks of ground school wouldn't be enough for this excuse for a person!

  • For all of those that don't skydive. This is probably his 1st jump of a 7 level skydiving course. What you do in this first level is practice your handle touches( holding on to the handle to pull your main) 3 times. He forgot to do that and the instructor was leading him to his handle in the back of the parachute. However the idiot pulled the handle to let go of his main. The instructor did the right thing to pull his main immediately. You go through hours of ground school before this.

  • I can't believe the idiots who made this video... If they had taken 30 seconds to research how a cutaway system works, they would have known that this may be the stupidest moron alive since he pulled his CUTAWAY handle instead of his main deployment handle. Så yeah, of course the canopy breaks away, the idiot disconnected it... Truly unbelievable how stupid some people are.

  • I did two BASE jumps for AXN television, while wearing AXN TV cameras, off of the Bridge in Beckley WV, I wish I could see the videos I made for them!

  • Imagion being solo and you open your chute and it goes bye bye... Thats when you realize how hard the ground really is !!!!

  • Wasn´t he trained at all?

  • @TheBAGGEN of cause he was trained and he was also debriefed about his mistake afterwards but he chose to lie about it for profit.

  • lol the voice dudes around

  • @airbrenders So I'm curious; why don't all jumpers, regardless of experience, equip an AAD, especially those that do tandems? I recall hearing about a few deaths that were due to the instructor having a heart attack mid jump. Wouldn't it just be safer to include them in every jump, or is it a hinderance of some sort?

  • @Trixter65 Modern AAD's (cypres, argus, vigil etc) are completely concealed and do not cause a hinderance in anyway at all. In australia AAD's are manditory for all students/tandems (and rightly so) and some dropzones even mandate them for experienced jumpers too.

Rules vary from country to country but any dropzone not using AAD's on students/tandems should not be operating.

  • The instructor put the student's hand on the cutaway and the student pulled it. Then the instructor pulled the students parashoot. His main canopy was disconnected before it was even pulled! What's also inaccurate about this video is the notion that if the student didn't pull his reserve he would "splat". No drop zone lets their AFFs (student jumpers) fall without an AAD (device that electronically deploys your reserve at a set altitude if you don't pull the main).

  • i thought i had a bad day...

  • Yep, this is a classic example of intentionally misrepresenting the facts to make a story out of it. The parachute DID NOT rip away as the announcer stated- this nut pulled his own cutaway handle just as the instructor deployed the guy's main canopy (which he should have done himself instead). The main canopy disconnected as it should have in this situation. It's the guy's own fault, which he later proves by hitting power lines after apparently making no attempt to avoid them!

  • Can someone who knows their stuff answer a question for me? why do you only wear 1 main and 1 reserve? why not 2 or 3 reserves for extra safety? i know the chances of 2 chutes failing on you are way out there, and theres probably weight/space issues with wearing 3 or 4 chutes but is there isnt reason you couldnt rig 3 or 4 for a jump?

  • @onerichie Your main in skydiving is designed for performance of flight and speed and ease of packing. The sacrifice there is a higher rate of malfunction.

A reserve is different. They are designed and packed to have an almost negligable error rate.

Reserves do not fail enough to warrent the added height required and complexity of a third parachute.

Simplicity in the use of the gear and 1 reliable reserve is safer then a complex system.

  • @onerichie The vast majority of skydiving injuries and deaths are caused by crash landing fully operational parachutes not double malfunctions.

On a side note: In regards to this video there wasnt an actual malfunction. The parachute did not rip off as they say. The student pulled his cutaway handle in freefall which disconnected his main canopy.

  • @onerichie Other numbers of parachutes and configurations are used from time to time depending on the jump.

In the case of test jumping new canopy designs or intentionaly cuting away your main for experience then a 3rd parachute is used.

In BASE jumping the low altitude exit points and deployments make reserves useless so single parachute rigs are used. They are designed and packed specificaly for reliability and deployment speed (like a skydiving reserve).

  • Awesome, thanks for taking the time to give me all that info mate! interesting stuff. I'm think of doing my first skydive soon, and I thought it best to find out what I'm getting myself into! :D Thanks again.

  • haha what a wanker! you can see he pulled his cut away! so hes been waiting 8years and dont even listen to what hes been told!

