THEY ALWAYS SWITCH OUT THE POKEMON I JUST PUT TO SLEEP! Since my Spiritomb has a Zoom Lens and PATHETIC Speed, the Hypnosis hits most of the time!

Gamefreak is also the group of people who gave Shell Break to Baton Passers, gave Politoed Drizzle, gave pretty much every single Poke Double Team, etc. Gamefreak is the authority of creating Pokemon, yes, but competitively, they have no say outside of their own VGC events.

For me, Garchomp should stay Uber. 2 Ice Shards would never kill his Swords Dance Yache set. Btw it is bulky enough to come in almost anything. I just don't see the point of ALSO placing Salamence on Ubers. Now they only have two sets that pretty much look the same.

what happens when whoever runs smogon gets tired of getting walled by water types then all of a sudden "new" information is gonna arise to "proove" that water types are too good defensively. just like he or she did salamence. salamence is a great threat ill give them that ,but what does their P.O.V mean for the whole game "if its too strong well ban it to make it easier to win matches". thats what smogon has done. theyve made it easy for people who want to use their strategies. etc.

@TheSuperOrochimaru Smogon is an entire community of people, just like any other forum or site, and the site owner does not have all the power. In case you haven't realized, a Pokémon's tiering is decided by the council, who will cast votes ot the Pokémon's tier. Salamence was voted uber 8-1.

@BakedYanma Smogon is for 'noobs'? It's kinda the opposite, but, hey if you want to use your own team regardless of tiers then hey, that's fine. And the moveset thing, you do have a point and lots of people make their own movesets, but Smogon movesets are generally the best for what you want the Pokemon to do, such as lead, or sweep, etc.

well i have a couple comments one is that moving salamence to ubers is a bad prospect we only have very few good dragon types available in standard gameplay so doing that would drop the usage of dragon types in general. two is that garchomp needs to b dropped into ou status . i mean lets face it one or two ice shards and its done so making it uber only makes the metagame boaring .

three is that if anything blissey and clefable desere uber status and i do agree latias needed uber ...bulky.

@TheSuperOrochimaru I think that Flygon, Kingdra, and Dragonite are enough. Garchomp has unpredictability: you think its CBchomp, you send in whatever Pokémon to counter it, then it turns out to be LOSD chomp, then your CBchomp counter gets killed, and that's sort of how Garchomp pwns everyone. Also, mamoswine will ice shard, take a lot of health away, and then get killed by chomp.

@TheSuperOrochimaru We don't need too many dragons. The main selling point of the dragon type is the lack of types that resist it. In other words, dragon was meant mainly for the offensive. Therefore, Pokémon like Heatran and Luke who can already learn Dragon pulse can be considere adequate enough. Not to mention that dragon types are rare in general and we already have 3 of them in OU: Dragonite, Kingdra and Flygon. 3's enough in my opinion.

Jolteon on Electivire are the only electric type I use in the meta-game but I never thought about how to use Magnezone I rather use Metagross for steel pokemon

@antz045 Magnezone traps steels like Scizor, Metagross and Bronzong and can magnet rise to avoid earthquakes. That's sort of how it works. You don't have to use it (a lot of people on shoddy don't use it, but I do).

skarmory is not better than forretress, forretress has better phys bulk, it can set up toxic spikes if you want that,

And yes, Forretress has slightly better physical bulk (as well as Rapid Spin and Toxic Spikes), but Skarmory has reliable recovery, phazing, and taunt. Not saying Skarmory is "better", it comes down to what role needs to be served in your team.

@xabu9001 Scarf Rotom always 2HKOs Scizor after SR with Tbolt. If the Rotom is the bulky variant, Rotom outspeeds and Reflects or WoWs, then 3HKOs (2HKO with burn damage), while Scizor only 4HKOs. This is all if Scizor is lucky enough for the Rotom not to be carrying Overheat. Also, if you used Scizor you would know that Rotom is one of the most common switches into him, because he resists every move that CB Scizor packs, except Pursuit, which cannot hit a switch-in.
