@xheIchildx NO dumbledore wanted snape to help harry defeat voldermort, he was a double agent. Harry was the last horcrux created by voldermort himself so only voldermort could kill harry vica versa.
Snape dies because vm thinks that snape is the owner of the elderwand wich is harry since he disarmed Draco in the room of requirement, and draco disarmed dumbledore in the astronomy tower... in the seventh book it is explained that severes loved lilly potter so much hed defend her son at all costs

@aqwspacefanatic no dumbledore died because he was poisoned by the horcrux ring ( wich had the stone of ress in him ). And harry needed to stay under the tower in order to prevent capture.

And voldemort does not know that snape is a traitor until after snape is killed.
