  • This guy knows NOTHING!! How many powerlifters do you see training like this? None.

In fact, a recent study showed that fast training with heavy weights (aka powerlifting style) built far more strength and size than slow training. In my own case, I have put way more muscle and increased strength with faster, but controlled, lifting. Slow reps didn't do jack for me or my training buddies!

  • yes but that is only one type of negative there are atleast 4 diffrent types of negs this is one you can do without use of a spotter using litter weight do your research

  • negatives you're supposed to rediculously overload your chest muscles with a weight you CANT rep out.. i do 60-70 pounds over my max and do 3 sets of 2-3 4 sec. negatives... shocks yo muscles, especially when you do it at the end of the workout like i do... once every 4 weeks...i gots 4 diff chest workouts

  • horrible spotter?seemed decent and motivating the guy to keep going. spotter doesnt have to be 50x the size of you or have to be able to bench the amount of weight you do to spot you. if they know good technique and pay attention like this guy did then its fine. stop complaining about everything and go lift some damn weights. you guys complaining about every little thing in weightlifting are the ones who will never get results because your afraid to try anything.

  • @MrRanger1987 Yeah, a spotter can be significantly weaker than the lifter, because you can pull a lot more weight upwards while standing (like a dead lift) than you can push up in a bench press, so even a skinny man in a dress shirt and tie could lift this bar off the man on the bench if he got in trouble.

  • i need dat dude in da tie to come train me man..shit loooks seeeeeeeeerious

  • am i the only one wondering why the guy is wearing a suit...?

  • try using an 18 grip

i promise u that it will not be as easy but u will get alot stronger alot faster

and if ur tire and cant do the positives then dont cause then u wear ur self out which is not good for the muscle

  • good 4 muscle mass not for strength

  • No.

Good for strength no for muscle gain

  • Good set man, forget about the other comments. They don't know shit about hit training.

  • and you are one of those idiots...you must have thick legs and no defined upper body

  • Strong i'll give em that

  • That spotter has proberly never trained ever!!! he looks like the guy that sells tickets at the train station.

  • Pretty stong with the great form you are using.

  • what a horrible spotter
