Ok here is what im guessing happens they both have the same jacket so on the Polaroid maybe she mistaken her guy (Gerry) with the other guy who may have been with a woman, so she thought he was cheating.

it has to do with Polaroid because the owner of the jacket took apparently took some naughty photographs with a polaroid camera, and she assumed (becuase the jacket looked like her boyfriends) the pics belonged to him.

the cat knocked someones jacket off the shelf. inside the jacket were some dirty pictures. the girlfriend thought they were of HER boyfriend so she shredded his stuff. He comes home with the friend that owns the jacket. Girlfriend then discovers she was jealous and stupid for no reason.
