The only problem with their plan of having George act like he isn't friends with Jerry is that if Louis was to stay with Jerry she would have eventually met George
one of the best scenes. love george at 0:38 as he does a little dance while he says his name. george made this show; he put it over the top consistently.
i used to always want to race a teammate on my high school football team, he got to football camp after we ran the 40....i just wanted to see if i was faster....but he refused to race!!! we both find this episode hilarious.

I love it when they secretly insult each other, then when he is about to leave for spite JERRY:Hang on ..Geoge!! We haven't seen you in sooo long!!! Duncan and I were just talking about the day of the big race GEORGE: Oh the big raaaace! yes yes ....that was just priceless XD
Yes, tis and the Roommate Switch are two of the greatest Seinfeld moments. This is so multi-layered, it's incredible. I love the tiny pause before Jerry says 'Boy, you really went bald there, huh?'....
what 2 idiots dislike this video? anyway, this is a classic scene. i laugh everytime i see it, especially when Jerry says to George, "you really went bald there didn't you?"
The acting is fantastic in this scene. Just a wonderful show beloved all over the world. My personal favorite scene is also the last scene in the marine biologist. Just genius by Jason Alexander.

well i guess i started losing it when i was about 28 right around the time i made my first million...well you know its true what they say , the first million...knock knock, is the hardest one....LOL
Jerry: "Well you've really built yourself into something." LOL I also love how George almost leaves before actually talking about the race, which was the whole point of this scheme! LOL
in this scene you notice how jerry+george's covert ruse allows them to take real digs they would never otherwise take. it's the first time their attitudes towards each other become truthful! hilarious as hell!
The best part is I remember the second race they had, Kramer's car backfired and Jerry thought that was the start of the race and he got a head start again and won the race. Fucking hilarious
Of course his delivery was perfect -- he's a comedian. That's why so many comedians who get their own sitcoms usually wind up playing themselves -- they're not trained actors, so they can't pull off the personality of a character who isn't themself, but they are absolutely spectacular at projection and line delivery and emotional sincerity.
I usually hate the laughing tracks on these sitcoms, but Seinfeld was one show that an amazing audience who got every little obscure reference and enjoyed every little detail by the actors. Just listening to them go nuts when George walks in is priceless. I think the scene actually benefited from the audiences' great natural reaction, especially when George and Seinfeld are going back and forth. The JFK Magic Lugie scene also had a great audience who knew exactly what seinfeld was referring to.
Yeah, that was one of my favorite bits about the scene as well. You really went bald there was pretty funny. "Are you doing that 'did you ever notice' kind of thing? It seems a lot of guys do that kind of humor." Lol.
George was brilliant on this scene. "well George you really built yourself up into something." No kidding, he has no job and lives with his parents. Haha.
My favorite scene in any comedy show ever. Its pure genius the way they didn't go with the status quo and focus the conversation on Duncan Meyer figuring out George is lying about everything and ruining the charade. The characters stay true to their past actions and end up squabbing amongst themselves!

Several different audiences watch several versions of each episode, then they copy paste the laugh tracks around to fill in around the jokes.