  • lol

  • what a fool

  • If you are going to freefall, you should be able to pull what you need to pull with your eyes shut. It's hard to see, but, it doesn't look like he even tried to make any evasive maneuvers to miss the power lines.

  • LUCK has nothing to do with this incident. Scott, you should NEVER skydive again. You had ample time to plan a landing pattern WITHOUT FLYING INTO POWER LINES! One of my best friends was killed by f**king power lines less than a week ago, and that was unlucky. This video should be deleted because it fools people who are not familiar with the sport to become skeptical about participating in it. I can't get over how much of an idiot you are Scott

  • who the fuck do you think you are asswipe? whats your friends excuse for flying into power lines? just the other day my mrs asked me to define irony, i just brougght her through now to show her it working. ''NEVERJUDGEOTHERS'' ? are you retarded?

  • He does not have an excuse because he is dead... I'm not going to asking you to explain your last two sentences because based on your outburst and language you have the intelligence of someone who has not completed 12th grade, but if you knew anything about skydiving... you would know that scott lotz almost got one of his instructors killed because of his mistake... a big one; and skydiving is not forgiving.

  • way to pull your breakaway. its red for a good reason. idiot...

  • ummmmmm u know that other chute u have ??? F***ing use it! hahaha my goodness i hope he doesnt skydive

  • What an IDIOT! He should have died, evolution should be at work here. Dumb people die.

  • Comment removed

  • @PlanetXObserver if you pull ripcord instead of opening your canopy you are a complete moron and should die. that is precisely what evolution is about, dear.

  • ouch i was shocked when the chute goes off..

i think its what you call magic

  • @magicianmunar The chute didnt rip off, scott lutz pulled the cutaway cable instead of his ripcord.

The gear did exactly what he directed it to do.

  • talk about bad luck

  • Comment removed

  • scott hates god

  • god, i hate scot..

  • More like pay better attention to your instructors and know the difference between your deploy chute and your main cut away.

  • weirdo999gmail..... shut up

  • well the power lines thats hes fault he an idiot

  • Omg unlucky xD

  • Meh, he'll respawn.

  • you just made my day.

  • :-)

  • if i was sky diving and the parachute fails, i'll probably shit my pants

  • thats kinda nasty cause when you fall you land on your shit

  • cushioning

  • This guy is such an idiot!! The video clearly shows he pulled his cutaway cord (which cuts away the main parachute). Thats why his parachute came off as soon as it got pulled off. He proves how stupid some people are. In skydiving you are taught soooo well what to do in case things like that happen! Most people have to practice for ages before they are let near a plane for that kind of emergency!!

  • now that is stupid. . . reacting that bad. . . it's just a piece of ugly video. . . your comment is so bad, actually it won't help that much. . .lol XD

  • that couldent happen if someone tryed

  • i think it was this dudes day to die, he should just kill him self now ahaha

  • 0_o

  • lol that's horrible, parachute faliure then landing on powerlines! very lucky to be alive

  • It wasn't a parachute failure. The retard pulled the cutaway handle before the main canopy was deployed. As soon as the main came out, it went away because the retard had already disconnected it when he pulled the cutaway handle. Then he flew his canopy into the powerlines. You have full control of your canopy and where it goes. Shame he survived... could've improved the gene pool. Darwin was soooo close.

  • @nickgonzalesgrad03 Thanks dude this explaines everything now im deff not put off I cant w8 to do my first jump hopefully next year just a tandem to start :)

  • @nickgonzalesgrad03 ha ha ha, you can see the instructor trying to pull away his hand from the cut-handle. Some people aren't made for this :)

  • @nickgonzalesgrad03

Shame he survived? It was he's first try you moron. It's like saying to a new soldier who died in a war because of not enough knowledge, that he deserved to die. Please rotten in hell

  • @audun0905 "shame he survived" is a bit harsh but the guy is an idiot. Not because he made a mistake but because he blatantly lied about it for profit defaming the instructors in the process.

  • @audun0905 Before you start throwin' out the word moron, you should think about your analogies. That douche bag didn't die, so using a soldier dying in a war doesn't work for a comparison. As for your comment, "Please rotten in hell," I can only assume you meant, 'Please ROT in hell.' Microsoft word has a spelling and grammar check tool... Use it. Next time you use the word moron, you should be looking in the mirror.

