Thanks for making this video! I love feeding my birds and often use Suet cakes. I usually wait until I find the suet cakes on sale or on special before I buy them. Because they cost so much. How much did you say making them your self cost you?? I couldn't make out what you said in the video. I'm going to try and make my own after watching this. Thanks again!!

The cost is about one quarter what you would pay for the pre-made suet cakes.
I pay $1.38 for the lard, and the rest of the ingredients is probably another $1.
I usually get about eight cakes after I cut them in quarters.
