  • Derbyshire, still replete with old customs...I love 'time slips', also WW11. The Dakota and Oxford, as well as the Wellington all look fairly similar; twin-prop aircraft. When I lived in York, I walked onto an old bomber airfield. The ambience is hair-raising, old window panes, the glass long lost just as the young aircrew lost their lives, rapping to and fro in the wind.May they all have found peace. Dowding was a believer, and helped his dead get to the 'other side'. Fascinating. Thanks,GW.

  • Hopefully, when I die, my ghost will appear inside the playboy mansion where the models change.. YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • @flyby7a hell yeah!

  • Absolutely fascinating.

  • If this is true, there have to be millions of ghosts. have you ever seen one????

  • i worked on a ferry that was haunted and i saw him twice the second time we got him on cctv but the company took the video off the ship

  • they just threw their pens and papers in the air and took off head over heel ;P must have looked funny. these spirits can have a long lifespan until they enter into a new existance. they often need to understand a few things before they can continue. that's why they're stuck.

  • @nils426 I agree. I believe that most contact by "ghosts" is simply a deceased person trying to get the attention of someone living to pray for them. The most effective prayer to make for them is to ask God to send angels to minister to the individual(s) and guide them to heaven. Some times people have taken church dogma too seriously and believe they can't go to heaven because of such and such. The angels can make it clear that God loves them and wants them with Him at peace.

  • I am actually Buddhist and don't beleve in a god deciding the faith of others but in karma. But people have different heads and need different hats. I just think it's fine if people manage to cultivate more altruistic minds. Also I must say, It was nice to recieve such mature comment. Not every day you get that. Have a good day/evening Sir/Miss.

  • @nils426 I actually did this--prayed for God to send angels to let a man whose spirit was "stuck" in the house I am staying in. He was the former caretaker, and he was trying to get the attention of anyone who could sense his presence. At night people ju7st below the attic would hear scratching sounds (investigation showed no animals i the attic). After I asked God to send angels to explain to him that God wanted the man to be with God in heaven, the "haunting" and the scratching stopped.

  • That is wonderfull, very nice of you. I am sure it happened like this. The thing is, Buddhists do not need to ignore these things because we take refuge in minds nature which we call Buddha-nature. And so we do not need any outer nor inner agent when relying on mind itself in its unfabricated state.

  • The plane at 2:05 is actually an AW38 Whitley, not a Wellington.

  • @SizSkiizd its a RC AW38 :P

  • Flying aircraft freaks me out. Especially UFO's, and I don't mean in the alien sense, but in the 'what the heck is that?' definition. Although, aliens freak me out too. I don't care how 'friendly' they are; they are scary with their big eyes and slimy hands! Not that I believe in them or anything...but still.

  • She didn't know a wellington was lost there, neither did I. But I bet the person that lost it was pretty pessed off about having to walk back home with only one boot. :P