  • can someone please tell me it ripped away from him i dont sky dive so i know nothing about it

  • the instructor pulled it but????? hows it scotts flaut

  • Lucky or unlucky ? Looking at his teeth id have to go with unlucky. Due could eat an apple through a tennis racket.

  • please put the idiotic narrator in a like harness n powerlines. airhead informatics for couch commandos...

  • "they trained me for all kinds of different chutes" "i dont think they ever trained me about what would happen if the whole chute dissapeard" YOU DUMB FUCK THYE TRAINDE YOU TO PULL THE RIGHT HANDLE!!!! not the cutaway pad!

  • Why wasn't this guy taught to return to neutral position, then pull reserve?

  • Pull priorities:

    1. Pull

    2. Pull at the proper altitude

    3. Pull stable

  • stupid shite he pulled the red cutaway handle

    which cutsaway your main shut

then the instructer pulls the main which is just going to fuk away from him.

  • This guy is an idiot for lying about what happened.

He should have said- Well I pulled the cutaway instead of my main chute, this was all my fault.

And the reason I am not going to skydive is because the DZ would ground me if I ever stepped foot on the property.

  • god that guy has the most irritating voice

  • double LOL!

  • he did pull the cutaway!! That's the instructors fault IMO - how could they miss that?? It's when he hits powerlines that I think scotty is a tit...LMFAO

  • I think the instructor pulled Scott's hand away from the cutaway but didn't notice that the cutaway was in his hand when he pulled the main knowing Scott never would've pulled the correct one by himself.

  • lucky or unlucky, lol 2 times

  • Should have had a reserve static line. Not everybody is switched on in the first few jumps. Still a tit though!

  • ulan ne cenabet adammış. otuzbir çekip de mi atladın lan aşşaya.

  • anybody who wants to skydive, watch this vid,,,,the guy is an idiot you are better...join us...

  • what a ding-a-ling.....guess he will forever femember to NOT pull that cut away and oh yea...FLY AWAY FROM POWER LINES. lucky to be alive! guys like this need to make pot holders, not TRY to skydive.

  • i dont even know what to say after watching that trainwreck....some people should stick to finger painting i guess.

blue skies to all the jumpers watching and getting a good laugh off this idiot.

  • Putz esse cara nasceu d novo!!

  • sorry guys, this idiot (called scott) pulls his cutaway handle(at 0:30) instead of the simulated regular deployment handle at AFF Level 1!!! the main chute stays obviously in the sky when the primary jumpmaster pulled the "shithandle". Then he (scott) fortunately deployed the reserve at time(lucky guy, or thanks god to have a cypres, ho ho)!!! what a failure!!

GOOD WORK, MAN, stay at ground. I think this guy was not knowing what he is dealing with.

  • i dont understand why that thing didnt worked?

    he made something wrong?

    please explain

  • He pulled the 'cut-away' which releases the main canopy. It is supposed to be used in malfunctions. When the instructor pulled the main, it did open, but the dip-shit had already cut it away. He then didn't pull the reserve until late. Tit!

  • How unlucky can you be?

  • Where can i download this video..?

  • alla fine hanno dovuto sparargli..

  • For those of you who don't skydive. Idiot pulled his main release handle, instructors can't see that, so they pull the idiots main, which is disconnected, it gives just enough resistance to stand him up. Idiot is then saved by automatic opener, then idiot flys into power lines. RIP buddy, you must've forgotten to breathe by now and died from that.

  • Your dead right. This guy is a complete fool. This is not an acident this is a guy who didn't listen or do what he was told. This guy shoudl stick to lawn bowls or knitting, we dont want guys like this skydiving.

  • lol

  • I'm sure the instructors looked at him and said, "Never again."

  • lol

  • Scott is the dumbest mother fucker. He had likely been told over 100 times in the previous hour which handle did what. Someone else must've handled driving the car to the drop zone. You're right - the instructor saw him go for the release handle and while pulling the main before he could do that didn't notice the cutaway get pulled.

    Stupid shit.

I remember this big fat lady that rolled out of our 182 and never bothered turning. Picked her up 2 miles away from the DZ. "Never again."

  • ma quanto e sfigato questo qui hhahaha genio

  • Like the dude that got hit by lightning 7 times

  • "learne to pray real fast" lol

  • lol

  • hahahahah!!

"where is scott going....to the powerline!!!"

    hahahaah!!

    lucky you survived biatch!! lol

  • worlds most unlucky person?

  • poo
