He's confusing cause and effect. It was the flood of women workers into the marketplace, increasing the supply, that drove down the price (wages) of workers. It's not politically correct to point that out, but it is economically and realistically correct
Paul Volcker partially right about Recession being caused by American's spending more than they earn, this is just part of the cause, ultimately caused by income regression which led to working families trying these 3 coping mechanisms: 1) Women in Paid Workforce, 2) Parents Working Longer Hours, 3) Families going Deeper and Deeper into debt.
@aubie0071971 The "me-generation"? Are you fucking kidding me? Yes, because a family of four working two jobs just to keep floating deserves nothing...
Respond to this video...How do we reorganize the economy? Redistribute the wealth? No, the people at the top have a huge stake in the success of the little working class peasants
@aubie0071971 not anymore, they have a stake in the success of the little working class chinese, indian, bangladeshi, cambodian, vietnamese, s. korean, etc... but not americans... Americans want too much money for their labor!
This is awesome - here in Japan there are still gas station service attendants and bank tellers. They should be replaced by robots and become unemployed, all in the name of efficiency! Oh wait now they don't have jobs, oops.
Why are there no great intellectual leaders....

Respond to this video... Why, because we have the politics of hate and anger taking hold. Remember Russia 1917, Germany 1933...is that what you want?

Anyone know of the top of his/her head if President Obama ever consults with Robert Reich?

Robert Reich is without a doubt the most intelligent man on America's problems today.
